Heres my 180sx tune. For those that dont have the sileghty. Im p42 atm, so should be quite competetive with the meta.
If you need more stable car, raise braking diff to 30.

Short shift when there is like 25mm / 1 inch shown on the rew light bar.

It's super dependant on the wheel, stronger wheels need lower values and weaker wheels need them higher.

I have the Thrustmaster TGT-2 and use 4/1.
I'm not an expert, but I thinks it's actually the opposed. As far as I know budget wheel (like my G29) needs lower values, more pro-wheels can accept higher values.
This is because of the actual power the wheel can give back.
Setting higher values in budget wheel results in a lot of clipping (the game gives back a instant value to the wheel, which is dependent on the max torque and on the instant game situation, if the wheel can handle it then it gives you it, otherwise gives you its max. Therefore having high values on budget wheel is like having a digital - all or nothing - feedback).
My G29 is set to 3

This is also why you want max sensitivity on your budget wheel, while you may accept lower values on pro-wheels
My G29 is set to 10

What's wrong with the downhill hairpin? I actually do well there and it is where I tend to overtake people. The turn I'm not so keen on is the slow left hander after the brow of the hill where you turn into in-field. Not sure what turn that is, but grip to turn in is challenging at least.
Personally I’ve no big issues navigating it even though it’s kinda awkward. The problem, and I saw that coming before I even tried the race, is that way too many struggle going through there without contact. It’s very tight, it’s downhill (you have to break earlier than many think), the Mono also has kinda weak brakes. Add all that together.

Thanks for sharing your tune. Can I ask you what aero parts are you using? Since the 'PP" vary a bit between them.

Thanks in advance

Taking a little sabbatical on GT7 since I platted it so I’m tearing it up in gt sport finishing that one. Although deep forest gr4 is sooo tempting, maybe the weekend

I used all the aero front, side and rear. And wide body. Didnt install roll gage.
Also used the low speed turbo kit.
No ballast needed if done correctly.

Is that spec-A or spec-B?

I still haven't managed to come up with a tune that I actually like to drive. I can pretty much hit 600PP, 345hp and 330+ft-lb torque but finding mechanical grip is the challenge. So, I may as well burn a few more credits and try your tune.

Thanks for your input 👍🏻
Ive definitely found lower is better tonight on the torque. Made a few cars way more easier to drive.
Still can’t drive the 4wd on Daily B 🤣

I think it was b spec. Bigger carbon front and rear carbon with diffuser.
High wing. Not sure if these affect the PP or not?

tuner races wouldn't be so bad if the "best car" wasn't locked behind the used dealer and the "best engine" is a roulette swap. Like the very least PD could have done as others said was ensure that all potential cars for the daily were available to purchase. Obvs it's different for BOP races, don't need to own one for those just rent it. But for "bring your own tune" races all eligible cars should be available for all users at all times that the daily is running.

Secondly ban engine swaps from daily tuners. They're blatantly unfair and lock being competitive behind either glitch abuse or just plain luck. Frankly ban anything from daily tuners that can't be purchased from the used lot, dealer, and upgrade shop. If it takes a roulette ticket to own it's banned from dailies.
I kinda see that, but there's a bit of luck involved in real life racing also.
Who knows, honestly.

I'm also in the maximum rake/no front downforce club, and I just got my best lap of 2:11.4...low 2:11 possible with this current setup, I need to figure something out with the suspension. I'm also running merely the height-adjustable one, because I'm on the limit with PP
I was tuning in a lot of rake for a while, but too much is counterproductive because it seems to contribute to the back end lifting and skidding. The DMC-12 is one of the cars I had to rake to be competitive. I engine swapped it, tuned it, and can win 800 PP events with it. Most of the others that I had raked I wound up leveling out again, but not flat. There's roughly 1cm of rake still.
The fact that the fastest tunes all have 100mm of rake to be fast makes me seriously question the reality of the physics in the game..

I have an s13, and ive also had to run seized coilovers on the rear for a week whilst my others werw rebuilt which resulted in crazy rake and the car was truly awful to drive.. I dont understand how the racing simulator has physics thats results in this.

Edit* pIc for proof

Most of my tunes suffer when I try that much rake.
Man I know that feeling... and I still get it after running over 400 races. I've lost a few because of it.
My first time leading was at Le Mans in the Group 1 race. I was sitting on the pole, lost control in the Dunlop chicane, and dropped out.

Sure, but like luck in IRL racing is down to "did my thing break", "did I get an opening to pass because the guy ahead made a mistake", "did I catch a caution at the right time for a free pit stop".

it's literally never "did I randomly get the right car in a lottery"

Sitting out this week, couldn't be bothered with race C tuning shenanigans and I don't drive Gr. 4. Too bad.

Said the same thing but used Digit's tune and went into one race and got a really fun round of racing. Sylvia is a blast to throw around Suzuka except had to turn the engine noise to -4.0 because my eardrums couldn't handle the turbo.

Wheel users? Can I ask what your Steering Force Feedback is in the game settings?

I’ve been using 8 & 8 for a while and then I dropped it to 7 & 7 which felt better So stuck with that for a while. Last night I happen to find a clip on YT about wheel clipping etc… which then start me to investigate what are the best FF settings for GT7. After reading a few sites and comments etc… the conclusion seems to be that people have the settings on about FF Max Torque on 4/5 and FF Sensitivity anywhere from 2-7. After a bit of trial and error I’ve settled on 4 & 10.

Pros - so far the car handles so much better into corners. Example of thwas Nurburgring GP. The other week in daily races that Final chicane you have to basically launch the car of the right curb and bollard, but i always found the rear would want to spin. After the new FF settings I can launch the car now over that curb and the car is way more settled. I’m wondering if the my settings were too high and I was always fighting the wheel and this unstabled the car?

Negatives - the FF feels weak but I’m sure I will get use to that over a few days. And also my times seem a little slower but I feel like Im a bit more consistent.
As far as I can tell, clipping is a product of force feedback exceeding the abilities of the wheel, so lower the setting to where you are comfortable and get decent feedback. Sensitivity, I think, are a how responsive the wheel is to your input. I’ve never quite understood it, but your point about the curb has got me thinking now. I’ve always had sensitivity at 10 because I want more responsiveness, but now I’m wondering if it’s too sensitive and responds to every little twitch I make, and that’s why I can’t do the chicane at NGO the past couple of weeks.

I usually run at 2/2, believe it or not. My arms were just getting too tired fighting the wheel at higher settings. It feels really strange at first, but then it's fine. I used 2 or 3 on both my old G29 and my new Logitech Pro.

But now that I think about it, I may up the settings for a few runs at Deep Forest, just to get that thrill. We'll see.

I think getting hired by a team with a particular car involves a bit of luck. Having a chance to buy certain cars involves luck in real life, too, let alone a car with an engine you'd never expect it to have.
Race C shouldn't offer an unfair advantage to that car, though. If anything maybe it should allow some crazy swap that's more of a liability like the DeLorean in a group of rear engine cars or the Ford in a group of roadsters. HP, weight, and other restrictions should apply evenly. Then the defining factors would be things like weight distribution, suspension, and a torque curve flatter than the state of Kansas.
Another solution would be to offer the specified cars as loaners. They might do it on a per race basis or loan them out for that week and allow players to buy non S parts and tune them. Engines for loaner cars would be borrowed for the race or the week, not purchased, and depending on the car, you might have two or more engines to choose from.
If you play enough, you'll come across online races where hard to get stuff makes all the difference. I don't have it all yet myself. I missed the bonanza, have never had invites from Bugatti or Aston Martin, can't hold a CE, Human Comedy Race, or license test to save my life, and am still competitive in the geezer class races. If there's a one make Martin race, I won't be in it unless my luck changes like it did for the Veyron road car.

I’m still waiting for the Sil80 to become available in the UCD
pls Kaz I need my fix of endurance racing but I want it in a competitive car (I found a tune for the S15 but it’s complete garbo)

Think I’m done with the online dailies until the penalty system gets sorted. Got bumped down to SR B because I kept getting punted off and receiving track limit penalties, and have no hope of improving SR B because the races are so dirty. Shame as I was really enjoying it up until a couple of weeks ago, but it’s just too frustrating now.

This week´s C without tuning allowed would be glorious.
Im with you on the street cars in race C. The best week I remember was the Road Atlanta debut with Mazda Roadsters.
Totally agree, I raced the hell out of that Miata on that combo. Lets say the same cars equalized via the BOP on Sports Hards or Confort Softs with a higher tire wear that makes you pit once it would have been so much better.

This has got to be my best week so far, I'm really pleased with my performance across all three races. Top 20 in Daily A, around 200th~ in Daily B (working on this one) and a top 10 in Daily C.

Must've had been the porridge Monday morning.
Similar for me, of course on a much lower level. Just fallen out of the Top 100 in race A, 1.500 in race B with the Alfa (tomorrow I'll attack the 1.000 with the WRX), and also just been pushed out the Top 100 in race C.

Seems like I'm still learning. But I don't like porridge, which might be a mistake 😆.

Sounds like you’re having the same problem as me at that chicane. As soon as the car makes contact with the ground again when you bounce over the chicane the rear just snaps and goes round on you. Lowering the torque for me made a big difference. I wonder if I was adding too much steering inputs to counter act the excessive FFB for my wheel.
Likewise I never really understood those settings either, I just moved them both to a setting I liked. But now I understand them and how my wheel was clipping. I’ve found tonight I was driving a lot better and way more consistent.

This is the official wording from the GT7 manual.
Steering Force Feedback
・Force Feedback Max. Torque
Adjust the maximum torque. This is an example of force feedback, which communicates information about the road surface to the driver through their tires. The greater this value, the duller the response from the tires when cornering hard. The lower this value, the more responsive the car becomes.

・Force Feedback Sensitivity
Adjust the resistance of the steering wheel when you start to turn it. This resistance is an example of force feedback, which communicates information about the road surface to the driver through their tires. The greater this value, the more responsive to changes the steering wheel will become. The lower this value, the more gentle steering becomes when driving in a straight line.

Did some Race B tonight and was pretty hectic. So didn’t help that I was in the Aston as I can’t stand dive the WRX round here very well, but people were trying to win races in the corner! I know the first lap is always the best time to make places up, but the people divebombing from 3 seconds back into T1. After lap 1 the race even itself out and some good race but still had people sending it on every corner. These short daily b races just brings out the bad in people I think. Last time I had a really good fun daily b was the Gr3s at Trail Mountain.

The problem with T1 is that your braking point depends on your starting position, so it is hard to judge and easy to miss. I have to confess to overshooting and crashing into someone else a couple of times.
But too many people don't even try to do a clean race and simply ram into you whatever the situation.

Finally got a win at Deep Forest.

I started P2, and I appreciate P1 tanking it on the first turn. Also, the people behind me were more intent on messing with each other than catching me, which they certainly could have because my time wasn't that great. With all that said, a victory is sweet no matter how it was delivered.

One of the helicopters scared the **** out of me, though. It happens every once in a while when I least expect it.

Sort of like hitting the turbo boost, giving me a shot of adrenaline. :scared:

I always judge it based on the cars in front of me. I slow enough to give them room to brake, without me running into them. Once I see what's what, I can accelerate if I need to. Sometimes the people behind me get a little stinky, but they're not sure how much to brake either, and they see me slowing down so they usually do too. I rarely have any issues staying in front of them (in 11 races this week, so it's still a small sample size).

the yellow pick-up on the left at the top of the hill at turn 6-7 always gives me a scare.. 🤣 🤣
