So I’ve just joined the American servers so I can race against some of you guys from here. Sounds like you Americans have some good races.

Obviously I have to start in the lower leagues. The driver in the Alpha was all over the place, and when I went to overtake them, every time they drove into me. I wouldn’t say I was dirty or made any dirty moves, but they obviously assumed I was dirty. Anyway the Alpha meet there match in the ghosting system. Tried to shove me off track, there car ghosted and wham into the barriers 🤣

Skip to 4.20 to see the ghosting. The bit before is the few lap battle

Hi everyone, I was until yesterday with my DR A+ (80,000~ +-) and my SR in S, I was involved in accidents in race B, and I was reset to DR A (40,000) and SR in B, it happens right? But now my doubt comes, since yesterday I've been playing and my SR is still stuck in B and my DR is already at the limit of A (49,999), is there a bug in the game after being reset, the SR doesn't go up anymore?

Any solution to this problem?

he drove two laps like you didn't exist and he was entitled to all the racing surface regardless of his corner position, relative car position, and speed differential. Him putting himself into the wall is the least the game could do to punish him.
I'm certain he assumed that the early times you two made contact in your video were you being purposefully bad/dirty. It appears to me to be at worse racing incident and at best you holding your line and him ignoring that you exist.

Glad he got what he got, definitely he did not get nearly enough of what was coming to him.

This is exactly what I do sometimes, or I'll fool them into trying to ram me then hit the brakes or move so that they miss hitting me and instead crash or get a big penalty for the hard contact

Obviously I don't understand much about how individual cars race differently. But here's a spreadsheet I started, and I have questions:

View attachment 1206618

1) How the Suzuki VGT stands a chance, yet it's in the top 100. It's the slowest car in my spreadsheet, and assuming "Rotational G" relates to cornering ability, it sucks at high-speed corners like I would imagine the last corner is(?).

NOTE: I haven't driven all these cars yet. I'm just trying to understand the differences between the numbers, and what I see on the leaderboard.
Well, as the resident Suzuki VGT Gr3 obsessed driver, the acceleration numbers take into account the full rev range and not the intended shift points which are at the 10k rev mark, which help it SIGNIFICANTLY, and this tracks lack of long continous corners is a godsend for this car too, though it does struggle at the two lesmos and parabolica. hell I did manage I win here earlier which dragged me kicking and screaming back in DR B 18457599aa829-screenshotUrl.png

Exactly. It was like im ahead my space. I gave them plenty of space on all corners. Ive just raced them again this time no issue as they went wide and off into the gravel, but I checked there SR and its E. So I guess they are having other incidents in other races too.

They are with BoP H enabled. It turns out they're the same values as BoP M, as far as I can tell.

Thanks. Does it include BoP?
It sure does. It has a lot of information as well, and track maps and lots of other things. Check it out and play around!
About Monza... How many times we had it in dailies? 457? This must be some kind of strange japanese sense of humor or simple trolling
This may be one of the funniest, and perhaps truest, things I’ve read on these forums!!!

The easiest way to get your SR back up is to run at the back of Race C and get a clean race bonus for a few races. You’ll lose some DR in the process, but you’ll get back to SR S and then ultimately your DR will bounce back up as well once the cap is removed.

I just tried the tuned Cayman for Race A, no wonder it's so strong, you can mash the throttle on corner exit and not upset the car at all. I can go at least 0.5s faster in this than my tuned MR2, which I now have at 1:53.7s.

I tried a different combo of parts on the Cayman engine and managed to get peak torque of 301.8 ft-lbs @ 295hp.

Agreed. I don't understand what they tried to achieve here. If they just hadn't made the use of hard tyres mandatory: that would (maybe) leave the choice between a no-stopper on hards with a bit of fuel saving, or a flat-out one-stopper with mediums (or softs?) and a bit of refueling.
The pit stop time is c. 35 seconds for tyres and a dash of fuel, the guy in second was 16 seconds behind me and lifting and coasting like a trooper, with a joypad/auto gears I find that soooo hard to do - I’ve finished 4th starting 3rd because the no stoppers can make it work better than me.

I would love some imagination in the daily races just once, why not some impromptu bad weather something that makes you have to react.. can only hope

This goes without saying for those of you who've driven this course, but do not, DO NOT, DO NOT go into the second turn of the first chicane too fast:

Monza is savage! Everyone just piles into T1 in the hope that they stop in time and if they don’t then aim for the nearest car to stop. One thing I hate about this track is when other drivers squeeze you onto the grass when trying to overtake. Fun race though when you find a good lobby

I thought Monza was going to be a race where I needed to survive the first chicane on lap 1, then there were reasonable odds I'd be able to avoid being binned, t-boned, dive-bombed, pushed, prodded, or otherwise molested.

Boy was I wrong.

It's a total crap-shoot as to whether someone will blindly plow into me, run me off the track, or whatever, on any lap. If I try to be clean and not run into someone ahead who has problems on a turn, if there's anyone within eyeshot of me, it's like there's a sign on my car saying "Ooooh, a clean driver - let's see how we can ruin his race."

At this rate, I'll be back to a C in a day or two, and I was actually closer to an A than a C when this week started. Maybe it's time to break out my other player.

Who's that clown in P1?

Good 'racing' with you, man. That first race we were in the same lobby... oh lawd. Let me just say I've been playing hockey for over 25 years and I've never been hit more than I was in that race.

So what if I told ya'll the McLaren F1 is pretty decent here? Ok so hear me out. It is actually pretty quick (~167 down the main straight before the braking point) and drives really well! Its only issue is the same issue I had with the Lambo at TM last week... that tight chicane. The stupid MR physics in this game are such that the slower you go the more likely the car is to just spin out. If you go too fast you blow the chicane; if you go too slow the car wants to just spin for no reason. But, if you can go through a the "right" speed through the first chicane (sometimes I upshift into 2nd and give it a little throttle as it seems to settle the rear end down), the rest of the lap is no problemo.

I was having a lot of fun with this car and had some really good races (and wins) on the #2 account (which is high B rated).

This was a fun little battle with the Subaru driver (Turbozi420). I had a decent lead going into lap four but got a little loose through the first chicane due to the aforementioned issue and lost it all. He got a run and we went side-by-side through the second chicane, giving each other room. Everything was clean and he got the pass done... fair play. Thankfully for me, at that same chicane on the last lap he made an error and I got a run through Lesmos 1. I was able to get next to him and made the pass through Lesmos 2. Again, very clean.

I will be using it again for sure.

I'm actually really enjoying race C this week! Have had some great battles with different cars (WRX, Alfa, Silvia, Lambo, Lancer). Had an epic battle for the win with my friend in the Silvia, I ran the Alfa (with some short shifting to save fuel) - the cars are fast in different parts of the track, and it made for some great overtakes! I might try a few more different cars this week and see how I go. Any suggestions? Maybe the F-Type or Vantage....what are they like on fuel?

I've actually gone from C to B at Monza this week. SR rating staying S so that's cool. I can't quite be fast enough to qualy higher than say 6-7th or so.
What I'm doing is pulling to the pit lane side headed into T1, braking at the 150 marker which drops me to about 9th or so, and then dodging the bowling balls as they come in because I'm already slow and into the turn when they arrive on the outside. Then making up 3-4 spots in the carnage and finishing somewhere in the top 5 as long as I don't exceed track limits.
Maybe this works for you?

What car are you running this week? I went Supra because I'm lame and basic. I'm slightly faster on a good lap with the Merc but on average the Supra is more controlled so I'm defaulting to that unless I feel spicy

Give the Cayman a try. It was great on fuel and handled great.

You need in increase your SR -

"A low SR score can limit the DR Class, and even reset the DR score to predefined values (7000 pts if SR dive below 5, 20,000 pts below 15 and 50,000 pts below 30. "

Race B may become totally random....

Yesterday ....

Race 1: started 5th, survived T1, at the Ascari I saw a guy taking out P7, P6, and me. I eventually ended up in the rails and took me more than 30s to rejoin. Finished P-last

Race 2: started 4th, P1 P2 and P3 got heated at T1 and send each other out. I exited 1st and and keep the lead until the end, even though the P2 guy was faster them me, he just lost about 5s in the T1 chaos

I'm a middle C driver, I do errors: valutation errors, too-optimistic errors, "not being able to do with the car what I'd like to do" errors. Here and there I fully miss the braking reference, but this is hopefully happens very few times, mostly when there are too much cars and cannot spot it. I try to avoid this when I'm running online and prefer to keep off when 3-4 cars are fighting just before me.

But the frequency of crashes like the one I had in Race 1 is very high, so I guess other people is not so keen to keep off...
Also I cannot understand how can people think to overtake at lesmo, without huge errors in front of them. I really get frustrated when I see guys trying at lesmo2 and send people out...

Have you tried the Ford GT Race Car mate? I’m really liking it around here.

Someone in chat said good call on the no pit stop strategy, so I type back with “pit too slow” and I got a warning from PD for using abusive language. No sure what abusive language pd I’ve used there but….. yeah.
You called out PD for their slow pit stops. Surprised they didn't ban you.

Nice to see Jim Clark back on the track.

Man Race B, Monza is known for carnage but man, worse than i remember the last few times there. Guys are just bombing in from anywhere into T1 especially and the clowns at T2 that think 1mm of overlap is enough..... nope, my corner chief.

After a lot of trial and error, I found that the Cayman at race A can go as high as 303.3 lb ft of torque, while maintaining the max hp of 295. I don't believe it's possible to get it any higher. It takes a very specific combination of tuning parts.
That, plus proper gearing is your best bet for getting a speed advantage.
If anyone cares, I'd be glad to share the formula. 👍

Who's that clown in P1?
LOL. Good racing with you. Were you driving the Mustang? I can't remember where I saw a leader driving it, but it's my favorite care on this track now.

That's an interesting strategy. I kind of had that strategy forced on me, this morning. I started out P3, and immediately got knocked to P14. I kept racing, since I wasn't that far from the front, time-wise, and ended up P2. So I may try that strategy intentionally.
What car are you running this week? I went Supra because I'm lame and basic. I'm slightly faster on a good lap with the Merc but on average the Supra is more controlled so I'm defaulting to that unless I feel spicy
I'm getting my best times in the Mustang, believe it or not. I prefer the quicker braking of the Supra, but like I said, my best times are with the Mustang. It's kind of funny at the start, because I usually pass at least one car before we even get to T1.
I've actually gone from C to B at Monza this week.
Using my second player, I'm seeing my C rating increase, and it could possibly get to B before the week is out. Time will tell. My primary player had its SR drop from S to B, so that's the end of using it this week.

For the first time this week I tried two B races, and in both I received enough penalties to make me go from S to A. All because of corner #1. Trapped in the pack. Classic. Guess I'll stick to race A now.
I miss last week's Autopolis.
