A (very) little bit of Race B yesterday
Race 1:
started 7, climbed into 4 until this happened
It's turn1 and I'm the pink one.
Maybe I went too early on the brakes, maybe all of the other guys decided to dive at the same time, the fact is that the two white-red cars were behind me in the straight.
Lucky me they were both very honest in their lines, but not the Ford and the other car in the back.
All in all I entered the turn 4th, exited 5th with the 3 cars on the outside crashing one into the other.
My race ended up 8th (I did a costly mistake later on), but with a clean race badge, which I value more that the position itself in this specific race.
Race 2:
....
....
....
quitted after 8 mins of race intro splash screen
That's it, probable I spend more time in setting up the rig, launch the game and waiting, than in driving
Aside from this, question for you....
imagine exiting turn 1 with another car on your side. Overall perfomance is quite the same (so this other guy is lapping about the same time of yours).
What's your approach to Turn2 and Turn3-4, having as main objective to avoid risks?
Here is mine, open for discussion and insights depending on the different scenarios
I'm on the inside, half car in front: keep the inside and the position, be prepared for a bump in the rear between T3 and T4
I'm on the inside, cars are aligned: keep the inside and the position, back out before T3 if he is not backing out at T2
I'm on the inside, half car behind: keep the inside and the position aiming for a very outside line to backout? Backout before T2? Not sure how to handle given the fact that he will have in inside in the next turn.
