We're not allowed to post names and bad-mouth people here. I've gotten on the bad side of the moderators too many times recently (for other reasons) to risk getting in trouble over this moron.
How do you report someone for their chat messages?
Glad I found that out here. I'll go at it verbally with anyone who opens their mouth to me, doesn't matter if it's online players, moderators, people in real life, etc. However, if I'm in the wrong, I'll be the first to admit it too, and if I ram you by accident, I'll pull over until you're back on track and ahead of me, even if it ruins my race.
I also changed my usual online screen name to a closer match to the game's AI drivers. People who know me in real life will figure out quickly who I am, others won't. I did that to make the leaderboard in offline races look smoother, in online, though, it seems to be a neutral screen name that no one hates. Yet, lol.
Just ran some QT laps for Daily Race B, and my initial impression is that this course is a blast! I'm not very familiar with Asace in either direction, so I have no preconceived expectations (aren't all expectations preconceived? Whatever...) Some fun altitude variations, which makes some of the turns quite challenging. It looks like there's lots of places to pass, although we're all going to hate Barry-R and his penalties, that's for sure.
Tried a handful of cars, but right now I like the Lancer Evolution Final. I was hoping the Citroen might work on this track, which would be fun, but it seems to slide a lot. The Beetle might be interesting too, we'll see.
Let us hear your impressions!
The braking zones on Alsace are wrong. It's best run with assists off.
I like this race A. Short, sweet and mostly sideways. The grid start also helps make up for my useless qualification pace. Just wish more people would buy the car and have some variety in the liveries.
I like showing off a custom livery on an expensive car, it's kinda like bragging I own a 18 million glob of polygons and you don't! 🤪
I had far too much fun at Bathurst last week, here are my highlights:
This weeks dailies aren't doing much for me, I tried a couple of race C's this morning but hated everything about it, the input smoothing on controller dulls the cars so much they're nowhere near as enjoyable to drive as on the old game, the tyres wear so much you can't really push and even if you could the dirty air means you can't get close enough to make a move on anybody at a similar level.
If you saw the Loctite Zexel GT-R yesterday at Bathurst, it may have been me. My last race I started with RH tires and pitted after lap 1. This gave me open road on RM tires for most of the race. Up to the halfway mark I was trailing badly, then everyone began to pit. I passed a few there, too, and challenged 4th and 5th place directly. One spun in the '84 Skyline, I t boned the ghost, and I saw him rage quit in the rearview at 88 miles per hour. I knew some of the drivers weren't going to pit at all, so as long as I stayed with 1 minute of them I was good. 3rd didn't pit, so that's where I wound up for the first time since Le Mans.
I noticed TONS of people rage quitting. Until recently I didn't know this affected both DR and SR. I realized even though I was getting hammered at the outset, if I stayed in the race, I'd get credit for beating everyone who quit. We might start with a full grid and wind up with three left... 1st and 2nd waiting patiently while I straggled up like Herbie with the wagon wheel on him! If we ever run Volkswagens at Grand Valley, I will do my best to pass someone on a tunnel roof.
