That d@mn Alfa just drives so well...šŸ˜† a PP correction is overdue, really.
i'm a bit jealous of people who avoided / delayed using the Alfa. its been what, 6 months since the Alfa has been the top Gr4? i remember some weeks with the GTR but I'd say by July I'd had my fill of Alfa Romeo Simulator. wouldn't be a real problem if i could handle driving more than one of the GR3s on TCS0... alas.
And although my evidence is anecdotal, my guess is that a lot fewer people are running the race, because of the number of "A" and "A+" drivers that end up in the same race as me, a lowly "B" with a long way to go to reach "A".
i think you're right, and i'll add my own hypothesis: a fair percentage of the A+ drivers made secondary accounts, mostly high-playing users. i don't have anything against people doing this, but its had the effect of shrinking the A+ pool.

while i believe there are fewer active players today than there were five months ago, i've noticed that those who do play - play nearly every day. i have to think the task of getting to A+ from B is immeasurably more difficult than it would be if every user only had one account. again, i don't have any issue with people doing this, but its clear that the practice has made the rankings process more convoluted. for me, the bigger problem, is only having half-full races at nearly all times of the day.

random daily race gripe: i wish A was like, 3 laps shorter. especially when theres a top 100 time on the grid and youre kind of in a procession. and while i find the car settings updates to be a farce, i think it opens things up a bit... i was able to get the 89 vette under 58 seconds pretty easily, and i suspect theres plenty more

As Daily B seems to be a boring one make Alfa 155 fest, I decided to focus on Daily race A and Daily race C.

Daily Race A, I think I got my best quali time down to a 57.2-3 with both the GR Supra 19' and Viper GTS 02'. So I decided to do one race each. Quite lonely races except for first 1-2 laps. With the GR Supra started P3 in one race, finished P3. Then with the Viper started P4 and finished P3 in the other race.

Daily C I have only done qualifying in so far, since I cannot seem to get down a good enough time, to avoid starting from the back. 1.30.946 is just not fast enough for a high A DR driver. I must have tried like 8 different cars, and with almost every one of them I get comfortably into low 1.31s, but just cannot find any more pace, no matter how hard I try šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø Just not my track I guess? Also I notice all the time in these dailies that hotlapping is not my cup of tea. But the more limited time gtws style 10 min quali always seems to work better for me.šŸ¤”

So far I like the RS01 and GTR the most in daily c. Ferrari felt surprisingly good, but inconsistent though. Might give the Mazda a go as well. Before trying a final quali session with the GTR. And then probably just doing one race, no matter the quali time. And try to work myself up the pack then.
I've been just going for consistent pace rather than worrying about keeping up with the top time, I find focusing on my tire management and fuel savings makes up for being slightly slower....most of the top guys burn through their fuel faster, at least in my races that's what happened....the top qualifiers didn't necessarily stay there

I'll be honest the only races I've won was the daily at the Glen awhile back ...it was race A come to think of it and I won in the Toyota 86.....

I wish in Race C that PD would let you know who you are racing against and your starting position before the race starts. Different lobbies require different strategies, and thereā€™s no way to know which to choose!

I had a great first race this morning in a mostly-A lobby and finished well. I had started P4 on RM for 8 laps and decided to try to start on RH the next race. This time I started P3, but in a lobby full of B/B and C/B drivers?! Of course I got run off the track on lap 1 by idiots and spent the rest of the race scrambling to finish P7. Had I known Iā€™d be in this crazy lobby I would have started on RM and driven like a bat out of hell to get away from the mess! How can two such opposite lobbies happen in back-to-back races?!

One week delayed post. But true.šŸ˜„

It seems that the good days of rammers free are gone. Again.
I scrub from a side, the pit wall at Laguna, get 1.5 sec penalty.

A dirty rammer spuns by himself, lost 3 places, and decided to revenge at the first car in front of him, hit me at full speed, right before corkscrew and got zero penalty.

Before this update, dirty players were only playing 2 or 3 times because they were being punished by their contact racing behavior.
Clean players remained in servers and races were better.

Very well done PD. New dirty players friendly settings, with 1.25 update.

Since I'm here, let me continue.
What are the GT4 FF cars doing in game? No one chose it. They are slow and not competitive at all.
What are the GT3 MR cars doing in game? Almost no one chose it. They are slow and not
competitive at all.

Can't any brilliant mind explore advantages from those cars?
Like less tire wear, better cornering exit, or whatever? So many variations can be added to the game, to avoid having daily races with 99% of one car model and me with a different car, as usual.

And why the occasional players can race with any car in daily races without spending money, and I have to spend it although being a regular one?

I never use a car 2 times, I play in a loop way. I mean, if I have 40 GT3 or GT4 cars, always drive the next car on the last position in garage, therefore, if race is set to drive with medium tires, I have to buy those tires for the cars that don't have it yet.
The occasional noobs/rammers don't!

Being hit for no reason almost every race really keeps the motivation to play in high levels. Right.

P.S.: Sorry for the delay post (one week). I wanted to post here, but I completely forgot.
As usual, it is a personal way to express, how I think the game could be improved.

It does it always shows you your starting spot and the other drivers....

Can someone please explain to me why sometimes at the beginning of a Sport race I have to turn the TCS off, from 3? I always have to check the TCS indicator before the race starts.
Today I was in the Alfa and traction control was at 4!! (I don't know if it was my d-pad playing tricks on me)

You can change your tires while waiting for the race to start... at the time when you can chat with people, go to the car's settings and swap them out.

It's a glitch that happens if you DON'T do any pre-race quali laps. Even if you have a quali time in, if you don't do any laps before any particular race, your TC turns on to level 3.

Never go full red tire. šŸ»
Ya know, it wasn't that bad. I expected the car to just go out of control or something, when all the white went away.
Surprisingly, it wasn't terrible. It was still better than driving on a wet track.
Although, if it were the rear tires that went full red, it would probably be a different story.

Is this really true? I mean, I usually run laps beforehand, but not always. This could explain a lot of things. I'll keep an eye out for it.

EDIT: This is definitely true! Make sure you watch out for it.

No word on next weeks races yet, eh....

Hope for something that interests me. I had a ton of fun last week, but haven't raced this week at all. Just not my flavor

Sometimes I really love Karma and getting revenge.

I had a Race B with 2 drivers crashing me on purpose:

Dude #1: crashes me at the first corner and puts me in the dirt, so I have to proceed in last place. Last lap, I'm still last but I see the same crasher in front of me, ending up in the dirt. I pass him, bye bye.

Dude #2: after dude #1 is out, I come out of the last corner and I see the finish line. 14th place is in front of me. He proceeds slow for some reason, he's ghosted and also has a 0.5 sec penalty. Near the finish line I'm on his left side, he's not ghosted anymore and he tries to put me into the pits (!!!). I slow down after he slightly touches me, he finishes in front of me but the 0.5 second penalty puts him behind me in the race results.
I decide to text him in private to laugh in his face. He starts writing full sentences in spanish with some insults in them, and laughs thinking he finished in front of me.
I let him message me a little bit longer, continues to insult... until I decide to report ALL of his messages to PSN. In a matter of seconds (and I šŸ’© you not), the entire chat gets deleted by Playstation Safety. After 10 minutes I get 4 notifications for the 4 reports I just filed. They took action against him.
So
1/ he ends the race behind me
2/ he definitely gets a lower SR for all the crashing he's been doing during that race
3/ he gets a suspension from psn communication.
4/ I check my own SR after that race and to my surprise it went from A to S.

Just FYI, don't do that.

A single report of a message in a chain of messages will include the messages before and after it, and is all you need to do. "Excessive" use of the report feature is also a censurable action, and you may find your account also gets suspended if you make a habit of it.

I'm not sure about the first part, since sometimes I report one single message and only that one gets deleted from the entire chat. Other times, the entire chat is deleted for one message breaking the rules.
I don't know how PS Safety can find me abusing the report feature since all the reports I file are real and punishable. I imagine a dad finding multiple messages with insults in one of his son's chats would do the same.
I've been doing this for over a year I think, I never had a problem.

But I'll keep that in mind.

had a great time last night handing out justice punts to rammers and people trying to push me off into the grass or pits. One guy got his nose under me in the long left hand sweeper before the final chicane complex and started drifting up the track into me. He'd been dirty the race before, and dirty this race so I held my line.

He kept drifting up and I kept holding the line so he was using me to turn, therefore was turning faster. As soon as his wheels cleared my front bumper I knew it was on. He kept drifting, I kept holding, he used my car to PIT himself, spun into the wall, and finished in the bottom 3. Felt really really good.

The best part? No penalty on my part, no damage to my car, and my SR is still an S

Yeah Iā€™m getting sick of RH all the time. PD need to mix it up.

One of the main reasons I've tapped out of dailies and mainly run custom mp lobbies. Like I'm going to do shortly as soon as I finish this report and leave my desk. I still run them infrequently just not with the "burning desire" I had when I was an E thru B to A driver.

The RH (and scant RM) monotony with no shot of endurance, day/night, or weather changes really shorts what the game has to offer imo.

I hope next week the Glen or even Le Man gets some love....
I don't think Glen will come up. We already had it the past two weeks for the Corvette time trial, and the week before that in Race A.

It's time for some Daytona road course....but knowing PD they'll opt for another unpopular track created by them.

I don't see them putting La Sarthe in any of the three races. Did it ever come up? It's a long track. Doesn't fit A. Doesn't fit B because it would be only 2 laps or so. Maybe C...

I'm just hoping they change it up and surprise us . I can dream right lol šŸ¤£

La Sarthe is too long yeah, twice (about) as long as Spa is. That said, Spa had a 5 lap GR.4 race a couple weeks ago or so, I can see PD trying to do a 3 lap La Sarthe but I'd hate it. You really need that to be close to 10, with tire wear and fuel usage, and I don't see a whole lot of people wanting to invest 30+ minutes for a daily race like that.

What would be really fun, for any class, would be a 10 lapper at High Speed Ring, tire and fuel usage, two compounds. I think that'd be a blast.

GR.4 at Goodwood would also be a blast. Fast and flowing and throwing cars through corners

Just continuing with Daily A for the time being. Mostly using the Viper with some Vette sprinkled in. Tried the '15 Mustang GT and was about 2.5s slower with that than the Viper. Also bought that GT500 or whatever it's call to try, only to realize after buying a bunch of parts you can't get the HP down to the max limit. Sonuva!

Had some decent races; despite there being no DR/SR people have been very clean.

This Viper is going to become my winningest car... if it hasn't already. :D Which, is fine by me because she's dead sexy!
Hey! That's me in the black Viper...does this make me famous?
