This makes no sense as the anti roll bar only is active when cornering and is a tool to help the car not roll in the corners.
You'll be running over kerbs at Eau de Rouge, Radillion, entering the Kemmel, possibly exiting the Kemmel as Les Combes, then again at Stavelot and Paul Friere. Softening up the bar means when the wheels on one side hit a curb, the wheel itself bounces. Stiffening the bar will lift both wheels and have a greater risk of lifting the car body. The lower you stay on the kerbs, the more speed and thus downforce you carry into any high speed section of the track. Higher downforce means a tiny bit lower profile, a tiny bit less drag, and, most importantly, the diffuser is more effective.
The speed benefit from the anti roll bar isn't much, but every bit counts with the 911.
Stuff suspension is great at Spa...when you have 1000+ downforce and can stay completely on the pavement. If you're cutting kerbs to carry speed, though, you need to loosen the suspension and in races where it's possible, install smaller diameter rims to help absorb the impact. If you're cutting kerbs in any rear wheel drive or mid-rear or rear engine car and have a diffuser, you must keep that diffuser planted.
Maybe the game doesn't take it this far, the only way to know is to try. For me it made an entire grid worth of difference. I'm not going to argue with consistent podium finishes.
I'm also better at modding and maintaining cars than I am driving them.
