I just hope the online launches without any hiccups. GTA Online launch was a nightmare.

If they don't announce it when it goes online it should be fine. Otherwise you'll have a million people hit connect at the same time and well... yeah.. chaos.

yeah you are right, besides there's still a lot of people that dont play online compared to GTA Online.

Nothing about shuffle racing?
But what about shuffle races? Seems like that was/is the "forgotten child" of online, had some of my best races in clean shuffle lobbies.

Shuffle racing was pretty much all I did in online lobbies, it was very popular among some. If they have gotten rid of it in GT6, that would be one of the most insanely stupid things possible!

So is online mode now enabled with the patch that just came out? Can anyone take screenshots or a video of the online options? Specifically, I'm interested in the room options. Can we now restrict cars based on actual parts instead of just PP and HP?

Wow, just thought about this again.

This is huge, we'll never have to worry about inspecting cars, we can make spec races at any spec with any parts the league organizer chooses, no more tuning prohibited racing needed for spec racing!

I hope they can extend this feature of loan cars to multi-make races too, can you imagine that? We would be able to keep all the cars spec'ed out in the garages of owners and release them to each racers instead of having to do inspections.
I also like this a lot. I hope they'll allow us to change the base color of the car. As an example I can distribute GT500 Nissan 'Calsonic' cars blue, red, green and so on.... No changes to stickers , just the base color...
If not it's kind of boring in case of 'one make' races...

Yeah, I don't want to be a debbie downer either, but I wonder if the loaner car is just the new Rec Garage...
Anyway, even if so, I really hoped the Rec Garage would have a wider selection at least!
I liked the Rec Garage, I just was disappointed with how few cars were available in there.

Of course I also hoped for a more programmable shuffle, where you could pick & choose the cars a bit more precisely. I guess that's not happening.
But I can't imagine they would do away with it altogether! The horror!

I like that minimum number pit stops option though.

Guys, please, can someone let me know if it's possible to add AI opponents in the online races? From what it looks like I'd say no, but hope it's still possible somehow.
Thanks for your time

Wow, not sure this even would've occurred to me. Interesting concept though.
Certainly haven't heard anything about such an option, sorry.

They NEED to bring back the shuffle lobbies...

There is a poll to vote for it if you would like to partake. Hopefully someone at PD will hear our pleas/requests.

So is it confirmed if they have or haven't???

:scared: :scared: :scared:

Can someone report please???

Unfortunately, I do not see any mention of the word shuffle within the Online Mode portion of the User Manual. Though...if you follow the link below, there is a blank space within the Room Settings where PD could add it later. That would be excellent!

I remember they said something about online championships, is that something they are implementing in the future?

I like seasonal 15th Ann time trial. It says even though the initial PP exceeds the event, a car doesnt qualify even by lowering the specs of the car. This feature in online rooms would make people build up their cars instead of grabbing a CSL or NSXR and detuning it.

Ya already have that. Game puts an X on the mode before you get that license ;)

Not sure I like that. I wasn't much of an online racer, but I did enjoy many of the Seasonals. Hate the idea of having to grind out a license just to access it. Wish they'd have left the license tests completely optional.

Dont worry, licenses are much easier this time around. Im very bad at the game and got all golds in these. Could barely get half of them gold in GT5. You'l be fine, they dont even take that long ;)

Much easier. They kind of suck now, SRF locked on. Golds are super easy. At least through A.

278 credits for 2 laps atDaytona with a friend.

Thanks, PD. I guess the Daytona 500 pays 5k?

In GT5 you got paid more when there were more people in the race, so two laps with only two cars wouldn't pay as much as two laps with a full grid. Don't know for sure it's the same in GT6 but I would presume it is.

Personally, this is what I think about the Online Servers so far.

Pros:

-Improved Server Quality is already imminent.
-Menu layout is nice and works great.
-Voice Quality has improved.
-Easy to navigate what you're looking for, and is also quick.
-Races are fun and not too glitchy.

Cons:

-Payouts are EMBARASSINGLY low. (Only got $8,600 for a 20-Lap race at Apricot Hill? Wut?)
-Shuffle Racing has been removed.
-Cars can't be broken in.
-Some glitches in Championship races.

No PSN screen names in lobbies? I just ran my room with friends, I saw the smiley faces but I had to ask them who the hell they were. Now I am “C. Houston”? WTF!

What if I had needed to kick and PSN block someone? I could kick them, but I wouldn’t know their PSN name to block them, or on the other hand to send them a FR.

I couldn’t see what aids or tires the other players had. I couldn’t see if they were new or not, no levels.

And speaking of new or not, I had to jump through a bunch of hoops - race a bunch of stupid AI, and do a bunch of license tests just to get online? Sooo stupid.

When making adjustments with the power limiter you don’t know where you are until you stop. I need to go to 425pp and I am at 431pp. Click, Click, Click, Click, stop – at 421 – other direction Click, Click, Click stop – at 427, change direction – Click, Click… you get the message.

Not to mention that online races pay crap!!! @Johnnypenso even after doing the required offline crap just to get online, I don't see any way maintain an online career by only racing online. I did all of the crap to get online, built the prize Clio to 425pp with racing soft tires, and left tonight with just over 944,000cr that is after getting the million from amazon. That puts me down ((30,000 + 1,000,000) - 944,000) 86,000 cr for a 425pp Clio, and a stock Fit.

I don’t really know or care about the rest of the game but they have made shambles of the online lobbies.

You can see what aids other drivers are using after you enter event, but before you go on track. Then hit square to toggle which aids.
