I don't understand why the payouts are so low on Sport Mode. You can't grind it in a way it's "cheese", you can't fix the races, each daily takes 20-30 minutes. 15k?
I'd rather play almost exclusively in Sport mode and for that we should be able to make a decent return similiar to the same time spent against relevant challenge level in single player.

I can enjoy some events and the driving experience from time to time but mostly I'm not interested in chasing AI bots around for hours on end.

The supposed 'bump' in payouts is borderline not noticeable.

I second this. Its fine occasionally, but nothing beats online multiplayer

Bought the 911 RSR. Wow. So much fun to drive, really enjoying this compared to the 650S loaner I've been using. Time to come up with an awful livery because I own the car!

Been coming up some much faster people in Daily Race B now that I'm in the RSR. Just jumped into Spa and someone in first is a whole 10 seconds faster than my fastest. Wow.

Biggest financial rewards on the most technically and mentally demanding part of the whole game? That would make too much sense.

I guess the real prize is 'entertainment'.

I really have a deep hatred for this penalty system.

Three races in a row at Deep Forest Raceway where someone either brake checks me going into turn 3, or someone squeezes me into the wall inside the tunnel & IM THE ONE THAT GETS THE PENALTY

Literally every ****** time. I've flat out quit 3 races in a row because of how bad this is. It's an absolute joke

You outbrake yourself into T1 & give someone the lightest tap by accident, & then slow down to let them get past...doesn't matter 2 second penalty

Got punted into a wall by someone else? Well you get the penalty while they get off completely free.

This game is a disgrace right now

Did Nations tonight, was absolutely disgusting, it felt like the crew at PD pulling the levers and switches set the penalty slider to "extreme" tonight while rubbing their hands together like evil Bond villains. I got penalized for getting sandwiched by rammers then the good ol Pit Maneuver, which I ended getting stacked so it was a nice ten seconds. I could only laugh at the disbelief. Something in the water tonight for sure.

Has been for a while I believe. Was certainly present last week in Race B and A. This week Race B do for sure.
Oh really? I thought my steering wheel was tripping out. I lost acceleration after someone ran into me during the last lap in Race B putting me into a wall.
Car would not accel and I ended up coming in last 😥. Race B has horrible for me this week, so many people not respecting lines, plenty of dive bombing, Brake checking, it’s ridiculous. Plus the penalties, I have never served so many in all my time.

I’ll wait until next week to return.

It shouldn't be the same due to the waiting times. However it should be like roughly 400-500K per hour (3 daily race a or b and 2 daily race c), no clean race bonus added. So with full clean race bonus 600-750K.

They should change this, this is why there is low incentive for me to do the daily races, since I want to buy expensive Legendary cars. Also because I feel like others put so much more time into qualifying than me, either that or maybe I am a bit weak at hotlapping as well (compared to similar rated drivers). That never makes it easy for the race. Also dailies get repetitive to me very quick, 20-30 in a week, is a lot for me. 8-15 was what I did usually in GTS, sometimes 3-5 in a week.

I had this quali struggle in GTS most of the time, except for Daily Race A, sports cars are my strength. Yet when I did the FIA races in GTS, they were much easier even in manufacturer series, one shot qualifying or 2-3 lap qualifying at the last FIA races really awarded us consistent but not super fast drivers like me (comparing to other high DR A drivers), plus tuning on gave an advantage to me at times, cos I bothered to research on the internet for 10-15 min 😁

I still race plenty in the GTWS races. Why? A point board makes it so much more interesting, you need to be more tactical and consistent in your racecraft, you cannot bin it that much, if you want to do well in the championship standings. Feels more realistic and a lot more rewarding when you get it right.

Plus atm it is like 1-2 races per day I do in GTWS, the incentive is the point leaderboard based on race results and therefore a broad competition in racing. Instead of dailies - a hotlap leaderboard and just 11-19 other drivers to race against. Racing to me is the races, not qualifyings. And with how the game is setup, just a good result after hours of practice with low rewards is not interesting at all (dailies).

So GTWS has been very nice to see and a lot of races in test season 2 🏁 Also doing some league racing at some point, starting soon actually, with tuning on.

I guess I am rather quality than quantity type of driver in terms of sport mode, and I want variety to keep it interesting. And sorry for a really long post, wanted to get it all out 😎

I just got a brand new PS5, so I finally decided to buy PS+, and of course the first thing I did was try out a GT7 daily race.

Granted, it was just the Corollas, but pretty proud of WINNING my first Sport daily race!!!

Guess I've just been lucky with race B this week. I've had a few accidents happen in front of me (mostly people faster than me getting on the gas too soon) and there has been the odd bout of fisticuffs down the back, but those around me have mostly played nice.

Did my customary two races earlier and picked up a 5th and a 6th.

I will say that Saturday and Sunday could be good for dailies, no plans for noon-evening. Got all the Legends I want, thanks to PD being generous in 1.11 update 🤝 And 4M+ still on game account, possible to get 17M more from circuit exp, when I put the time into it.

Spa is an awesome track, the GOAT. May try daily c once fuel saving, once all out at least, and maybe a few other tries. Deep Forest daily b is a bit weird with racing cars (more suited for sports cars imo), but whatever, maybe giving it a go or two. Suzuka East daily a if I want to maybe go for a win or podium, well stats from GTS say it was my strongest track alongside Goodwood. Plus a Corolla driver irl myself, although it is a 2004 Corolla Hatchback 1.6 I drive 😎

I’m B/S rated but the last 2 daily races I’ve done they have put me into A/S lobbies, I’m literally the only B driver. Does that mean I could be close to being A rated?

While I don't expect Sport mode to be the main thing they're working on right now, I did expect the proposed increase in payouts for it to be more than a few pennies. It needed to be at least doubled, ideally closer to what you mention here but I would have been okay with doubling for the time being.

Even those putting time in qualy like you mention, it isn't rewarded with credits, it's not classed as part of your daily mileage, then you can run an average race after putting in all that time and end up with less than 10K for your efforts. Most people aren't out there winning races at A+, and even that is way underpaid.

We can debate game balance and it can be tweaked for the next few years and that's fine, but at the moment it's so unfair as to feel almost pointless when your race is completed.

I would definitely say that there's a certain amount of grinding of single player that should be required to access the more super expensive of the road cars and iconic vehicles etc. but Sport mode should allow players with an online focus to earn the cars to compete there without having to take a week off work to do so.

Finally won a race on GT7, on about the 30th attempt. Improved my quali time on Race B to a 26.6 and that put me 2nd on the grid twice in a row. First time I couldn't get past P1, I was using the McLaren compared to the leader in the Volkswagen VGT and the straight line deficit was too much for me to overcome. Second race though, the leader went off on lap 1 defending into the final hairpin, after that I just brought it home.

Thoroughly enjoying the racing online, no matter what my finishing position is!

The way they’re throwing money at you in single player now it’s hard to get too worked up about low daily race payouts
True. But remember it is temporary one time money circuit exp and driving missions. Other than that, new 3 world circuit races are what, 1,4-1,5M/hour? (haven't done the exact math yet). Still okay and decent, nothing crazy. But I don't mind, I can grind on some weeks. But not every week. But still, I heard all gold at track exp is 47,6M, 8x1,2 for endurance is 9,6M. So yeah 57-60M one time money, not available before 1.11. That is crazy, unless you are a car collector 😅 Then 60M is easily spent.

I totally feel ya. My A/S races are mostly clean but occasionally I do see some desperate person dashing around into spaces that aren't there, usually claiming a victim in the process. It's a shame (in the case of Race A & B) that you have to significantly compromise your entire race if you decide to drive cautiously around those lunatics. There's just not enough time to recover the ground!

GTWS has been very promising for me also, but unfortunately my night working schedule means it's literally 50/50 whether my night off falls on one of the days

Although my Daily Race experience feels like it's a bit more consistent that yours, I do agree that payouts are making it pointless in the regard of progression. I remember first seeing prize amounts for the online races back on PS3 (I wasn't online at the time) and thinking 'I need to get me some of that!'. Shame this is the current state.

The way they’re throwing money at you in single player now it’s hard to get too worked up about low daily race payouts
While I agree with you to an extent, I believe in the current state, single player and Sport Mode exist in such separate spaces it's hard to feel any connection to your achievements in either mode.

Sure, I want to feel the thrill of driving lots of fabulous & iconic cars (especially with a good setup), but I also want the chance to compete, properly, with those cars. Not just grind in order to have enough credits to play the part of the game I find the most rewarding.

Now don't get me wrong, the single player content is as good as it has been in previous games and I'm loving it. I just think the payouts should reflect the amount of technical and mental robustness required to participate in the online environment.

Can I say also, that upping the rewards for Dailies/GTWS wouldn't impinge at all on those who are dedicated to Single Player....

Believe me, any penalty system is better than no penalty system. Without the penalty system, the game was disgrace...

Completely agreed.

Now really hope for two more updates.
One, PD set some penalties to the dive bomb pushing overtakers idiots (lateral contact). It is so ridiculous.
Two, PD allow us (clean drivers) to have a report function! You know, even if it is a preventive feature.

I’m not sure if it’s a legitimate move, technically I guess it’s fine; but the amount of people that scream down the inside of the hairpin, straight line brake and then literally come to a stop past the apex and then go again is really annoying.

As long as the punter getting always more time penalty, all is well.
being kicked out of the track cost often WAY more time than the punters penalty.I don‘t really care if he gets a penalty but i do care if some idiot action destroys my race ;)
