I mean have you watched a NASCAR road race lately? or an IMSA race? how about WEC? V8 Supercars? I mean I get it. In open wheel racing (except you know Sprint Cars, Midgets, Dirt, Indycar) so basically the F1 and F1 ladder series rubbing is bad and wrong.Rubbin' on an oval is one thing, on regular tracks it's just cheating and dirty. It's Trial Mountain, no excuse for not making a clean pass, it has the best corner in the game for passing.
But like literally every other series on the planet all the way down to Brazilian Stock Car Racing contact is a fairly regular thing through corners, straights, whatever.
Only egregious contact is punished, the rest of the time it's literally accepted as "part of the package" and is only notable when it's really really bad.
