We're in a different world to the PS4 days, let alone PS3. Costs have ballooned, we're still stuck in cross-gen, and many studios haven't released a single (all-new) title for PS5. If past precedent is anything to go by Sony/PD will have been looking to release a PS5 only GT8 3-4 years after GT7. That now seems unlikely, and why would they. GT7 continues to sell well, PD remain at the tech cutting edge with a cross-gen title, and FM was a commercial and technical flop. You know the PS3 was capable of all of this and they did online updates, spec updates and seasonal content on both games for that console, right? It's not new to them at all.
Even excluding that you had the whole existence of GTS in which they could've 'learnt' with that, as they also did all of that there.
Last month, and if still not then, then probably this month. What content has been missed out on?
Guess we missed when these updates were announced?Last month, and if still not then, then probably this month.

Considering one single letter was why a Aliens game was buggy, that feels very possible.I don’t mind content getting skipped here and there but having to wait for content to get game fixes implemented is frustrating. Then again, they may just not have figured out the final physics remedies. Although, it sure feels as if a few decimal places are wrong, as opposed to things needing a massive rework..
🤷♂️
Definitely possible. I was changing the setup of a mod on a game I was playing a few days ago, I removed a double comma and it crashed the game everytime until I found out.Considering one single letter was why a Aliens game was buggy, that feels very possible.
I think he knows what a community is because he said that racing is not something you do alone.
We were promised monthly updates with new cars and whatever else they feel like adding, whether there is a track or not (for the most part, tracks were usually rare and in occasion).Updates weren't planned or announced for those months though?
We haven't missed any content. You just feel entitled to monthly updates that haven't been promised.

I think you have to reset your watch. You’re still on GTS time.We were promised monthly updates with new cars and whatever else they feel like adding, whether there is a track or not (for the most part, tracks were usually rare and in occasion).
Have I just set the record for actually correct predictions on this site?Double or nothing baby
I'm convinced at this point that this update was truly never even meant to happen.Double or nothing baby
The moment could either be soon (which is very unlikely IMO), October/November or worst case scenario December time.As per usual GTPlanet has you covered @GBalao888
Kazunori Yamauchi on Gran Turismo Fan Expectations, SUVs, Expensive Wheels, Tourist Trophy, and More
Image via Roger Sieber, games.ch Over the holiday period, and to mark Gran Turismo's 25th Anniversary, Polyphony Digital invited Japanese gaming media to a rare tour of its facilities and another opportunity for Kazunori Yamauchi to explain his thoughts of the past, present, and future of the serwww.gtplanet.net
“In addition he comments that GT7’s updates are not monthly by design, but that they just happen to be so at the moment. When asked if it’s a possibility that the updates could be more spaced out or closer together, he simply comments that it is.”
They have been more updates in the week of a GTWS event than not, so statistically it is more likely we will get an update this week than next.Nothing on kaz twitter yet, if we dont see any server mainterance notice tomorrow, we will know the answer, but the chance of any update in september now is extreamly low.
Given that there is 2 events this week, its not supricing there wont be an update,
Something bigger is proably revealed on either of 2 events this week for gt7
The focus might already start to shift more towards gt8, pd absolutly have content thats been hold back.
very true, but there is very little sign of an update this week now. They have been more updates in the week of a GTWS event than not, so statistically it is more likely we will get an update this week than next.
It's actually more common than not doing so.
Of the six live events in GT7's lifetime, four have had an update within four days prior to the event. The last one was even the last event: 1.50, which wasn't a content update, arrived three days before the Prague event on August 7...
Neither Montreal nor the Barcelona 2023 final had updates immediately before them, but Amsterdam (1.36, August 7 2023), Monaco (1.26, November 24 2022), and Hangar-7 (1.19, July 28 2022) all had content updates in the four days before. 1.26 was even the day before; I vaguely recall pre-writing it and finishing it off in Newcastle Airport.
But we haven't seen a pre-announcement for that. When they did that stunt in Montreal, there was a pre-announcement.My prediction, trailer update this Saturday at GTWS with update early October
Late October* just like the July announcement at the end of June and then end of the month next update lolMy prediction, trailer update this Saturday at GTWS with update early October
