You miss the apex by a mile
Funny you mention that. Last week, after running 3 weeks straight on Mount Panorama with my controller in GTSports, I decided to get my wheel out of the closet. I immediately realize I could do turn in sharper than the controller. It was really apparent on the fast corner on the top of the mountain where I always do a small lift off to give more grip to front and be on the safe side. I could do them flat out with the wheel and correct the trajectory easily. (of course the correction is easier with a wheel.)I guess that's it.
I messaged Doodle, who's at #3 currently.
In the replay, I see that he smokes the hell out of his left front tire under acceleration at turn 3.
I asked him what's going on there. He said he's just over powering, and understeering.
I've already done hundreds of laps there, this week, and it can't be done with my controller.
So, clearly there's some kind of steering difference in GT7 between wheels and controllers.
Apparently, controllers can't turn the front tires quite as sharply as wheels can.
I think I've uncovered something.![]()
My point is, the controller have a lot of smoothness added to it. Also quite visible when watching the hands and steering wheel in cockpit view. With the controller, hands dont really move fast, with the wheel the hands match what's going on with my physical wheel
