If you still have a DS4 controller, try with ASM and countersteer assist on. That works for me and is pretty much required in order to not wreck on rumble strips.

Side note- this race probably won't be too popular. Through GT Sport and 7 on all accounts I have never rated against someone rated E E.

EE will be someone in practically their first races on that account. After 5 you pop into D.

I don't understand why PD are allergic to adjusting the Gr.4 BoP.

We've had what, 3/4 updates in the past where the Gr.3 BoP not only is reshuffled completely, but has had different tracks provide different BoP calculations. Gr.4 "technically" got that update too, but the setups were always all the same (as is Gr.3 now, but it's a new physics model so I'll excuse it for this month).

It's clearly broken. If either the 155 or GTR doesn't dominate, the WRX fills in the gaps and essentially everything else is just not competitive past a certain level. I really don't know any other company that operates in the way PD do.

The BoP must have been altered at least a little. For my Manufacturers Round qualifying there were 4 RWDs in the top 6 vs only a couple of WRXs. Race was won by a Cayman. That hasn't happened in any of the previous rounds, the AWDs have always been on top. It may be limited to the low-speed tracks though like Laguna.

I hope so, though I think it will be harder to tell with manufacturers as Alfa certainly isn't a popular pick to see where the 155 could dominate, and I don't tend to see many Nissans either.

That said, Subaru is certainly very popular so if they weren't on top again that's a good thing lol.

I gave Race C a try on my second account, which is rated low B/S, to see what it's like. Took the G70, got a half-decent quali time and started on pole. At least there were some different cars, a Cayman, a GT-R, an Atenza, another G70. And the rest Alfas, of course.

I managed to pull away a bit, but only got the gap up to 3 seconds after six laps, when the new damage model struck me in a kind of domino effect. In T1 I slightly touched the grass with my right front wheel. Not a wall, not a barrier, not a car, not a curb: the grass. Suspension damage. The car pulled massively to one side, and got slowed down. It was almost impossible to navigate the next hairpin, braking and steering while simutaneously trying to avoid getting hit by the diving Alfa from P2, and so I slightly touched the wall this time. Massive rear damage (although the tiny impact was with my front end), and bad acceleration added to the damage. So I got hit by P3 in the next right hander, core damage, and my car was basically standing still (not P3 though, who was pulling away). Got overtaken by P4, took the position back after my car was "repaired", and touched the grass again in the next lap, idiot that I am. Before getting the whole déjà-vu, I rage-quit. 😬 Very calmly, of course...

What do you guys think? Is that damage system overblown? Or should it be this way to educate unconsistent drivers like me?

Oh, and I noticed that the damage model in this race is "light". What's it like on "heavy"? Does the car explode if you touch a curb?

This one was fun, from a couple days ago. Had some fun and clean racing laps with "Childe Roland." If you're out there, that was a blast!

I started on RH and pit on lap 5 to get the RMs; he started in the RMs and pit on lap 6 to get the RH. He was a bit ahead when he came out of the pits and it took a couple of laps for me to catch up, but over the next two laps we had some great racing. He was defending well; we went side by side through T10 (the sharp left), T11, & T12 where I ended up on the outside of 12 and eventually had to back off. Next lap I got a good run coming out of T9. Went for a move on the inside of T10... after looking at the replay I was never really next to him enough to claim the inside, but we were so close the front splitter on my car was basically under the rear foil of his car. So, the corner was his. I went frame by frame and looked, and there was never any contact between us. But, this time after he clipped the apex he went just wide enough that with my tire advantage I was able to cut underneath and get the position.

He was an A+ rated driver and drove well. I ended up finishing P2 as at that point P1 was a solid 3.5s up and I wasn't catching him in a lap (or at all)

I took a video from the rear bumper of his car as I was trying to get passed. It's a neat perspective.

Hi Talon!
Im here ;)

Enjoyed so much last weekly races.
Thanks for your sportmanship!

Just had a first couple of races at dt rev, the damage just killed me and I'd like to apologise to anyone inconvenienced by my incompetence. I've smashed up about 30 mazda stealth jobs this afternoon, think I'll hoover instead!!!

Totally overblown!

sorry for my bad english I have a question about the driver ranking (E to A+) Very often I am on call in my job, and so it happens again and again that I have to drop out of a "daily race". Do I lose my "points" like if I finished last. Thanks for an answer and happy racing everyone

Does anyone else ever think they need more than 3 Daily races? There at least always needs to be a GR.2 race. I'd also like to see some mini endurances Daily races. I got into a random lobby doing a 30 lap race of Trial Mountain reverse yesterday. Nearly an hour and it was super fun.

Yeah, my ideal wish is that they enable crossgen on dailies (no idea why they haven't yet tbh), then add a Daily D and E.

Daily D rotates daily, giving a bit more everyday variety, and could replace Daily A as the no SR/DR casual race.

Daily E needs to run every 60/90 minutes and be a long endurance race, preferably with qualifying in the event like how GTWS does it. For example - starting at 6:00 with a 15 minute qualifying and then a 60 minute race, taking you to 7:15 and the next race slot is at 7:30.

That's how I'd do things anyway.

I can't figure out how to drive the Alfa. Can someone please teach me how to get around turn 7 (the second big turn) without totally locking up and swinging left (EVERY TIME!!!) and smacking into that rock wall? It happens to me every single time and I can't figure out how to keep it stable through braking.

For what it's worth, my fastest time so far is in the Citroën of all things. Second is the Jam, third is the Alfa (despite the crazy instability) and fourth the Cayman. I just can't seem to get the 4WD cars to settle around the big turns. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the driver pool is large enough to support more than 3. Last week in race B I was in rooms with A+ to D drivers at times. Every race I started (A+ on PS4 Pro) there were at least 3/4 of room below A rating. So just not enough with the PS4/PS5 split... they need to merge these two universes so we can race against eachother.

I think it's all about straight line braking. It's more important to line the car up right to get on the throttle early than to try keeping more speed through the turn.

On the other hand, sometimes the locking up and sliding can work to your advantage. My fastest lap so far was in the WRX, which at least shows some similar antics as the Alfa on the brake. Twice in one lap I slid unintentionally just into the perfect direction to hammer the throttle early. 1:49:8, which is a miracle lap for my standards; my next best was a 1:50:3.

Light vs heavy damage: light repairs itself over time, heavy makes you pit to repair.

And yes, theres too much damage. I get that hitting a wall or torpedoing a car should give massive damage but being close to a curb or hitting the grass shouldn´t

Excellent choice for race B this week, I’d even say it’s better than the other way, chicane of death is easier imo and will enjoy a week of this one, have the beetle and will most likely stick with it

I noticed last night when using a g29 and DS4 controller ( I’ll sometimes switch in between the two mid race depending how I’m doing or if my body hurts to bad. Terrible seating/pedal position) that when I would get damage it was MUCH more profound with the controller. It would pull like crazy. With the wheel I really only noticed the engine performance. 🍻
