Kaz will really need to address the community if there's no update this month, and will also have to ramp up the amount of content missed out on.

You know the PS3 was capable of all of this and they did online updates, spec updates and seasonal content on both games for that console, right? It's not new to them at all.
Even excluding that you had the whole existence of GTS in which they could've 'learnt' with that, as they also did all of that there.
We're in a different world to the PS4 days, let alone PS3. Costs have ballooned, we're still stuck in cross-gen, and many studios haven't released a single (all-new) title for PS5. If past precedent is anything to go by Sony/PD will have been looking to release a PS5 only GT8 3-4 years after GT7. That now seems unlikely, and why would they. GT7 continues to sell well, PD remain at the tech cutting edge with a cross-gen title, and FM was a commercial and technical flop.

When you consider the upcoming 'My First GT' and Sony using GT7 to spearhead their PS5 Pro push. Far from things winding down, it seems to me they're doubling down on GT7. Hence my belief we could get substantial Spec/Anniversary updates to take GT7 though to late gen. At which point GT8 can be cross-gen PS5/PS6.

I don’t mind content getting skipped here and there but having to wait for content to get game fixes implemented is frustrating. Then again, they may just not have figured out the final physics remedies. Although, it sure feels as if a few decimal places are wrong, as opposed to things needing a massive rework..

🤷‍♂️
Considering one single letter was why a Aliens game was buggy, that feels very possible.

Definitely possible. I was changing the setup of a mod on a game I was playing a few days ago, I removed a double comma and it crashed the game everytime until I found out.

Updates weren't planned or announced for those months though?

We haven't missed any content. You just feel entitled to monthly updates that haven't been promised.
We were promised monthly updates with new cars and whatever else they feel like adding, whether there is a track or not (for the most part, tracks were usually rare and in occasion).

I think you have to reset your watch. You’re still on GTS time.

We were promised no such thing for GT7.
Don’t get mad when things that you have made up don’t come to fruition.

As per usual GTPlanet has you covered @GBalao888

“In addition he comments that GT7’s updates are not monthly by design, but that they just happen to be so at the moment. When asked if it’s a possibility that the updates could be more spaced out or closer together, he simply comments that it is.”

The moment could either be soon (which is very unlikely IMO), October/November or worst case scenario December time.

I wonder if they are still trying to amend the new physics and considering the impact it has overall, then perhaps it shouldn’t surprise it will take a while considering some cars are still affected more than others.

Also who is to say we don’t get another update of 2024 and the next one won’t be due until January 2025?? Obviously I absolutely hope that’s not the case and it’s probably quite unrealistic to suggest it but if they are through 2 whole months so far with no update, then who knows at this point.

(Any suggestions that this has to do with GT8 being more in the works in my opinion is heavily far-fetched btw).

Nothing on kaz twitter yet, if we dont see any server mainterance notice tomorrow, we will know the answer, but the chance of any update in september now is extreamly low.

Given that there is 2 events this week, its not supricing there wont be an update,

Something bigger is proably revealed on either of 2 events this week for gt7

The focus might already start to shift more towards gt8, pd absolutly have content thats been hold back.

It’s fall. We need a fall track. Autumn Ring and all its layouts. That’s my prediction, it’s time.

Fix the physics updates, it’s specific to certain cars, some feel great while others went from great to what happened?

I believe since we’re so far into it now, credits should be even easier to earn or let us gift cars or credits. People are maxing out on their credits. Maybe they could have it so people can straight up gift cars or credits or race for credits. I recommend the game to lots but I feel I must warn them, you have to invest a little or actually a lot of time to get the cars you want… that usually turns them off of it…. “Ohhh, no thanks I’ll stick to my other racing games, too bad I’d like to join up with you guys”

It’s wishful thinking but they could really ramp up activity on the game by allowing users to charge their custom race settings. Like if a friend spent hours making their custom race just right, they share it to me. I drive their car (maybe I can apply my livery to it) against all the cars they’ve tuned. Then I can rate the race. That gets more single player content in without having to lift a finger so to speak.

They have been more updates in the week of a GTWS event than not, so statistically it is more likely we will get an update this week than next.

I have said before:

GT7 Spec 3 in line for a cross gen PS4 pro, PS5 and PS5 pro

My educated guess at the moment:

A small update for us here in September to tuck us in and fix small stuff in preparation for the bigger update coming at the end of Oct right prior to .... Which most likely will not be released until the day the PS5 Pro is first sold.

Then a patch or two in Nov to correct any issues.

Then a Christmas end of December big update to restore our faith in Kaz ...

very true, but there is very little sign of an update this week now.
I dont think we get one the first week in october either, more like end of october with the pro patch. Maybe a spec lll kind of update, But i guess time will tell,

It's actually more common than not doing so.

Of the six live events in GT7's lifetime, four have had an update within four days prior to the event. The last one was even the last event: 1.50, which wasn't a content update, arrived three days before the Prague event on August 7...

Neither Montreal nor the Barcelona 2023 final had updates immediately before them, but Amsterdam (1.36, August 7 2023), Monaco (1.26, November 24 2022), and Hangar-7 (1.19, July 28 2022) all had content updates in the four days before. 1.26 was even the day before; I vaguely recall pre-writing it and finishing it off in Newcastle Airport.

Hahah, wink twice if you know something about the next potential update😅😅

Just curious, has GT Sport ever gone two months without any content updates during its hay day? (Not including 2020-2021 updates)
