Did another Race B, started Pole, got creamed. Finished P5. Mustang started behind me, and he gave me a little bump so he didn't have to pass me on T1. That was nice. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there.
I chalk everything up to my bad driving. But I gotta tell you, give these people a sliver of an opening, and they go for it. I'm not complaining at all - I was the slow guy out front holding everyone else up, there's only 4 laps,
and people have places to be!
The winner was in a Alfa 155, believe it or not. I don't believe it was a great time, though, because in spite of how much I stunk up the place, I only finished a few seconds behind (OK, maybe 5 seconds).
I'm either going to have to learn the 'Stang, or figure out how not to suck so much. Probably both.
Yes! The slipstream makes the corners hard, but I’m also getting clobbered! Every single race I’m getting aggressive contact or outright dirty play. Yes, it may be partly because of the dirty air, but it always happens to be after I make a good move to pass, so I’m not convinced they’re innocent mistakes. I found myself revenge-bumping last night and had to quit just to save me from myself!
I thought the discussion of "dirty air" was only for Grand Valley, not Trial Mountain. Am I wrong? I didn't pay much attention to it, honestly.
Don't forget about your brake balance gamers, a notch or two to the front does wonders in stabilising the MR cars.
Just to double-check - you can't adjust brake balance in Daily Race B, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure that's right, but if I'm missing something, I'd sure like to know!
My eyes, brain and fingers don't always get along.
You know those hook-and-ladder fire trucks - where they have an additional driver to steer the rear end? I feel like each body part you mentioned has their own driver, and none of them communicate with each other. Someone should yell at me "You'll put your eye out!"
