👏🏻👏🏻 Haha, so true. Like you say when these people drive the meta to then be past by an average car most of them don’t like it.
Did some testing tonight, ran Race B & C quali times, and did 5 laps with the Gr4 - WRX & Supra and in the Gr3 - WRX, AMG & Hyundai.
Gr4 times were just my fastest sectors from my fastest laps, where as Gr3 times are my fastest sectors time across the 5 laps.
I don’t what it is but I just can’t find the time in any WRX. Is they like some secret way to do it?
Was very surprised by the Hyundais pace. Like this car and will use it more I think. I set a fast lap in the Hyundai but then the trusty AMG just beat it on the 1st lap.

It's relatively simple, the other cars suit you more...
I liked the Gr4. WRX not particularly either, but since I've had to play with the pad for 2 weeks, I'm forced to rely on 1 car and deal with it as best I can. So the Gr4 WRX is currently my best horse in the stable. I understood how to drive it for myself in such a way that I can get along with it and the problem of the gamepad best. Feeling I'd rather ride the GT-R, but I just can't handle it well enough on the pad. I think you feel the same about another car.
In the Gr3. Vehicles.... I absolutely do not understand how to drive the WRX, especially not with a pad. On the other hand, I have the SUpra quite well under control and I'm a good 1-1.5 seconds faster with it than with the WRX.
BUT the Jaguar is just a lot better to drive, especially for me with the pad... it's such a calm and yet powerful vehicle... a gentle giant I would like to say.. It stays calm when you corner it , with slight understeer.. and then when you want to exit the corner and don't overdo it too much, it goes forward with a devastating vehemence. I really like it....would rather drive the M6 but again it's a bit too brutal..I think it's faster than the Jag..in theory but I just can't get it on the tarmac with these BoP Settings.
Mentioned this in some previous posts, I'm only A rated but seemingly quite good in 4wd cars. Its all about late apex's, getting car turned, using the extra grip that 4wd cars have.
You have more grip (in the corners) than you think you have in 4wd cars. So slower entry, wait for it to grip then plant your foot and the car will grip and turn more than you maybe expect.
In saying all that, from reading previous posts some cars just suit certain driving styles better........I'm loving the Alfa 155, but no one else seems to like it as much as me.
My sector times in Race B in Alfa 155
1. 26.055
2. 17.983
3. 27.296
4. 30.349
The Alfa is good, just tested it yesterday... I feel it has some significant advantages over the WRX but also disadvantages where the WRX can beat it. In the race with slipstream ectr. I feel the Alfa is minimally superior to the WRX. The WRX is a bit stronger on the fast lap. The WRX has a little less downforce, which makes it faster/more elastic above ~180-190 km/h and that's exactly where it simply pulls off the Alfa. If you then throw it cleanly into the corners, it is superior to the Alfa. But in the race, the WRX suffers more for my feeling when it eg. chasing an Alfa... of course he can stay close and, with a good exit, overtake him on the straight. The Alfa is great in the corners and the WRX loses downforce... so you have to be careful and/or reduce acceleration.
My best time so far with the WRX in qualifying (gamepad + AG),
1.42.4
I don't remember all the sectors, but I remember S1
S1: = 25.9xx
Interesting is...
I tried my M4 with Pad and MT yesterday, which is much more difficult and would require a few more hours of practice..BUT.
I'm in 5 rounds.. one
1:43,291 driven.
However, my optimal time is already 1:42.726 with plenty of room for improvement.
My best sectors already:
S1. = 0.26.053
S2. = 0.18.062
S3. = 0.27.641
S4. = 0.30.970
I feel the S1. it will very definitely be possible to bring it to 0.25.8xx and S2 will definitely be well below 0.18... probably more like 0.17.6xx, the rest will have to be seen then. I'm currently losing a lot of time on the two tight 180-degree corners....
In case anyone wants to see... That was my first race yesterday as a Class A driver.
Not 100% clean, I have to admit, but a bit of elbowing is part of it at the moment, because others probably don't feel sorry either.
