PD seems to have stepped away from every race being on the hardest compound. There's not a RH or anything alike to even be seen next week!

RM seems to be more and more common on Race B too instead of RH. It's very appreciated.

I seem to recall the same thing happened a few months into the GT Sport cycle, too.

I hate reverse tracks. Every single one of them. Autopolis it will be.

But, but...
They're fictional tracks which are designed to be played in either direction. Nothing wrong with disliking them, but it's nothing to do with some kind of against-nature thing.

Last race for today. No wins, but a couple of seconds. Looking good in @Mercia's suit livery! And I'm a B/S, halfway to an A. Got a good trend going. :)

I was in this race with you. I had a serious ADD moment (got distracted by one of my kids) and spun the car before the bus stop. Went from 6th to 12th. Oh well. It was a fun race otherwise. Papa's House of Games finished 3rd and I had his stream of the race going in the background.

Given how awkward some of the turn entries are in reverse, I would question whether they were designed to be run like that. At a guess I think PD would have us running Spa in reverse if it wasn't a licensing issue.

But just my opinion.

I got used to Deep Forest reverse last week or whenever it was, but I'd still rather run it 'properly'.

I think PD got all the data it needs on the RHs from their Guinea pigs, and now they’re collecting data on the RMs. No, I’m not joking either. Hopefully this will lead to a decent BoP adjustment at some point.

I personally like the reverse tracks, for the sake of variety. I wouldn't even reject the idea of driving some of the real life tracks in reverse (not the Nordschleife, of course😆). I mean, it's a video game after all.

I've tried it in reverse and it's a whole new world.

You think you know it like the back of your hand and then reverse throws a major spanner in the works. Still flows great, but half the time I was wondering exactly which part of the circuit I was on, which is a good thing of course.

For what it offers, I'd have thought PD's offering a reverse version would be a no-brainer. It's like getting the 'Ring all over again.

Talk about the ultimate low-hanging fruit for minimal effort on PD's part...

Make them available for people to drive in Time Trial or custom races? sure, why not.

Use them for Sport mode or GTWS events? No, I would disagree with it. Again, they're not designed to be raced in reverse, it's not set up to encourage racing.

You don't see real life series saying hey we're going to run Bathurst in reverse this year, for the sake of variety.

And I would prefer if we err on the side of realistic when it comes to setting up races and tournaments that offer progression points etc.

But just another opinion.

Alsace sucks either way round and is a disappointing choice for B next week.

I'm understanding DR points better and better as we go along. But I just had a race where I started P4 and ended P6, and lost DR points. Compare that to a race yesterday where I started P13, finished P10, and gained about the same number of DR points. I'm sure if I looked at it closely enough I'd understand the reasons for the difference, but it just doesn't "feel right", if you know what I mean.

Of course, the fact I drove like a drunk chimpanzee probably has something to do with my feelings about this race. I mean, "How dare you pass me - I'm a chimpanzee, can't you see how amazing I am?" But I was a perfect gentleman gentlechimp and took it like a man. Pretty good for a chump chimp, right?

(I must have woken up on the crazy side of the bed this morning. But that couldn't be, because she was still in bed! OK, I'm completely losing it. And don't you dare tell her I said that.)

And I would prefer if we err on the side of realistic when it comes to setting up races and tournaments that offer progression points etc.
Personally, I don't mind reverse tracks, because I like the variety. Of course, if we're talking variety, I'd rather they use more of the courses we already have in the game, than just reversing courses we've seen plenty of times.

However, I have never raced professionally - the closest I've ever come is taking my old RX7 FD to 140+ when going across country, so lack of realism is less important to me.

Thanks again for the livery, by the way. When I see it in the post-race scene, something about it just seems so "oddly satisfying".

I could agree to that.

If I had anything to decide about it, which of course I have not. 😇

So this might be a dumb question, but is there a visual indicator of the temperature of your tyres when you've just come out of the pits or at the start of the race? I distinctly remember a GT game having the tyres indicating as blue when they are cold and then warming upto green, before eventually turning yellow then red..

It seems like a super obvious thing that i cant seem to figure out..

There isn't, it would be useful though!

Looked very dapper, my friend. Glad you enjoyed it.

Well yes there is the rub, PD will PD, whether I disagree or not.

If most people enjoy it then fair enough, I will bow to the majority, it's just how I feel on the subject.

We don't all like all elements of the game after all, some people didn't like this weeks dailies and so haven't raced! Which is amazing to me, as I feel it's possibly the strongest week we have had since launch.

There is an indicator for cold tyres, but the temperature of your tyres coming out of the pits for the first time isn't actually cold enough for it to show on the tyre display.

I've only had it show up in gameplay during a night race in the wet - you can see the front tyres have a blue outline.

Seems a bit wasted how it is, would be far more useful to have it have a higher threshold so that its clearer when you have low tyre temperatures.

You could run RaceDash on iPad, it's got a bunch of telemetry data including tyre temps.

Don't have much experience with the app but it worked fine when I tried it, might be better options out there too. GT7 broadcasts a ton of telemetry data on the LAN it's connected to, you could run a motion rig, tactile shakers etc. based on it.

Just had a fun race with @Bullwinkle at WG. He finished P2, someone else P3, and I was P4. For almost all of the race, the three of us were spaced really close together. I backed off near the end of the last lap, because no one was close behind and I've been known to catch a tire in the grass, but even within that, we all finished within a second of each other.

And yes, @Bullwinkle, I saw how squirrelly the TT handled in spots. You did a great job to maintain control. And you never lost your position, even with someone almost literally stuck on your bumper, so that was pretty cool. When I have someone tailing me like tht for as long as he did, I will inevitably hork something up.

Fun race!

I remember seeing blue front tires on the straights at SSRX. I would make sense to see new tires be blue at other tracks. 🤔

Jesus today was hard... Won't lie, drove just over 250 miles today just to gain a few tenths at Watkins Glen 😅

Was consistently lapping at the low 152:9s but took me a while to improve. Then I hit 2 sub-1:52:7s in a row 🤣

@Leon Kowalski - over to you 🤪 Still nowhere as close to the aliens, including @Nebuc72 🤣 Respect!

Oh dear. There goes my saturday evening...🤣

How was my defending? Legal?

Video description has time stamps for key action
0:00 Start
0:46 Bus stop passes
2:01 Defending 3rd place
3:07 Attacking 3rd place
3:33 Defending 1st place
3:52 Defending 1st place
4:07 T1 losing control
4:30 Defending 1st place
5:25 Defending 1st place

6:04 Defending at T1

Started 5th and minding my own business ended up in 1st quickly. Then I was defending 1st place for my life haha

Watkens Glen has really grown on me. Really enjoy the racing here. I thought I would be doing Race A all week, but the racing on WG is just better.

Finally got a win 🏆

Covering the inside is good but moving under braking especially in T1 is not good defending :( however i'm shocked at the ghosting. These never happened to me in a race. You avoided 6 crashes thanks to that.

I just did a couple of test laps for next week's race B (Gr.3 at Alsace Village reverse).
It will be very messy, and an SR killer for sure.
I predict some nasty post-race chats.:mad::mad:
being on pole will be crucial at T1

Finally got that Bathurst win with the Lancer! Started on Pole with Hards, scampered up the road by about 3 seconds or so, pitted end of Lap 3 for Mediums, came out in 5th, passed 4th out of Forrest's Elbow, passed 3rd when they pitted, then passed 1st and 2nd when they pitted and finished about 30 seconds up the road from 2nd when the dust was dusted.

Tons of fun, still setting race times in the low 2:04 high 2:03. Will be sad when the race rotates. We moved our kiddo up to the living room for the next month because we're doing remodeling so the only racing time I can steal is during the day when I don't have anything else going on.

@GrumpyOldMan updated video description with key action sequences
Link to the video:

@maetorn you are right, the move at 6:04 while defending was not good. It wasn't intentional though, I turned in too early for the apex and tried to correct it. Wasn't trying to block the other car.
