Kicking myself in the ass for not remembering I wanted to save it until AFTER I exited the room...:banghead:
Been there, (not) done that. many times. Don't forget you can save a recording of the gameplay after the fact.
It's interesting seeing the majority view on this, I'll have to try and take it onboard as looking at this I don't think it's unreasonable for him to get back on the racing line for the turn. There was no sudden movement or swerve and it seems you had enough time to react, it was very predictable and you can't expect to just hold throttle 100% regardless of what's happening in front of you.

Speed doesn't give you right of way.

However my view appears to be the minority, I thought it worth sharing for that reason.

It's not the worst thing to ever happen anyway but could have been a bigger incident on another day.**

**EDIT on rewatch I can see what happened in rear view. Ooh I'm not sure dude, I don't think this is a good move. As above others disagree so hey, take it for whatever you think it's worth but I would have felt an apology was owed there.
I'm actually with you on this. If I had it to do over again, I would have slowed down and avoided him, especially since we were so far in the back of the pack - what did I really gain from it?

We're all people, and it would have been the nice thing to do to avoid him. In the end, it's just a game, but how we treat people is real life.

Wow, that came out of nowhere! But I think it's true. I may add that to my signature.

you sir, are quit philisophical today. Think I appriciate that you take time to reflect on your driving, more people should do that. Indeed, even though it is just a game, you do have an influence on other people's live, no matter how small it might be, with your actions in that game and one might take that into consideration.

I think I agree with Mercia on this, especially as it is just a daily race, and in the back of one too.
But we make decisions in a split second and think I might have done the same in the heat of the moment, thinking of the famous 'if there is a gap' quote. We all make spit decisions that we might regret doing so in hindsight, I know I do. Reflect and learn from it.

Would be cool if there was a standing GTPlanet race in the lobby...run the same tracks as the dailies and we can (try to) use that as a meeting ground? I know these things often start with grand intentions but die on the vine but, and with enough interest, maybe it could happen?

Just thinkin' out-loud, which is rarely a good thing. Though, when done in public, tends to earn you a good berth from all those around you. 😁
Luckily there's DRWF on a Friday.

In better news the Huracan is a monster in Race B, looks totally slept on in the standings but trust me, give it a go.
Thanks for the hot tip @Mercia ! Gave the huracan a crack and managed to improve my quali time by 0.3 secs over my ferrari time. Took a bit of getting used to but you can really throw it into corners and it takes off like a rocket out of the double rights onto the back straight so makes up a heap of time there too.

I can't believe I never thought of this! So many years of FIA races written off because I work nights... Never once occurred to me I could just set up a backup which has race times that favour my schedule. Damnit!
Now mind you that your total points don’t intermix between your account, if you care about that sort of thing. I don’t, but I know it matters to a lot of people. But having an account in each region, has more or less allowed me to do the complete schedule one way or another

It pulls really well up the hill after the final chicane too - you can leave people behind there.

As you say, it takes a bit if getting used to - I used it successfully all week last week at Spa, but it feels like a totally different car at Road Atlanta.

And, as per usual, people don't like you overtaking them when they're using the 'fastest' car!

The view might be crap, but I've found GT by Citreon the fastest around Road Atlanta. Taken me from fighting in the last half the field to top 5 qualifiers and a 2nd place last time out.

I have been racing in Race A this week, because I am bored of the Red Bull Ring and Race B is a little to frantic for me. Does anyone else have this - I chipped my qualy time down to 1.04.75 and then out of nowhere I set a 1.04.3. I cant get anywhere near this again (did manage a 1.04.6 once). If only I could remember what i did differently!

...please. 😁

Depending on the car they use for Grand Valley, may be a good race, otherwise I'm racing Spa all the time. I hate the GP-Strecke. And just a heads-up, if anyone has a C-rating and in the Americas, be careful racing RBR tonight, there's been a Canadian causing grief.

A: the ambulance
B: Gr3
C: Gr4

Guessed
Unlikely to be the ambulance on Sports tyres. Most likely going to be the MC20 or something like the Ford GT, if I had to guess.
Very uncreative week again. Not been interested at all in the dailies lately and this will just continue.

I don't seem to be the only one. Repeating an entire week for a couple of months ago this week is an all-time low for the daily format.

Bit of an entertaining finish on this one:

Decided to check the replay as not sure how 2nd had got there despite not being in this mix at all. Bit sorry for the car we follow here as I don't think they did anything wrong, but I was always going to try it on the Alfa as the 0.5 he was carrying came from trying to shove me off the last right hand before the straight.

I still think I just about made this legal

I don't know when the last time was I did a Daily Race, like actually into it and trying. I want to say when it was Nurb Nord 24h layout back in May. So, three-ish months? I did want to do the Dayton RC in Gr3 but my rig was torn down so I missed it.

If Daily A is something cool like higher end sports cars (similar to the quali even for the GTWS Nations race maybe?!) I'll do some of those. If it's the Ambulance, I am out.

The Manu/Nations/Gazoo and TTs races are the only things keeping my interest... and I am using "keeping my interest" lightly.

Loving this weeks Daily C.
Had the afternoon off some jumped in and spent 3 hours just going back to back on Daily C.
The racing has been great. Didn’t come across 1 dirty driver, and everyone drive hard but fair. The one driver who did hit me but I genuinely thought I just spun it round on myself waited for me. So good sportsmanship from that driver. Had a good laugh them in the next race and also clean racing.

6 races and some mixed results. P4 my best result, a P5, couple of P8s and one P14. The P14 was my fault and was the first race with no warm up. I spun on T4 going down the hill.

Seen next weeks tracks. Daily C - Nurburgring GP, x7 fuel x1 tyres. Going to be a repeat of that full saving race in Gr4 I think, so looks like I’ll be afk for the week.
Daily B is Spa, x1 fuel & tyre. Gr3 surely?

Race C is another duplicate from this week.

I've actually lost hope in them. They are funneling people into Sport Mode, and then put in less effort than they ever have before?

Whatever. I'll be back when there's a ranked road car or tuner race. Tired of Gr.3 and Gr.4 ad nauseum. If I wanted that, I'd play ACC.

Edit: removed the bit about playing ACC the video player does not the quoting player

Agree completely it's a sham on every level.

A game that uses a video to tell players to be fair and then an AI that came out of a Christmas cracker complexity.

And then the audacity to just shovel us the same crap over and over.

Please don't take offence but when the highlight of the week is "maybe their might be weather" what's the point.

Being transparent the A ranked races with Clios and Golf's were the gateway drug but these are gone now.

Now we are left with fuel saving (they dialled that back because it's rubbish) and weird one strategy tire races because the tire physics are rubbish.

And to top it off they make us repeat them over and over and over.

It's becoming a joke in and of itself.

Exactly how I’ve been feeling towards the game. This week was the first time I’ve enter Daily C since May.
All I do now is mess about on offline mode for 30 mins, run the weekly time trials, enter any GTWS races and I’ll jump on to any open lobbies my friends are in.

Just wish PD would listen to people more and give us more of what we want.
I want a 30mins race, that has strategy or dynamic weather. Give us single car classes like a Porsche cup in the cayman Gr, or do the GTWS Scirocco race again, or an Audi cup in the R8 Gr3. I’d love to see some of the least used cars get some time.

Remember when Road Atlanta dropped and the following week's C was the Miata Touring Car there? That was so much fun. I don't know why they can't do something like that at least once a month, if not every other week.

I wish it wasn't so, but I've begrudgingly come to accept that Sport Mode dailies are always going to be Gr.3/Gr.4 fests, because that's what the people who live in Sport Mode seem to want and like.

But I really want PD to bring some other matchmaking tool somewhere in the game that caters to people who want to use the - pretty nice and varied at this point - full library of cars and tracks while still having SR turned on and matchmade with.
