so is the prudent move just to bite the bullet and buy the atenza? Wish You could see more than the top 10 to see what other cars are competitive
You can try the veyron if you can get that awful music out of your head. I can’t see a mazeratti on the street without thinking of that stupid rally music race ffs

C/S Lobby 12/15 Atenzas
I did three races where I was either the only non atenza or one of two. I got to do some battling which was fun but it grew tiring. My first race in the wrx defaulted to wet tires for some reason so I finished 30 seconds off the lead. I think I’ll just buy the atenza and do the race.

Won a C (B|S) with the Evo. This is a good car, guys. Almost beat my quali time with it in the pre-race quali going in cold. Was very consistently in the 1:30s which is good for me.

I'm not a fan of the WRX, I can't quite get the performance out of it in qualifying and am stuck at a 1:29.3...
In the race I seem to be a lot more competitive as I usually gain a lot of places... Last race I was stuck in the first few laps so could not get a quick lap in that time, but after that I was consistently lapping around 1:30.0 to 1:30.2...

I also started to test other Group 3 cars in time trial.
Did 5 laps each and noted the times down. But it's a long process... So only got the first 16 cars done.
Not sure if I'll continue it for this race, as it's Saturday already and I guess a BoP update will come on Monday

By the way, after doing this, it's stupid that the time trial does not count towards the daily reward

Hoping for some more drivers track next week like a St Croix B or Nordschleife 2 lap (fuel & tire wear) although with the distinct European feel this week, will probably end up with a Oval race

Also a tuning race open to high performace cars again, got a tuned 911 GT3 (997) 09 ready for a challenge

Is there a way to do time trial in world circuits with BoP on?

Try the Nissan. It’s quite good. And the Beetle and Evo as well. The best time in the world is now on the Renault btw and the RCZ is top 3. So maybe try those as well.

Also, that BMW M3 is so awful. And why two BMW M6? Aren’t they the same car?

Mazda has made me three seconds quicker. The bop numbers don’t even make sense. Like they shouldn’t even be passing the eye test in terms of horsepower and weight.

What is it with so many people who have crazy qualifying times, but are so slow in the races?
Makes me wonder whether someone else ran their quali for them.
Often qualifying in the META but racing in other cars. Or the classic situation was that they nailed the 1 lap out of 20 they didn't get a penalty, but can't continue like that in race situations. Also, tire wear, tire temperatures and fuel weight are applied in the race but not qualifying. Fail to adjust to this as well as nerves when having to actually race other cars and people can lose a lot of speed. Hotlapping doesn't always translate to pure pace and race craft.

I know 1 driver I race all the time that I out qualify 19 times out of 20, but it's a struggle to match their race pace most of the time and need that buffer to beat them on the chances I can. Race pace is the best pace in longer races.

So true. Race pace is far more important than 1 lap pace. It's all well and good to nail a lap in qualifying, but if you can't do this consistently then you are going to be run down by those that can.

Thats me in Race C this week. Couldn’t get close to my qualy time. I was a liability on track so had to give it a miss this week. I think it’s the fuel and tyre wear messing me up.

I've struggled with RBR this week as well and I'm generally decent there on Sport and F1, lack of pace especially over 12 laps has just made it feel like a chore I've had to take a pass on. In the WRX it felt so skittish to me I genuinely thought I had a flat.

Awesome job on the chart 👍🏻
Interesting to see how your lap times compare to my lap times.
So I own the AM V12 Vantage, AMG and the BMW M6E (Endurance) cars and the quickest car for me is the AMG & slowest is the M6E. Yet your M6E time is one of the quickest.

The timed laps that I know I’ve done are at RBR and Deep Forest.
Deep Forest. - AMG and AM V12 did about the same lap time, M6E was 2 seconds slower.
RBR - AMG set the quickest lap for my qualifying time (1.31), followed by AM V12 half a second off. And again the M6E was more than a second slower.

Either Im doing sometime wrong with M6E or just shows that with BOP (excluding the META cars) it is quite an even field and all comes down to car experience and which car you can extract the speed from.

Ran a single race C yesterday after I came home from photographing the Milky way so rather late on a Friday night
Was expecting carnage but it was mostly clean.
I run the McLaren and got 2 qualifying laps in -almost- before the race. Was at the finishing line a second faster than my normal Q, but the matchmaking started a fraction of a second before I passed it.
Not the WRX race I expected, 4 Z4 in the race and they where fast. I got in between two that had been battling for a few laps and the one behind just dives me in T4, bumped me off.line, I rescued my car but lost a little speed. Happy to say the penalty system was working as intended he got 3 seconds.
Anyway I moved up 5 spots in the race, the Z4's are gaining on me from the starting line to and through T2, from T3 to the finish I pull away .
Going to sign with McLaren next round.

I don't think it's possible in world circuits, but you could open up a lobby with BoP on and try it there.
I was not sure about the M6 as they are labeled "Endurance" and "Sprint". I just wanted to make sure and tried both. But felt very similar. Maybe they are different on fuel? No idea.

Yeah sometimes it's just up to personal preference with the handling of the cars. What's good for one person may not be good for another. And some of the cars are very twitchy.
Some cars also have some weird characteristics when it comes to maximizing their speed. E.g. in some cars short shifting is faster.
If that was the case for some here I may not have spotted that.

@Bojador I was questioning the M6 Endurance and Sprint when buying one. When I looked at then stats I couldn’t see any difference. BHP, Weight, Torque etc.. were all the same. I can only assume the endurance has a bigger fuel tank, and maybe different fuel maps to adjust for longer races?

@timekiller001 This is were the META are cars are killing the daily races. When I race with a mix of BOP cars I have so fun in the races as it so mixed up. When it you vs the meta cars I always start towards the back of the race and can never catch up.
I don’t like the gearbox on the M6 and I think that’s were im losing time. AMV12 I think is a very good all rounder, very stable. AMG for me is quick but can be a bit snappy on the rear.

Well I'm up a tier after all those top 5 finishes at Monza in the GT-R so now I'm starting 13th

Oh well if I run a few battles to not be last I should be back soon.

Beating the gr3 op car is my favourite thing to do today, in this case its the subaru wrx at red bull ring...

2 wins
2 seconds
3 thirds

1 win in the audi r8 (the haven't seen another being used so far on daily race c) - with a pad, no assists... was ****** difficult but got there in the end.

1 win in the viper
The 2 seconds with the viper
1 third with the merc and the last two 3rds in the mustang.

One thing I notice racing B Tier at Monza is the amount of people just turning in when I'm right alongside them on the inside. As if I'll just magically vanish if you pretend I'm not there. Not a nose alongside either, full car and often a nose ahead into the turn. At some point people have to realise they've lost the line before we got here and just back it out, it often doesn't affect me as much as the perpetrators who can't push me off so mostly spin themselves into the dirt.

Can't tell if it's more a lack of awareness or just refusing to accept when they've lost a place.

If someone forces you off the track and you decide you are going to give them payback can you please do this at the back of the race. Sick of seeing two racer go at each other bashing and barging. Some how everytime they is an opportunity to get past them I end up been worst off as they decide I’m not allowed past. I know I should wait for the penalty line to past them but sometimes non of the drivers had pens.

Matchmaking…. Anybody know how it works?
So today I did a few races on daily C and was using the AMG and AM V12. When I used the AMG I would qualify about P7/P8. As soon as I switched to the AMV12 I was always qualifying down in P12/P13. Anyone else had this? I did have more fun in AMV12 working my through the field. In the AMG I struggle to make any progress due to racer ahead been faster.

The car would just be a coincidence, You can have drastically different lobbies from one race to the next for a few reasons. A change in DR, more or less people of similar DR racing, but usually you may have lost 5-10 SR points and you’ll be matched against totally different people despite your SR ranking being the same.
