Phew, this was tough: 😅

Your move... 🍻

Covering the inside is good but moving under braking especially in T1 is not good defending :( however i'm shocked at the ghosting. These never happened to me in a race. You avoided 6 crashes thanks to that.

being on pole will be crucial at T1
I like how you gently moved that purple car out of the way, I enjoy a little door banging myself and getting the position

With the game crashing yesterday it put me from B/S to a D/S rating, good things in a way. As can have a chance at some wins/poles etc. 1st race at Bathurst managed a Win. Even though the game was freezing for a second nearly every lap. Few wall penalty's but just about managed a Win. 2nd place guy managed to catch me but a late dive after the chase didn't work. 2nd race no freezes but too many mistakes from me but managed a 3rd. Really enjoying Bathurst using the Aston Martin but I've seen a few new players with no ratings quit less than halfway through 😂

Perfect, thanks. Of course, I'm too busy getting my butt kicked at WG right now to look at it. Man I hate it when I make really bad decisions!

I will say that the one thing I looked at, where you had someone coming up on your right at the bus stop - you handled that way better than I did in a similar situation an hour or two ago. Me? I panicked, took a horrible line, braked to late, and by the time the dust settled and I served my 1 second penalty, I went from 4th to 12th. That was NOT fun.

Took my first ever win at Mount Panaroma yesterday. It's another circuit that I've always sucked at, but as it's been Gr3 I've been putting in tons of practice in my favourite car (Corvette) and took my best time from 2.05 down to 2.02. The first lap didn't go too well - hit a wall and got the 1.5 second penalty, which put me down to 7th. pitted on lap 4 for mediums and jumped a couple in the pits then another couple went off, and I overtook the leader who was on hards on lap 9.

It was back to reality in the next race, started 7th, finished 4th - with the leader 45 seconds ahead! He was also driving a Corvette, but doing 2.00/2.01 laps all the time. I watched his race in the replay and could see where I lose all the time - mostly braking at Skyline, and then through the chase chicane.

Also had some good races on Race A - and also got beaten by my stepson three times in a row. At least he gave me a friendly 'toot' on the way past.

What's going to be the car to use for Autopolis next week? I'll need to buy one and make a custom livery for it.
I like the SC430 with TC0. It's a fun beast to tame. Just had a good BOP GR.2 custom race at Autopolis. I think the advantages are #1 torque and low speed rotational g, plus #5 hp/weight. We'll see what the leaderboards have to say on Monday.

BoP loves any GT-R. There are 2 Gr.2 GT-Rs. GT-R will therefore be meta.

Me, I like the Lexus RC F.
Don’t think the CLK will be able to keep up in the bends but it looks so damn good I may use it anyway.

I'll give it a rent and see what it can do Monday.

Ok, I have tons of driving experience with one of the GT-Rs from Sport. I did use the Lexus for a few races in Sport as well. Should be a good combo no matter what car I use.

What kinda lap times were being put in? Just curious what others are getting. I did a quick session of like 20 laps qualifying/race. I think I got all the custom lobby settings the same as in the daily. I managed a low 1.36.xxx ? What say you?

Shoutout to the German in this clip. I know I went a bit wide into the turn but I was not expecting to be passed, certainly not cleanly (as they love to stick a nose in on the tightest sector just to try and force your mistakes) so credit to the driver, great pass.

I was quickly searching for reasons to be angry about it but had to accept it in the end

I'm trying really hard to get the A+ rank, in daily race b i won around 15 races in a row. I saw a guy with A+ rank with 11 wins. How is it possible? My only guess is profile transfer from gt sport
No idea about profile transfers, but I've seen something very similar and very suss with one of PSN 'friends'.
Earlier last year someone I've had on friends list for years, went from low DR B B rank to a A/S rank a pixel away from A+ in just over a week with very few races and suspiciously high amounts of wins and fastest laps, that don't seem to add up....then just stopped.

It's possible because you can get more DR from second places if you happen to race the right people. It's all about how the DR is give and take between the participants in race.

Eh, it depends on the races. Especially tuned ones, I managed to almost double my win count at the recent Goodwood daily simply because I had the best tune in almost every lobby and just sped away from the field where usually, especially in BoP races I'm mid-pack.

I don't believe there's any outright way to cheat the system besides taking advantage of things like that.

Yep, it's highly likely that's how that happened, and as RacingGrandpa notes above, it's not always about winnings, it depends so much on the ratings of the other drivers in your lobby how much DR you get for your results.

Again, I think there are explanations for all of these kinds of things, I don't believe there's any cheats to be used.

You could get to A+ with zero wins. You just need to beat enough A/A+ drivers to lift your DR. 2nds/3rds etc… are good enough for that.
yes i know that. but getting A+ with 20 wins seemed impossible for me. I won 20 races in a row in daily race B in 2 days still not getting A+. usually the lobby was A/S and A+/S for the top 5 guys. rest is B/S and lower. so it really depends on the lobby you are in? if you are lucky you can move to A+ quickly. The entire online ratings' process depends on luck if you are a good driver.

I've had that happen so many times, I can't even count. There's even been times when I started putting together a video to post here to get people's opinions, only to realize as I looked at the video more closely, it was clean and I'm just being a poor sport. :boggled:

The number of wins is irrelevant. As long as you increase your DR, with or without a win, eventually it will get high enough to achieve any DR, even A+.

The formula for the calculations is given a couple pages ago:
But you do. The further ahead they are of you in terms of raw DR points, the less you lose, but you do lose points to them unless the difference is enormous.

For every car you finish in front of you gain:

80 - ((Player DR - Rival DR))/500)DR

For every car you finish behind, you lose:
80 + ((Player DR - Rival DR))/500)DR

As you can see, unless the difference is in excess of 39,500pt, you'll lose at least one point.
If you beat people who are equal to you, you’ll advance slower than if you beat an entire lobby of people who are better than you. Likewise, when you beat lower ranked drivers you’ll advance slower, and possibly even lose points.

The wins you mentioned in your examples seem to indicate that the drivers are beating all high ranked A and A+ drivers and advanced quickly. It’s also possible that they are alternate accounts for already accomplished drivers.

I thought it was 15 wins in a row?
