36? Share the tune chief! And no i don't have an engine I can swap in.

Driving these things is interesting as I am a real "stop HARD, pivot, point and fire on the gas" type of guy so it's interesting on rubbish rubber how much sliding, gentle sliding, is needed as it's more important to keep your foot in it than it is to take traditional lines.
Another shoutout to @Tidgney ! I used the tuning he shared and got down to a 1:38:2. In the top 200 when I looked lastly. Still some potential to improve. No engine swap. It was just a matter of patiently finding better lines and braking points from lap to lap (and not to freak out every time I went lawnmowing 😜)

But I also have an engine swapped Mini to try another tuning. Which is the one you are referring too, @Nebuc72 ?🍻

Important to note I don't actually really know what I'm doing and just put things in places based on what I've seen and what feels relatively nice. Some things on there could be blatantly slowing me down, I would have no idea.

Was that you I was racing with last night?! It was awesome to see you flying past then into the airfield then flying past again! I’ll have to try that tune and see if I can make it work.

Daily Race B has been... interesting. There's been a lot of contact and aggressive driving, but very little of it has been dirty (depending on your definition), at least around me. In my races, if I race well, I generally get rewarded. And if I make mistakes, I definitely get penalized, with the crowd passing me like I'm standing still on a busy NYC sidewalk.

I'm certainly tired of using the Alfa so much, except that on this track it's really fun because you can do a lot of "drifting" and sliding, without losing total control. The track has a lot of quirks, and a lot of places you can gain or lose significant amounts of time, at least at my low B level.

The one time someone hit me from behind and almost cost me the race, he apologized afterwards, so that was cool. Just don't expect a lot of courteous driving, which is OK if everyone's doing it, and the contact doesn't knock you off the track.

We'll see how I feel about it as the week goes by.

Thanks to the advice/pep talk provided by @hollowkatt, I have achieved a time of 3:21.250! So yeah, I'm beyond thrilled to get a time like that. I put my trust in the downforce of the car and it made a world of difference. Having the car "stick" in the corners feels great. I still need to clean up my lines as I'm still getting a few off-track penalties, but not as many as yesterday. I have the confidence now to try at least a race or two. Thanks again for the advice and good luck out there!

No, actually not. I haven't done an actual race yet. Would be a pleasure to meet you on track, but I'm on the european servers.

The weekly race guide :)! I get called a bad player 👀

thanks a lot once again for your video! for race a, is it possible to have two different set ups available? I am asking because if you install the bore up, stroke up etc in the car then how you can create an additional set up to experiment what is suitable without these installations? thanks for your answer in advance!

Wasn't my tune but infernofox's I just share what I use :D. Infernofox is a legend for the effort put in and sharing them!

You would need 2 seperate cars I think?

Well, actually it's brilliant.

I've applied this and drove maybe ten laps. It's not only quick, but the car feels super stable and easy to handle, even for a nervous wreck like me 😜. I'm missing around 10 bhp because I had to lower the power a bit due to my car having the widebody kit, but still I'm on a 1:36:9 now, which was N°86 in the global rankings momentarily when I finished. 🥳

Does anybody know how to get rid of the widebody? New bodywork doesn't work out, wasted 60.000 credits on it, but it didn't change back to the normal bodywork.

I'm not sure how to get rid of the widebody but it seems to be faster for me with it on. I have no idea how a few people are so much faster still.

I went my own way with a tune and only managed to yield 132HP so well down on the 160+ tunes out there. Still managed a 1.39.3 in qualy so racing at the front but will try the higher powered tunes and see how I go tonight.

It's weird racing though, momentum is so important that any little mistake or battle and the guy in front is uncatchable so there's not much actual RACING so to speak. Still, thi sis a fun car on a fun track even if i absolutely horrible at T1.

So after a mission to drive fast but avoid any and all battles on track I managed to get my SR back to S for 1 race. Next race I was having a good battle with a friend when they had their nose just on the outside of my rear heading into the right turn before Tertre Rouge. Problem was I was still jumpy from a lag spike where they had been beside me and dropped suddenly behind so didn't notice and ended up slightly wide, wiping us both out. :dunce:

Back to SR A and this time I've only got myself to blame for it. 2 races followed with a grand total of a 1 second penalty and a 0.5 second penalty, 1 each race. Still SR A. The last race had an epic battle for half a lap though and it was wildly fun. SR ain't everything.

So loaded up the primary tune folks are using at 165ish HP, dropped my QT to 1.37.8 so about 1.5 seconds faster than my own effort. it is, TBH, less pleasurable to drive as I had to remove the racing brakes so couple that with a higher top end, yikes it makes corners joyless but the time is the time.

Sick of this game if I’m honest. Full of dirty drivers and a dev team that don’t do anything to fix issues. Started 3 race B’s in pole today, came 12th on all of them due to dirty drivers punting me off track. All I’ve gained is less DR. Where’s the incentive to play?

Time to buy a PC and move over to ACC. Think I’m just about done.

Ten more laps at Goodwood, again thanks to @Nebuc72 for the brilliant tuning. Watching the replays of the top2 drivers (1:31? what the hell🤯?) i noticed that they use very long gears and upshift early out of the corners. So I set the max. velocity to 240 and tried again. I never even get to 5th gear that way, but shaved off another 1.2 seconds, 1:35:7 and N°29 in the global rankings momentarily. I'm honestly surprised.

Holy WHAT!

Well, I know what I'm doing..

Glad you like the tune though. I'm mostly surprised it's worked!
