Is there anyway to save the tuning setting on the Miata, between races?

its pretty annoying have to go in and change it all back between every race....

I wonder if this is a glitch to annoy those who know that turning down the LSD lead to less oversteer on corner exit....
It's not a glitch it's just how they do it. In the other races we still have to do the adjustments.

Yes, we all ask why we can't have an online setting sheet. But this is what we have.

Edit:

You don't need to adjust the diff to be fast, it helps but even default just being smooth with the aggressive diff is fast bud

Durn, I was in first place in my 6th Tsukuba race and my controller battery died, thankfully I have 2 controllers. I had to run and get the other on, turn it on and get back in the race. I did better this time and finished 5th.

I can't seem to improve my time though, I'm stuck at 1'04.694.

They walk among us people, I fell for it.

I jsut went from 1:03:8xx to 1:02:9xx with my adjustments....

I went back to stock and found the car even harder to drive.
I don't know. I rented a Mazda Touring car and it works fine to me, I have the brake balance set at -2.

you can adjust the diff setting. If you having issue with on throttle corner exit oversteer it can help.

Tried daily Race C 4 times today. First online races since the last manu cup at the ring.

Watkins Glen is such a great track.

1. Race with the NSX, From 14 to 16. Pitted L2 and the tires were dead after lap 7 💩

2. Race with the Supra, from 12 to 15. Pitted L2 again and the story repeated itself 😂

3. Race with the 4C, from 16 to 9. Pitted L8 but tires were good 👍

4. Race with the Citroen, a car I've never driven before, from 16 to P6. Pitted in L6 and changed tires. Weird car but nice to drive.

Overall I liked the 4C the most. Beautiful car 😍

edit to delete the mod edit. :/
im either crazy or it's a bot.

Edit:

There is a whole lot of discussion that has gone missing. That's fine, moderators moderate and control the vibe and narrative.

A polite heads up, warning or something would be both respectful and polite. Considering nobody was being impolite and just discussing juxta positions.

We all act silly and crazy during the weekend because we spend so much time racing. That's what Gran Turismo is all about. It is the human simulator!! I guess Glen was joking with you. I can't believe PD is bringing back Deep Forest again for the B slot next week. I've seen that like 5 or 6 times within a 6 month period.

Small Improvement at Barcelona using the Audi LMS '19: 1'46.355

@Nebuc72 yeah some of PD's regulations for BoP is dumb sometimes. I guess they keep all the cars HP at the same level so people won't cheat and have an advantage over other drivers.

How do you feel about the people you race with Chris?

Nope. There's no missing posts (posts aren't deleted, just hidden from view; they still appear inline to staff and there are none) and no edited posts. In fact the last moderator action in this thread was 7.07pm on Wednesday.

The only edit to the above is to blur who made the action, and the affected posts, to protect the identity of the poster.

If posts have been removed, or edited, there will usually be a reason sent to the member affected by such action in their notifications, but as there are none...

Are you thinking of a different thread?

sorry my bad I refreshed.

It's all intact. That said it's dinner time now.

Grumpy I made A just for you :) deep forest will be sweaty fun peeps. I expect techno and norm to do well there!

Been too busy to race since the start of the week, but had time to do a few races this morning. Wrong choice! Got punted off at Barcelona, some clown hit me going into the pit at Watkins Glen, which was nice as the previous race another gentleman driver spun me around as we both unghosted exiting the pits. Sigh …

A question as well as the rant.

I’m 3.4 seconds off the fastest time in the world at WG. I’m usually ~3 seconds off. However, this week that time puts me ~11,000th in the world. But that delta normally has me 3-5,000th.

Has the game become much more competitive lately?

Lucked into 1:53.893 QT at WG. Everyone's been so fast the past couple races, I feel like a fraud, but am learning a lot from their lines and braking. 😤

As some of you may know, I've been working my way back up to SR S by just falling to the rear of each race and being careful. Now that I'm back to SR S, I can say that it was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. Drivers in B/S lobbies or MUCH more respectful. I know it isn't always like that, but the difference is like playing a different game. In one instance, I went 2-wide through the first chicane, and we both behaved ourselves. Like I said, MUCH more fun than those B/B lobbies.

Of course my DR got down to B at 28%, but it's already up to 42% after 3 races. And now I get to race in B for a while without getting promoted to A, so I'm looking forward to the game being fun again.
Where is @GrumpyOldMan man....

I did a "thing for you" ;)

I call BS - you didn't do it for me, you just got tired of sandbagging. In all seriousness, though, good for you! It'll be awhile before I get back to A, if ever.
It's been a long journey with this autism and Aspergers syndrome. I was diagnosed at age 3.
That's something I wish I knew about you. This is why communicating via the written (typed) word is so hard. I mean, some of the people here might have only one hand, or something like that, and that fact would definitely change what kind of advice people give.

Same with your syndromes. We don't know how much effect (if any) they have on your ability to improve at this game, so we may make assumptions that are wrong. I'd be curious to know how you feel about it? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to answer here. Or don't answer at all - that's cool to.

Here's the last times we had Deep Forest in Daily Race B:

As you can see, other than the "Reverse" race, we haven't had Deep Forest with Gr.4 cars in 11 months.

I find it amusing how many times I'm wrong about when the last time was that we had any individual race. Of course, I'm old, so my memory isn't very good anyway.

Well I don't think I'm going to try to improve my time at Tsukuba. It's too late. I think 1'04.694 is good enough. It got me some pole times Friday and Saturday which I was pleased about. 1 more day of Watkins Glen. Then it switches to Fuji.

I still don't get how most of the pros get under 1'04.000 there, I tried over and over and still no progress was made. What a bummer!

EDIT: I had some great races at Tsukuba during the late morning period. I finished third in two of them. I'm fixing to take a nap, and I'll get up and finish whatever races I can before they switch into Monday April 8th.

Just brake a faction earlier and smoother. You can always add more brake you can't remove understeer.

Famine gave some very solid advice, use it do a few laps as they are only a minute long.

The top guys feel or hear the oversteer before it's happening. It takes time to get to that level. Focus on smooth laps and then up the pace progressively, focus on a sector or corner and get that good then start to push for lap times.

Yes, Famine is a wonderful teacher and tutor for all of us here on GT Planet. I have learned a lot of useful information the past 2 and a half years thanks to you guys and all the famous Youtuber's, Tidgney, Mistah_MCA, TheKie25, SkullBusters, SuperGT and DoodleAM. Any low-skilled drivers that lack speed and agility definitely needs to come here for guidance and help.

I'm going to bed now, bye!!

I so wish I could do this. When I'm learning or re-learning a track, I almost always take everything too fast. Sometimes it can take me a half hour or more before I get through one lap without restarting!

If it was a real car in real life, I'd be the complete opposite - my one goal would be to not crash. Then I'd learn which corners I can take quicker, etc., still without crashing.

But for some reason, I can't seem to do it in GT7.

And the craziest thing, which almost all of us have experienced, is that when I finally learn where to brake and stuff, I'll often set a time I can't match for awhile, because I'm driving smoothly instead of like I was running from the police.
