I'm having a great time (and being competitive with the alfas) in the WRX. Still 4WD which is super helpful for drive out of corners, but you've got to make sure you're not washing wide on throttle and you've really got to be on the brakes correctly, then throttle to rotate through the corners.

I'm not putting in the 2:10:xx times I've seen alfas capable of doing, but a mid 2:11:xx is fine with me
Agree! I am having so much fun and everyone is driving pretty well. The car is stable and everyone know the track. My qualy time is 2.10.2. Able to go dtill down but i prefer enjoy those short but fun races

Managed to get myself suspended from PSN apparently  I said something mean in the chat that Sony won't tell me what it was and nor can I appeal, well at least next weeks Daillies aren't that interesting so I won't be missing too much.

I don't typically go off in chat so it can only be a couple of times when I let my temper get the best of me, a lesson that it's better just to quit out and go have a vape!

I think High Speed Ring was in the first ever set of dailies after launch, it was a tuning race with the Aqua, Demio and Fit.

Certainly not been seen again since then though, which is sad because the manufacturers race there was quite fun.

I know that very well myself, my first suspension was 7 days.... then a little later a second one over 30 days... since then I've been trying to stay cooler and when I notice that it's getting me late, I quit the game and take the dogs out.

BUT I have also found a solution that I find satisfactory for drivers who drive really deeply unfairly. If possible, I write to these players very politely, remain friendly and point out that they are harming other people who only want to spend their precious free time with the game through their behavior and whether the player might not prefer to play sensibly. Sometimes they give in and nice conversations ensue... and the "unteachable".... unfriendly ones usually answer very derogatory. I'm happy about it and report this person... It usually doesn't take long before I get the information that this process has been settled. It can be assumed that the other player then received a ban. For me that means my level of frustration has dropped and the right "pigs" get a lesson or worse.

For you... create a second account and ride with it if you want AND think about doing it differently in the future.

They have a weird secret list of words you can’t use. I had a few races a while back where @sturk0167 was escorting me around in the BMW tuning race. I was still learning the track and I think he knew I was frustrated that week from my comments here, so he coached me a little bit. Anyway, I tried to leave a comment afterwards saying, “Thanks for the escort,” and it didn’t go through. I tried it a few times to no avail.

I think PSN actually thought I was calling him a prostitute, or propositioning him or whatever! I didn’t get banned, but it’s apparently a secret-bad-no-no word. It’s funny how “f u” gets through, but a polite thank you doesn’t. . .

Rank's dropped to B now that I've started driving with a wheel, as expected (SR down to B, too – hope I'll be up to S again soon though), and so the online racing's a lot less fun as a consequence. Loads of being rammed and pushed off the tracks, usually with the other car driving off without suffering a penalty. Had enough of it for this week, will see if I can quench some fun out of next week's races.

What did you you guys ( more or less) to get suspension?

You really shouldn’t do this. Even with the best of intentions, it can come across as harassment and antagonize the situation for all concerned.

I don’t mind some track been repeated but what does annoy me and prob everyone else is the fact PD just stick to x1 fuel & tyres, RH for pretty much 90% of races and the weather!
Ive been involved in some brilliant races in online lobbies where we have tyre & fuel wear mixed in with weather. PD really need to find a solution to the dynamic weather settings in daily races as this would open up a lot of great races.

Someone else on this form had the same experience moving over to a wheel. They lost a lot off DR/SR. My advise would be to keep going as I will take a little time to find that speed back, but also if your worried about your DR etc... make some custom races and just learn to try and beat the AI from the back of the grid.

I've used some choice words several times, so far without being banned. "!diot" and "m@r@n" and other expressions I don't remember any more haven't got me punished so far, but I've stopped writing angry stuff in the chat anyway. Just not worth it.

With the new game coming out today, which Daily Races will you do first? What will they be? What would you like to see done with the dailies in GT7? I can’t wait to see how PP’s shake up the Gr system, and the tuning. Happy GT7 day everyone!! 🍻
I would like to see a holiness to report those drivers that deliberately tap your back end, or just bump you off the side of the track. Then if more than 5 racers in the same match report them, they get relogated..

I'd rather be beaten by a wheel user with an equal car in terms of BOP, than get whooped by a controller user who has a significant better tune.
I'm just sick and tired of racing against an entire pack of Alphas 155 in the GR4 races!! I switched to gr3 because of it and am having a ball.

Evaded punt attempts are always satisfying!

Same guy called me ‘scum’ for 4 races last night. So that’s ok apparently
The past two days I’ve run into a few very aggressive drivers who have been shoving me and ramming me each race. Our quali times are close so of course we keep starting right next to each other.

Last night some guy was being very aggressive with all the drivers in front of me because he was a little slower and didn’t like being passed. He knocked into me a couple times and I finally just quit trying to avoid him and he ran himself into the gravel at turn 5 (I think? The first hairpin) and I went on my way. He was very angry after the race. He was the “f u” comment I got.

I finally had enough this morning and as a guy was trying to knock me out of his way on turn 4 (?) at Catalunya, he cut wide and I didn’t avoid him. Again, this may make me dirty, but if you initiate contact several times from behind and beside, I just quit worrying about it. Anyway, later in the race he was right behind me on the last straight before the hairpin and he was riding me. I changed lanes to let him pass and he swerved to stay behind me, so he was clearly looking to punt me. I was inspired by @NikNakTobasco and his maneuver to avoid the punt, but he was too determined. I swerved, hit the brakes hard to get him past, so he hit the brakes and waited for me to pass. I didn’t. So he waited to catch me at the hairpin and boot me. I stopped. And he stopped. And we sat there staring at each other for a second before he gave up and moved on. Sheesh!!! I hope P6 was worth it.

I am going to preface this with the car is super slow....... but, the RS01 GT3 handles like a dream. I can't tell if it's beacuse it's so slow, or the update really helped it but the car just does what I want it to. Kinda like the McLaren, but better (and slower). Did like 5 quali laps with it and it was about a second slower than the Porsche. It's also really good on tires. Did a 6M/4H in a race and could've easy done a 7M/3H.

All that being said, if you have a second account and are looking for stuff to try out, I'd recommend it.

Transitioning to the wheel can be difficult but it'll pay off in the end. Might I suggest you put in your quali time with your controller to get as high up in the grid as possible? Then, do the driving in the wheel; typically, less shenanigans going on up front.

Evaded punt attempts are always satisfying!

I knew that looked familiar...

Driving in GT7 be like...

I had a race at Willow Springs last week, where I was running a comfortable second place, behind a pretty fast leader. We were quite a ways ahead of the pack, and he was probably gonna win. I couldn't catch him. On the next to last lap, he screwed up and drove into the desert, giving me an easy win.
I felt bad for him, and typed in the post-race chat "Damn. That's rough, dude". The game wouldn't even let me post that message.

Yeah, taking care that nobody gets offended... pretty dangerous nowadays 😜

Stop reversing everything!

So much repetition as well 🫤 We had Dragon Trail in some way, shape or form for the past 3 weeks and I don't even think it's been a month since we raced in Sardegna either...

Kyoto, Sarthe, Goodwood, Le Man's, Deep Forest.. so many to choose from! At least it's not Tokyo streets with penalty galore wall taps 🤐

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee...😆
Unfortunately I slip like butter and steer like a pig. . .

By the way, I answered my own question about tire strategy from the other day. I’m starting on RM and going six laps and switching to RH. When I started on the hards I found that I was getting abused and passed by the quicker guys, and by the time I switched to mediums I was too far back to contend. When they switched to mediums and got slippery by the end of the race it didn’t matter if I could pass one or two, I was still too far back. So for me, for now, the winning strategy seems to be to start on Mediums and drive like hell to keep my spot or advance if I can, and by the time I switch to hards on lap 7 it’s a procession and I’ll pretty much keep my spot.

If anyone us any other insight I’d like to hear it, even if it’ll be a while before we need this strategy again, by the looks of it.

I've learned that the tone makes the music and the way you write something very much determines whether it's received well or as a nuisance. In any case, it helps me, because I'm a very impulsive person and if I don't let my anger out, then I spend hours thinking about such things and that makes my driving worse, I don't have any relaxation and ultimately I don't enjoy the game. However, if I remain polite and the other person does the same... friendships have even developed from it, there were drivers who felt like me, who were frustrated and therefore then drove unfairly.

I find it depends on starting position. Top half, I'll go with RM, bottom half I'll go with RH.

You are correct, i must of missed it somehow. I'll update my original post.
