I've gone from DS to CS, back to DS and now back to CS all in a matter of days this week. Is this normal
for Daily races.
Also got thrown in with some BA drivers and got punted quite a bit.
I think if you drive early outside the peak hours of your region, you get drivers from different levels. Last time I tried to race in morning (C/S), I was in a race a couple A drivers, B’s and even two D’s. Half the field had B for SR.

Tried this morning to earn at least one victory in Rallycross...............Got 3 in a row  The first two were uneventful, but the 3rd was something suspenseful

Well, I'm finding some success in Race C this week. Grabbed a couple wins, a few more podiums and usually finding the top 5.

It's been a mostly enjoyable week for racing albeit with a couple of buffoons mixed in.

@Bullwinkle I'd agree with you on usually starting on mediums now. I tried hards first because I found I was almost as quick in the second half of the race on them, but I think that's due to a lower fuel load and perhaps more rubber on the racing line. I'm doing mostly 5/5 now, sometimes 6/4 depending on spacing but that 6th lap in the 911 my left front needs to be babied a bit.

I’ve found cars to be fairly spaced out in the middle laps as people sort out their pit strategies, so I go ahead and stay out for the sixth in clean air. By the time I put and come out on hards I’m back where I should be and have only a couple challenging laps while the hards warm up. By 9 & 10 the mediums are starting to crap out on other cars and I can keep pace with them. I may not overtake anyone but I do t lose place either. I actually got third last night doing this in an A+/A/high B lobby. I’ll run a few more today, but I’m getting a little bored with it.

I’m disappointed by next week’s races. I guess I’ll do the Gr4 tomorrow because at least there’s some semblance of strategy. Anyone know which cars are doing well for that one in the practice lobbies?

Thought I would have one last race for the week, in Race C. I jump into my trusty 911 on mediums, starting 3rd behind a 2nd McLearn 650T on Hards and a leading Subaru 300GT on Mediums. I manage to take 2nd position in the first lap, and keep the pressure up on the leader of the race until the end of lap 6 when we both pitted. We exit with around 2s difference, and the 650T is around 4s behind and catching up.

Things keep going like this until lap 9. Clean racing without an incident. The end of lap 8 the lead pickup a 0.5s penalty, and the 650T gets right behind me, until....well, you can see and judge for yourselves (a quick 45s video)

Managed to salvage a 5th by the end of the race.

Yeah, on paper none of the races next week intrigue me, so I'm probably gonna delve into F1 22 a bit next week.

This one was fun, from a couple days ago. Had some fun and clean racing laps with "Childe Roland." If you're out there, that was a blast!

I started on RH and pit on lap 5 to get the RMs; he started in the RMs and pit on lap 6 to get the RH. He was a bit ahead when he came out of the pits and it took a couple of laps for me to catch up, but over the next two laps we had some great racing. He was defending well; we went side by side through T10 (the sharp left), T11, & T12 where I ended up on the outside of 12 and eventually had to back off. Next lap I got a good run coming out of T9. Went for a move on the inside of T10... after looking at the replay I was never really next to him enough to claim the inside, but we were so close the front splitter on my car was basically under the rear foil of his car. So, the corner was his. I went frame by frame and looked, and there was never any contact between us. But, this time after he clipped the apex he went just wide enough that with my tire advantage I was able to cut underneath and get the position.

He was an A+ rated driver and drove well. I ended up finishing P2 as at that point P1 was a solid 3.5s up and I wasn't catching him in a lap (or at all)

I took a video from the rear bumper of his car as I was trying to get passed. It's a neat perspective.

I hosted some practice lobbys earlier, most folk were in the GTR, some in the G70. Best times were in the mid 1.50's and there is no strategy.

Are the karts drivable with dualsense? Used to hate them in Sport with DS4. Way too sensitive.
If you still have a DS4 controller, try with ASM and countersteer assist on. That works for me and is pretty much required in order to not wreck on rumble strips.

Side note- this race probably won't be too popular. Through GT Sport and 7 on all accounts I have never rated against someone rated E E.

I've been driving karts quite a lot with friends in friendly lobbies and it felt good to me on PS5. Very different from the cars of course, but definitely felt like a nice drive once you get it to grips.

I had a little bit of hope that Race C would provide some variety with the cars parcitipating, being more of a high speed track (that's what I thought). Did some qualifying laps with the G70, looked at the rankings, and yeah: Alfa party all over again. Come on.

I mean, there are dozens of interesting Gr4 cars in the game, and how great would it be to see lots of different cars in the races. But for months now PD lets a car dominate that doesn't even belong into Gr4. How difficult can it be to adjust the BOP a bit? I'm fed up with seeing ten to twelve identical red Alfas in standard livery with even the same number on the doors pushing each other (and me) around the track, in every single race. Sorry for the rant, I'm out.

I try to bring a bit of variety - mine is blue ;)

And Race B is most likely Nissan or Toyota Cup ?
Top times are in the Supra Racing Concept.

I used to like Alfa 155 but seeing it being the meta car in GT7 daylies , i hate it xD

we need a serious Gr.4 bop update , it's either GTR or 155
It looks like a few people are pulling top times in the WRX so I may go with that for a while.

Until I get tired of losing. . .

The Ferrari island viper have been competitive so far. They are much more stable under heavy acceleration than the Alfa 155. Kinda strange being 4wd/MR/FR.

Not done any of the daily races but had a quick test run in some open lobbies last night and Daily C seem quite fun. I was running the Silvia and I was doing some decent race pace in this car on a track I’ve never driven.
I take a look at a few YT steamers and all I saw and was told it’s basically a 155 only race.

Honestly getting bored and tired of these Gr4 races. If your not driving the 155 or GTR it’s pretty pointless doing this race.

Daily B I hated the track layout. I don’t mind Dragon tail but in reverse it bad.

Think I’ll be doing plenty of Daily A this week. GoKarts are tricky cars to handle but I think it will bring some great racing.

Practiced a little myself today. Ferrari may be an outside bet, quite planted for most of the lap.

There is one strategy to be aware of……….don’t let a wall hit you! ;)
I I got suspension damage just running my wheel on the curb along the wall 3 times ....
Meaning I dropped 6 places. Car is almost uncontrollable

Supra yes

I am not very good with kart but I will do it.

I’m only doing the dailies on my alternate account now. Don’t care about results for that one so running anything that takes my fancy. Might bring out the Swift later.
