everyone else realized error of his nonsense & called him out and all he could say was, "use something else" which i politely responded " thats too easy & you are not good, you just a typical meta driver"
👏🏻👏🏻 Haha, so true. Like you say when these people drive the meta to then be past by an average car most of them don’t like it.

Did some testing tonight, ran Race B & C quali times, and did 5 laps with the Gr4 - WRX & Supra and in the Gr3 - WRX, AMG & Hyundai.
Gr4 times were just my fastest sectors from my fastest laps, where as Gr3 times are my fastest sectors time across the 5 laps.

I don’t what it is but I just can’t find the time in any WRX. Is they like some secret way to do it?
Was very surprised by the Hyundais pace. Like this car and will use it more I think. I set a fast lap in the Hyundai but then the trusty AMG just beat it on the 1st lap.

Check this out.
This dude did not accept my post-race apology. I don't really think I did anything wrong, but wanted to keep the peace.
Feel free to tell me what you think, but I think if you move down off the racing line to block in a braking zone, you're playing with fire.
I see it all the time. People will move right in front of you, when everyone should know it's time for hard braking. :crazy:

***By the way, the SLS can whip the WRX. :D

I don't think you're to blame at all, side by side and he turns into you way before the corner.

Guessing he realized he needs to go defensive but didn't check his mirrors. Depending on whether you would have braked early to let him through, contact would still have happened in the actual turn. That would have been your fault, but this one is on him!

Their fault. They basically drove into you lol.

You did NOTHING wrong. You had no reason to apologise, he went defensive and lost it. Post race I'd have been heaping praise on you for driving a non 4wd car so well.

Mentioned this in some previous posts, I'm only A rated but seemingly quite good in 4wd cars. Its all about late apex's, getting car turned, using the extra grip that 4wd cars have.

You have more grip (in the corners) than you think you have in 4wd cars. So slower entry, wait for it to grip then plant your foot and the car will grip and turn more than

Kireth Kart just uploaded a video of a certain Spanish driver and is basically glorifying him. I suppose it's subjective but if all it takes to be YouTube famous is to be super dirty, I can imagine a lot of kids starting their summer vacation this way so they can be in these videos as well.

His fault 100%. He hit you. You can't just cut across someone when they're there. Wasn't even on a turn. Clown.

I hope you didn't get a penalty for that.

Ugh jeez this is what i mean. The Spanish driver in question is well known for dirty driving, he was in my first race b today and drove as expected. But uploads by creators with titles the one Kireth has done just do my head in........He's even used the drivers name in the title !!

Please advise me....i know clicks and analaytics matter to streamers as its their job but looking at it subjectively it doesn't have have a positive effect, highlighted dirty drivers are still playing the game, haven't been banned. One creator did say they highlighted drivers (like the one in question) as it was to paraphrase him "help to community" .......just be honest and say you need to views/money and i'd be fine with that.

I'm in my 40's and A rated, am i just being bitter and grumpy ?

Yeah I saw a YT vid and some were coasting round the long hairpins and then pinning it but I find I in the Supra i can dab the brake a little and then keep the power round the corner.
Thanks for the splits, can see I’m losing my time in S3 & S4. I know exactly where I’m losing time too, on both them chicanes. The first I’m losing time going up the small hill and the last one Im slowing the car down a bit too much make the awkward left turn.
Might give the Alpha a blast.

The Alfa is SUPER stable over the kerbs

I took the bait and checked out the video. Left a comment which he replied too (and gave me a like) but it was......a bit passive aggressive imo, not sure he even read or understood the point i was making.

Meanwhile on GT Sport

Player count is a bit low, come back to real racing :cool:

It's dirty in GT Sport as well, but at least no crappy penalties to interfere with the races. Pit stop, tire management are still alive. Many different cars on track. 20 player rooms.

Perhaps if we all move back to GT Sport, PD will get the hint! (unlikely)

I went on last night and the player count was LOW. I was in lobbys with C rated drivers (I'm A rated). Race C is is pretty good though, i seen KIe25 said he was tempted to try it, but the lack of views going back to GTS would have maybe made it a bad idea.

It's better now, just a couple A+ but mostly A on atm. A+ to B lobbies are better than the A+ to D I was getting at Daytona last week in GT7 with only 16 players. That race was at 9 AM. Racing at 9 AM in GT7 had rooms down to 12 people :/

I had 4 people in one of my race b's (on gt7) earlier due to......well you know when race won't load for ages, only 4 persevered. Anyone had any less than that after waiting it out ? ......I let the British guy in 2nd win the race.

I had one race in GT7 where my car was the only one moving and did the whole race in auto-drive. Two others stuck around to chat with while I send them screenshots of the race progress (they only had a black screen). The race never finished though, the car just kept going...

I have had races in GT Sport where I was the only one on track after a mass disconnect. I won the race, counted towards my victories, but no DR.

Anyway the grass isn't really greener on the other side. (Well technically it is, lot of green flags in GT Sport :lol:) Dirty hour is in full effect, I pitted in lap 2 to do 8 laps on softs to get away from the mess. No need to brake to T1 when there is a buffer of cars to get you through the corner...

GT Sport/7: The real car bowling simulator.

I rented the old Tom's Castrol Supra. It was fun and kept up with the WRX in race

Edit: autocorrect in Swedish makes your post look like it was written by the Swedish Chef.....

I did try the Tom's Supra and it drives great, but I'm a second behind my times in the Mustang. I might not be driving it to it's real capabilities. I'll try some more laps tomorrow and see if I can improve my times with it.

Anyway, I jump in the Mustang and I did get my time down to a 1:29.9xx. Which is good enough for P6 on the grid. I get an off track penalty on T1 and that's expected honestly. The carnage kicks off at turn 4 when the 4 drivers go off track or get the turn all wrong and I'm in P2. I'm on the inside for turn 5 and I try to brake real early but I lock the brakes and slide towards the outside of the turn. I collect a driver as they hit my the back of my car and they go off. Sorry driver, my bad. Because of the carnage, I'm 3.5 or so seconds behind P1 and settle in for a podium finish. But wait! I'm slowly gaining on P1. By lap 9 I'm right on their rear bumper. I don't force any moves and hope they feel the pressure and make a mistake. Which happens on lap 11 in turn 4. I take the lead and don't look back and finish P1 for my first GT7 Sport win! I'm extremely happy with the win although I did make a driver go off track. Here's hoping to many more wins!

I know right?! Just terrible.

I mean, just look at this shameless example leveraging the dirty driver's name in FULL CAPITAL letters to promote their own content. They even made a thumbnail and everything!

You can watch all this back here >

Clearly completely and entirely his fault... He provoked it AND.. he behaved completely wrong after what I thought was a rather easy HIT. He has closed his brakes to 100% probably before you hit him, but then at the latest. And that's how he fell out completely. He could/should have loosened the brakes a bit and used the engine brake to further stabilize the car.
It may well be that he didn't have YOU on "the screen" (so he didn't expect you and didn't see you) But you can clearly see it wasn't your intention and your exit from the chicane was brilliant. You drove well and shouldn't worry. If I had been the other one, it would have pissed me off too, but after the video at the latest, I would have seen it.

BTW: The M4 can do this also ;D But..... Traction in and out of corners is still a bit of a problem.

All the races I was in yesterday were won by the Alfa, including 3 for me (although admittedly 2 of those were in 4 car races, as you describe!). Not seen less than 4 remainers though.

It's relatively simple, the other cars suit you more...
I liked the Gr4. WRX not particularly either, but since I've had to play with the pad for 2 weeks, I'm forced to rely on 1 car and deal with it as best I can. So the Gr4 WRX is currently my best horse in the stable. I understood how to drive it for myself in such a way that I can get along with it and the problem of the gamepad best. Feeling I'd rather ride the GT-R, but I just can't handle it well enough on the pad. I think you feel the same about another car.

In the Gr3. Vehicles.... I absolutely do not understand how to drive the WRX, especially not with a pad. On the other hand, I have the SUpra quite well under control and I'm a good 1-1.5 seconds faster with it than with the WRX.
BUT the Jaguar is just a lot better to drive, especially for me with the pad... it's such a calm and yet powerful vehicle... a gentle giant I would like to say.. It stays calm when you corner it , with slight understeer.. and then when you want to exit the corner and don't overdo it too much, it goes forward with a devastating vehemence. I really like it....would rather drive the M6 but again it's a bit too brutal..I think it's faster than the Jag..in theory but I just can't get it on the tarmac with these BoP Settings.

Mentioned this in some previous posts, I'm only A rated but seemingly quite good in 4wd cars. Its all about late apex's, getting car turned, using the extra grip that 4wd cars have.

The Alfa is good, just tested it yesterday... I feel it has some significant advantages over the WRX but also disadvantages where the WRX can beat it. In the race with slipstream ectr. I feel the Alfa is minimally superior to the WRX. The WRX is a bit stronger on the fast lap. The WRX has a little less downforce, which makes it faster/more elastic above ~180-190 km/h and that's exactly where it simply pulls off the Alfa. If you then throw it cleanly into the corners, it is superior to the Alfa. But in the race, the WRX suffers more for my feeling when it eg. chasing an Alfa... of course he can stay close and, with a good exit, overtake him on the straight. The Alfa is great in the corners and the WRX loses downforce... so you have to be careful and/or reduce acceleration.

My best time so far with the WRX in qualifying (gamepad + AG),
1.42.4
I don't remember all the sectors, but I remember S1
S1: = 25.9xx

Interesting is...
I tried my M4 with Pad and MT yesterday, which is much more difficult and would require a few more hours of practice..BUT.

I'm in 5 rounds.. one
1:43,291 driven.

However, my optimal time is already 1:42.726 with plenty of room for improvement.

My best sectors already:
S1. = 0.26.053
S2. = 0.18.062
S3. = 0.27.641
S4. = 0.30.970

I feel the S1. it will very definitely be possible to bring it to 0.25.8xx and S2 will definitely be well below 0.18... probably more like 0.17.6xx, the rest will have to be seen then. I'm currently losing a lot of time on the two tight 180-degree corners....

In case anyone wants to see... That was my first race yesterday as a Class A driver.

Not 100% clean, I have to admit, but a bit of elbowing is part of it at the moment, because others probably don't feel sorry either.

Yeah I know what you mean with X car suits me. I like a car that has a good grippy front end and I think this is why I love the AMG. No matter what track I feel confident the front end will point where I want it. The WRX feels too understeery for me.
I used the M6 yesterday and I know what you mean with it been a bit brutal.

What's the deal with the online time trials? Is it more just seeing where you rank in the world/fun, with no rewards or anything? Or was my ranking from Suzuka just too low to earn any reward :)

I honestly don't know. I was 350th or something like that so I honestly think it's just meaningless and we don't get anything from it.

The Le Mans time trial is gr1 as well, which we've had 3 times in the past week in Nations & Gazoo Cup, so that's nice and original too.

Le Mans weekend so I guess they are just maxing out the race.

As for the time trial I don’t see the point in. So it just qualifying minus a race. Prefer them to swap this for an endurance race.
