GT7 Circuit Experience Overly Difficult....

Anyone having difficulties with the dirt tracks after update 1.13? I have golded every circuit experience except for the rally tracks, and even if I gold a sector on the dirt track I consistently find myself dead last on my friend leaderboard by a significant margin. Wheel, controller, assists on/off, brake/torque balance, handbrake, etc., I’ve tried everything and cannot seem to properly get the cars to turn in enough. Finding the car/track combinations on the dirt tracks to be far more difficult than even the 1 lap Nordschleife.

I have the same feeling. Dont even try at the Moment.

I golded dirt tracks after update and main problem for me were jumps, easy to lose control after landing.

Just gave it a try and the feel seems pretty similar to pre-patch. You’re not really meant to “turn in” in the traditional sense so much as just flick the car to force a slide in the direction you want.

I didn't notice a difference in the dirt tracks, before and after 1.13.
Like mentioned above, the jumps can be the deciding factor on getting gold or not. Pre 1.13 I golded Sardegna with a lucky bounce at the end, that didn't throw me into the wall. Then golded Fishermans Ranch after 1.13.

The jumps are still an issue, even though they mentioned "fixing" them in the patch notes for update 1.12 or 1.13.

yeah I think most tracks are definitely do-able, but there are some that I feel like could use a few adjustments. Maggiore for example, I feel like I'm having a good lap but then I'm a second behind gold. I don't get it.

Most crucial part (at least for me) was carrying speed in part 3 of this course so be sure you golding it constantly without problems.

I did Colorado Springs after the patch. It wasn't too bad, but the jumps were ridiculous. I recommend 50/50 or 45/55 torque split. I think gold I did 50/50, but each requires a tweak in driving style, turn in points, etc.

Today I did S3 and whole lap of Catalunya, and Spa, but only silver for full lap.
Everything is completely fine until last chicane - it's so slip, much worst then in S-10.
I don't know what happens there, anyone else had similar issues?

Update:

Got gold in meantime, 2:20.800
On my FL are guys with 2:17...

The circuit experience in GT7 for me has definetly 'put me off' trying, I've only made a handful of attempts at these but most werer pre 1.13 patch, managed to gold Colarado Springs (a waisted day of my life but I got gold), Daytona and Dragon Trail Gardens and Seaside but the rest I only ever get bronze or maybe a silver or two (Interlagos).

I figure I must be missing something in my setups to be able to do well at these, I like the challenge but it is very frustrating/time consuming at the same time.

One day hopefully I will be able to get further and achieve some gold times.

The only thing I would like to see PD change about this is remove the 'Try Again' screen and just let us finish like they did with GT Sport, we are not going to get the time/gold by hitting barriers/corner cuts (maybe in certain instances) but that screen and the comment Sara makes is quite a trigger point for me.

Can't you already dispose of the ones you don't want to keep ? (In exchange for nothing as of now)
You can discard them only if you have more than one. If you have only one of a particular car, punching the discard button just gets you a message saying you can't do it.

I am surprised to hear so many people having an issue with the Trial Mountain one.

I did it today and took two attempts for sector 1 and two attempts for the lap (first attempt was .026" off) for all the golds. I love that track and the Mazda Vision so it was pretty straight forward. I think the Mazda handles really well. Unlike that Audi R8 which can go die in a fire.

You can. You on a PS5? Link your PS5 with your YT account and use that little record button on teh controler. Once your run is recorded, you can upload it right to YT. Quality is still better with a capture card, but it's good enough to show a lap.
I am impressed! I managed all sectors gold but with the lap attack I am a century off the pace: about 1.3s off the pace. There is something I am missing and I have a gut feeling that I will never achieve it. Normally, I manage gold in everything but this is practically the first time that I will have to come to terms with myself and stay in silver.

I think its much easier after patch 1.13, I beat my previous gold time by 0.5s in 3 attempts while struggling previously.

Most of the ones I was having issues with are much easier after 1.13, but there are still challenges to be had.

I did Tokyo Express - East Clockwise today, and it gave me all sorts of trouble. I must have tried that middle sector 30-40 times, before finally passing it with a comfortable margin (seemingly out of the blue). It took about 3 goes to get gold in the full lap, but I may have aged a couple of years. Guess I'll do the counterclockwise version tomorrow, to finally cross all the Tokyo circuits off my list.

I now have them all gold

I have 100% gold on all the circuit experiences on GTS but some of these on GT7 are quite unbearable, even on my T300RS. Like, I am honestly to the point if I keep trying to get gold on the GT7 ones, I will stop playing the game lol. Everyone thinks the license test are hard, wait til they try some tracks in Circuit Experience. Tell me why PD thought it was a great idea to make these way harder for no reason. Some tracks I am over a second off, even on a wheel, so I am sorry for the controller users. Also went back to sport and the same sector 1 on Suzuka has the gold requirement 5 seconds slower. GT7 wants you to get a 33.600 where GTS wants a 38.900 with basically the same Gr.3 NSX, and GTS is lenient on track limits and walls. GT7 is strict just like the Licenses so I think PD either has to adjust the gold requirements and give more freedom on track limits like GTS or allow us to use our own cars.

Btw I am absolutely loving the game otherwise but man Circuit Experience is quite deceiving lol
I am a controller user and not finding those impossible. Some I had to do 50 times or more, but when you soak in the event for a while you get better and better times. Just keep going and don't get pissed off. Be Zen bruh, and push. Currently at 48% of circuit experience tracks completed, I only have a bronze on Nurburgring full lap. Everything else I golded.. with a standard controller. Made ~20 million credits in 4 days doing only circuit experience. The ones I remember as hardest to gold so far, are:

1) Alsace (full lap),
2) Sardegna dirt track (full lap and last sector)
3) Suzuka (first sector)
4) Mount Panorama (second sector)
5) Maggiore (full lap)

.. not in that order :)

Does anyone of you have a comparison for the Deep Forest CE with sector 2 being the hard part, between before and after the latest patch ?
I've tackled this today and while I'd read a lot here about the hard-to-tame Audi, it didn't appear that difficult to me - honestly, it was fun as soon as I had figured out about the car.
I golded the FL on my third attempt and first complete lap I could manage.

Overall, I would say that the Deep Forest CE has become a little easier and faster, but not as significantly faster as some others. The reason is that the increased rear axle grip that is now available (which was already good before Patch) leads to stronger understeer when accelerating in curves, which means that you can either accelerate later, or lift the pedal again a little around the car to turn again.

As you rightly said... you have to get involved with the car and its behavior and understand when it reacts how and why... then it's very entertaining and also really fast.. possibly one of the fastest there... BUT .. it always remains unstable, which means that the smallest mistake or "nudge" in the race immediately results in a spin.

Another post complaining about the difficulty -__-

I'm actually hoping there is MORE and MORE of challenging stuff. Gold isn't supposed to be obtainable for everyone. That's why it's gold, duh. I would be extremely upset if PD started listening to the ones complaining about the difficulty and decided to dumb down the physics and make everything easier.
Totally agree with your post from March 11th. But unfortunately PD dumbed down the physics with 1.13 ... :grumpy::banghead:

Gold times should absolutely be made achievable by an average player in a mainstream game so long as there's content locked behind it (even if the content is "just" credits, which are still pretty hard to come by if you're not grinding the Tomahawk 24/7).

Nothing's stopping you from setting your own goals with these circuit experiences. Create your own difficulty.

If you just want bragging rights, that's what the leaderboards are for.

Just golded Le Mans.
Did all in one sitting with about 200km driven.

Must say that sector 5 wasn't so hard, much more problems I had yesterday with sector 5 of St. Croix, that is similar with set of full throttle corners.

I don't fully agree to that, the value of gold is a certain standard, only achievable if you are a certain level, as long as you are not at that level, you should practice more then you are doing and get better.
And people that say it isnt doable just need to spend some time finding that extra time in certain sectors.

Put in the work makes you faster

Indeed. I think most of the CE gold difficulties are fine apart from some outliers both ways. Speaking as an average player, some, like Tsukuba and Interlagos, were a bit too easy to the point where it didn't feel like I've learned anything while others, like Tokyo Track Limit Hell, were too strict on a controller to the point where getting gold felt more like luck than actual improvement on my part.

What won't be fine would be if PD starts changing the requirements post release because a tiny minority feel like they're no longer special because they have to share a trophy and tick mark with too many other players.

True, some were to easy and some were more of a challenge, that counts for me too, I have spend alot of time to gold the Nordschleife CE, Le Mans etc, and they were a real pain in the a*s before 1.13, but I managed because i tried it over and over again. and that is how it should be imo...brons easy....silver hard..... Gold very hard
They should have made a difference pre and post update indeed, i consider myself an average drive with some fast step-outs when i put in the time, so the amount of work i have put in gets a little overrulled now indeed,
The last thing for me is to consider myself special because i'm not, but the the gold and platinum is def alot less special now.

I was kind of mad before, but the physics are alot better now so it was for the best :-)
now just scraping of real seconds on the times i had

I always had difficulties with dirt tracks. Not just in GT7. Since GT5.
It's just not for me, I'm always 2 second behind silver. Hell sometimes I follow the triangles and I can't even get bronze, so I just gave up trying to complete sectors and laps.

Dirt + all the Tokyo crap about touching barriers. I hate that.

I think in GT7 that chicane tunnel on Tokyo Expressway is chicanier and deathier that the Dragon Trial one.
