Yes, it does help to be super smooth in the turns, but that's not the whole story.Have you watched the ghost laps? They gain an extra MPH just on the turning. It's mental
Very true, there was a TM event 1 year ago that to set a competitive time meant waiting for it to become night. Was about a 20 min wait.Yes, it does help to be super smooth in the turns, but that's not the whole story.
Twice, I've ended the week at SSRX being the #1 qualifier in the world.
This morning, I got to #1 again, but it didn't last too long.
I'm only saying that to add a bit of credibility to my advice.
There are times when you're given a car that just has more power. I think temperature has a little bit to do with it.
It's not all about the temp, but it does seem to make some difference. I can confidently say that if the gauge on your dashboard says 17C, you're wasting your time. You have no chance. Generally 15C, or less, is what you'll see from the top qualifiers.
When I got to the #1 spot, this morning, it was 6 or 7 laps into the run. I believe the temp was about 14C.
Sometimes, as was the case for me, the car will just speed up for no good reason. I was at 413 kph entering the tunnel, while in the earlier laps, I could only get to 411 kph.
In summary, you need to have the good fortune of being granted a bit of extra power, while being in the right temp range, and holding a very steady line as high as possible in the turns.
Agree, I am being super smooth with my inputs, I just don't get how I can be so far offVery true, there was a TM event 1 year ago that to set a competitive time meant waiting for it to become night. Was about a 20 min wait.
The conditions should "should" be equal in QT now for all races but they use custom parameters which are locked.
I'll goo bore out a couple of laps in a min and see if I feel what you feel with it.
As Tazzy said 1+ seconds shouldn't be a thing here 1/100s1/1000s should
Yeah I get that bit, I'm using a pad so clearly my turns are gonna be slightly slower unless I'm perfect on holding the analogue stick in the same place!Have you watched the ghost laps? They gain an extra MPH just on the turning. It's mental
I've seen him race cleanly too, and still be taken out. Deservedly so in my opinion as he's ruined many races I've been in.Still loving race C.
I was just in a lobby with "Infamous Spanish guy who drives a pink car with his name on it" (hopefully this is fine for the no name and shame rule even though this isn't a shaming post 🙂)
I started 3rd and they were 8th, so I was incredibly nervous about being taken out before the race even started
Maybe it's the Christmas spirit or something, but they actually drove a pretty much perfectly clean race. Someone took them out on turn one and they didn't even retaliate when they had the chance.... I don't know what to believe in life anymore!
BTW bud, thanks for the livery (the Huracan one I like that I found is one of yours). Much nicer than the other yellow Iron Lynx one I had before. I think it makes me faster especially after a car wash. Cheers!....
Some incredibly fast times being set this week at Laguna Seca (not by @newmedia_dev 😂 🤪 😂 ) !!

Slowly starting to get there but wanted to have a bit of fun with one of my favorite cars (old spec NSX GT3) and I just love the way it drives and hearing the engine scream when you trash it around! Won't be setting any records with it but if you want to take a break and just have some fun, give it a go! You will thank me later 😊
Merry Xmas everyone! 🎅🎄🎁
It's identical to how it works offline.Hey guys! After playing GT7 on single player only for quite some time I think about finally getting PS Plus to participate in Daily Races.
So just a quick question about something I couldn't figure out so far: How are driving aids handled in Daily Races? For example: Two weeks ago there was a race using the Radical, a car that (IRL) does not have ABS. How is this reflected in Daily Races? Is ABS disabled or are driving aids always available, no matter if those are available on the real car or not?
They theoretically have the ability to ban specific driving aids on a per-race (not per-car) basis - some FIA races in GT Sport banned... I can't remember if it was ASM or countersteer assist, one of the two.Hey guys!
