Which is better/What's the difference between <default> and <weak> ABS settings?

If I'm opening up a debate as old as 'Vinyl -vs- CD' with this one, apologies...😇
I'm a lazy guy, so ABS weak always on for me. I reckon there's maybe 0.1-0.15 sec per km difference between on or off, being off the fastest solution. Btw, modern gt cars or prototypes use ABS under IMSA-ACO Le Mans rules.
Since I felt competitive with the Alfa at DF, regardless the level of sportsmanship, I'll be around Suzuka this week. Only 4 laps is not much, but the rolling start will help minimise the first corner's carnage, hopefully.

Use ABS default with the Gr4 cars, they seem to run better with it. Just because you and transition easier between braking and acceleration much quicker.

If you are super buttery on the brakes then maybe weak but it's not needed just coast then turn ins and you can do sector one with almost no braking apart from T1/2 combo everything else can be done like a pendulum.

Edit: spelling

Thanks for the input and I figured there's not much to be gained from either or it'd be a bigger topic 'round here. As with sooo many things when it comes to driving, personal preference may reign supreme, lol.

Kinda like you, I'm feeling a bit emboldened by the power of Busso...gonna miss the tunnel runs, tho. So many rpm....😁

EDIT
This is pure headphone joy...unless you're single. If you identify as single, this needs cranked so the neighbors hear it. 👍

I'll upload a video tomorrow showing S1 and 2 at Suzuka in GR4 you don't need hardly any braking mostly degna 2 and the hairpin obviously turn 1 but you coast most of that in GR4

Spoon I can't get right and the fast guys are way quicker than I am so it's all pinch of salt stuff, follow their ghosts.

But for fun, I'll be back from work early so will do a vid if anyone is interested

It appears they turned the yellow flag penalties on high, despite almost never enforcing them normally. I got 2 penalties totaling 6 seconds in one Race C, the first time not even seeing a car or a flag. Then I accidentally punted someone way off the track, no penalties at all. Oh wait, I guess everything is working fine. /s

I qualified near the back for the Race C at Nurburgring, I ducked into the pit at the end of lap 1 and on exit, my DD Pro disconnected. This is not the first time. I stayed in the race and had to completely reboot the wheel. I finished the race and saved the replay and found that it had just continued me racing.

Boy Race A is carnage. Well T1 anyways, 3 from 4 races I was hit there, turned around twice including from pile I had by 2 seconds. So still no win with a wheel dammit.

My pace is ok but east to overdrive and miss your apex. Barcelona always confuses me, there's one or two corners where tbh I don't really know the line.

Race C
I'm struggling with understeering on race C in my Porsche. I hate first sector but this is maybe time to try to learn how to manage sector 1 on Nürburgring GP. What about track limits? A lot of cars drive really of the circuit in turn 5, Is it no limits here?

Cars:
What about Honda Castrol MUGEN NSX '00 or Honda NSX Gr.3? I normally like MR cars and the RR (Porsche) but now I'm struggling a lot with the Porsche....

Any tips or advises?

Turn 5 you can run wide but if you run wide too early or too late then you will get a tract limit.

Just experiment with what feels good for you.

As for cars they are fairly all balanced here although need slightly different driving styles. I'd recommend trying the 650 or 458 as they are extremely stable cars. Try to brake a fraction earlier and coast a bit so you get nice clean acceleration over trying to make loads of time going in to the corners

Nither Hypercars nor LMP cars use ABS. Also Formula cars don't use ABS

Thank you! I will give the McLaren 650S a try, this car is new for me. The Ferrari 458 is absolutely a stable car that can fit this track good.

Race looked like it was going to be a real handful this week, did anyone see the super GT video of the online high speed ring race, mostly people couldn’t get off the line 🤣

Need some serious wide open spaces for those bad boys

Sure GT3 cars are equipped with ABS. For Proto and LMDh iit's formally prohibited (you're right on that), but I've read recently on Autosport an interview of a top LMDH driver speaking about the problem he faced to adapt to "ABS sort of", coming from formulas. Need to go back to find that if needed. Basically it works differenttly from an actual ABS where the load on disks vary at the same position of the pedal (wich is formally forbidden as said). From what I learned, those systems use the hybrid system to "push" the car when a blokage is about to happen, so the pedal is always at same position regarding the load (wich doesn't change) that it applies to the disks (engine and diff. mapping come in to play also in this).

For the moment I can only share this:
