Well, gonna miss last week. I know others have mentioned but want to reiterate...they could do tuned road cars for Race A every damn week. I might not ever chase DR again. 😁

Ran a couple races at Daytona and was struggling. Was sorta OK doing qualifiers but was completely lost during the race. Kept grabbing the brakes too soon and just couldn't chill-out. After a "sure-hope-I-make-it-back-to-the-line" class DFL, decided to go elsewhere for a bit.

I should've paid more attention to everyone raving about Race A earlier in the week. I missed out on a LOT of fun. Had a couple messy moments comin'-in hot off the draft into T1 but overall the racing was top-notch. Beyond that, the road cars seem to be my strongest 'class', lol. Both times I've run these I've been able to score qualifiers in the 500's (Nord' w/the 911, here with the LFA @ 2:08.806). Freakin' love these cars!

...-... Huracan cup once again. Boooooring. Nerf needed ASAP. End of message ...-...
GR Lambo should be it's own category.

I can get the G70 and the NSX close to my current time but the NSX would be really tricky in race to be competitive and consistent. The G70 and maybe GTR could be good alternatives but that still leaves 90% of the GR4 cars non competitive in competitive lobbies :(

Tidgney is recommending to change tires and watching the rest of the streamers they are also doing it and at different laps depending on the traffic.
So, maybe we can have some strategy this week!
It will pan out to be either a bit of traffic management or end of race strat. Both of these are good. Realistically for a lot of us a tire change is a good idea....but when ;)

I really don't understand the handling of the Gr4 Hurracan, it's weirdly very understeery but quite slidey as well.

I really struggle to drive it like other can.
Hmm, considering the lastest development on my friends leaderboard you've got some explaining to do...🧐😆

100% agreed. I thought they had figured it out several months ago, at least partially, when you could at least a greater variety of cars, even the FFs, and different cars fitted better to different tracks, but now it's the 4WDs all over again and the Lambo far ahead... sigh...

Yeah, about that. Like you I can go fast but I'm way off where I need to be, and I was lucky on that lap as I definitely cut the final corner but carried 130mph and that was 4 1/10s

It's frustrating as Gr4 is probably the most easy to balance. Excluding the Mazda all of the cars should be viable but in PD fashion they aren't.

With all they know about driving and the game we still end up like this. Even Lester in his Supra is sliding further and further back.

Realistically what's the point of the Gr4 mustang, the Gr86, the scirrocco, the Mazda, even the McLaren now.

Theoretically can go fast in them but reality is way way far from that.

When it's any of the more twisty tracks, and Gr4 hard, I'm usually up there on the leaderboard sub 1000, and even once in a while sub 100. Not sure why that is, but it just works. In races however, I plain suck. Not that I make a fool of myself, and make a bunch of mistakes or so, but more that I just go a bit slower than everyone else.

I did one race on the mountain: started 4'th and dropped one position per lap. Ended 8. Still enjoyable, some really good and respectful racing, side by side in T1-T2 on a lap or two. Just a shame that I can't seem to be fast in races.

BTW: This 👇 should be a daily race, and not just once. They know it, and we all know it:

Ran Race C at Daytona over the weekend and just managed to keep hold if my DR A which I achieved at Bathurst a couple of weeks ago... but barely... best position was a sixth place.

I've hit the ceiling, proving I'm a B driver at best, which I'm fine with.

Did a few race A's at Interlagos tonight which confirmed it. A and some A+ drivers in the lobby, which also confirms these races are more popular with the GR.3 cars, which is a shame for those of us that like some variation in Race A.

My limited experience takeaway is that unfortunately DR A/SR S lobbys are no cleaner than DR D lobbies. The chaos is cynical as opposed to mistakes being made.

I am wondering: Has any seasoned driver perhaps done some observations about whether time of day has any influence or not? (- on how dirty races are.)

Did a few practice laps on Trial Mountain to get a feel for the track, but haven't set a proper time yet. I never really drove the reverse layout. Never even did the single player events on the reverse track. Maybe I'll try to learn this track this week, I have the feeling I can get used to it. Shame the Lambo seems overpowered as others have stated, though I do find it less slidey than I remembered. Maybe I only drove it pre-1.49 and it has changed since. The G70 is less powerful on the straights I guess? Not seeing it on the leaderboards.

I also like the Nurburgring GP layout but I focused on dailies there the last time it came around.

B/S wise I find races I the UK evening 2000-2200 far more salty and dirty than if I get a chance to race during the day. Seems partly due to the higher player count Western Europe wise I guess and so likelyhood of meeting a larger ratio of intentionally dirty/non sporting driving.

That being said more often than not I’m also more prone to mistakes in the evening being tired and so prone to getting caught up in confrontations that would maybe otherwise avoid. So partly a mix of player base and yourself I assume.

I've typically found this to be the case but also a common denominator tied to users that are complete clowns and ruin people's races over and over. When I see these people and we have similar qualy times I tend to jump to a different race or stop playing all together. They suck my soul

So far I've done 13 races at Trial Mountain, I've been having a blast there and soon I'm gonna start racing at Interlagos. I usually don't score good laps there, mainly because the very first turn is a lap crusher, they are strict here on the penalties if your tires go out of the track limit, I've learned from experience with GT sport. Sector 3 and 4 can be a bit annoying and mind-blowing too because not getting enough sleep and focusing will cause you to get a bad time. That's why I have put it off some because I know what I'm in for. How have you guys been doing at Interlagos, I know some of you have already started racing there as soon as the race sets switched.

I like Interlagos this week. Just don't like the other drivers on it.
What about the Nurburgring? I may give it a go but it depends on how I feel this week, and would it be worth getting the super-duper bonuses? Maybe so, you know I think I need to try it out this time. I know I say it and don't end up putting the work in, but this is an opportunity that I cannot miss here. PD will bribe a lot of players by doing this everytime.

Some races can be dangerous depending on what type of drivers you're dealing with. I always stay in the back away from the nasty crowd whenever I'm in higher ranked lobbies. That's why I'm staying in the D-rank for now because most of the races I've had have been friendly, polite and enjoyable. It's nice not having to worry about crazy dangerous drivers that want to punt/ram you off the road.

It's all good until you're at the front of the pack with those people. You then have to scarper like you're an elephant with a dodgy tummy who doesn't like going to the loo in public.

I feel the same about trial Mountain with the barrier penalties

Incidentally, there was a driver called Barry R (genuinely) who might have been the only driver who DIDN'T hit me 😂😂😂
I found it rough going yesterday either by suicide or just the nature of essentially a street circuit race that's only 4 laps long that encourages/panics people in to pushing to hard to make progress

@GOTMAXPOWER this never works when I try it

More practice required. The initial spin is easy, the recovery and pass not so much.

I thought he might upload that so I put my version up last night to get a headstart on the views 😅

That was a poor effort from me, I didn't practice it so got the wrong patch of grass too far from the corner and not enough rotation so had to stick it in reverse. Probably cost over half a second compared to a clean attempt 😔

That was a crazy insane move Man. 🤣
Definitely lived up to your name.
Never seen anything like that, I'd give it 10/10 💪😂
