I did some late night US, early morning racing on the Euro lobbies. Tried the M6 for QT and beat my Lexus time on the VR account pretty easily 🤔

I must agree with this. The M6 turns in a lot easier though I never really had an issue with the Lexus.

First race and holy smokes! What a mixed lobby.

…and it’s ferocious. The group in front of me is all over the place. In one case I tap one and send them off, so I wait up and yield the place. Still, it’s chaos ahead of me, but I’m finding I’m being slowed but can’t pass as the three in front are trading blows and going 2, 3 wide through turns. Somehow penalties ultimately helped me pass that mess and I finished 12th. Funnily I got clean race, even though I punted someone.

Next race was a full B lobby. This one was good, starting third with good action up front. Ended 2nd and P5 behind me winning.

Then switched back over to the US VR account an wrung out some QT with the M6. I took another .3 of off but not sure now how to find more time.

Yeah I know. Brake later (or earlier), carry more speed, accelerate sooner, be a better driver…. Yeah, yeah. Yeah :D

@newmedia_dev any tips? I found running BB -2 was best for me.

I am a bit afraid, to ask. The video is in your view, wearing the VR thing? I feel like your seating position is very far from the steering wheel and also a bit to low. I would have massive problems finding any apex. Spinning to far away from the track, i would have major problems finding it again.... Please, don't take it as criticism, i am still on ps4 with a controller, but I hoped for a more realistic look of the tarmac and a better impact of the speed...

I tried the M6, gtr and genesis x with break balance at - 5 , at 0, at +3 and +5. To me, this break balance thing has way to much influence. It is like an all overlooking stability program, it effects my car not only when I'm breaking. I shouldn't be running wide at a "coasting" corner, where i just lift off and accelerate carefully, if i do the latter in the Genesis x bb+5 no tcs =spin or bb-5 no tcs, = more understeer. Excuse my opinion, but it feels like they put this break balance as a tool to easily tune your car. Racing for dummies. But hey, i watch motorsport since i am an infant and the big question was always "what break balance will they use today" Rally, Wtcc, f1, gt class it's all about bb.... 🤔🤭 I am not mad, but it takes me days to find the right set up...
I am also a bit frustrated, you all had this, i am sure, i hate my myself as ghost from tuesday, because i am not able to come close to it, in more than 100 test laps.

I drove only race B, because they all heard us complaining about driving ettiquetes. I had good races, saw some drivers desperately blocking faster drivers, or some attempts of murdering by accident 😉 but overall, much much better.... I am stuck with a 1:47.302🙈🥺 since Tuesday.

Since a few months, i cant really see a difference if i am DR B, C, orD... I went down to DR D (driving when tired, or interrupted by Harvey (🐑 dog), as i transferred from D to C again, i came in 3rd. The first had an over all time of 9.04.xxx me 9.10.xxx.... The first race at C, i came in 2nd - 9.14.xxx, p1 - 9.12.xxx.,, @brockie showed a result with DR A(+) as a winner 8.52.xx...it makes my heart fill with joy ☺️ to know, that i didnt became worse, it is just more important to increase the quantity of qualifications of excellent quality. 🥔 Good Sunday to you all.

After not touching sport mode for 8 months or so due to not enjoying it I jumped on yesterday and this morning for some daily B action. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and the racing was great.

If anyone I raced against is on here thank you for making it enjoyable and not a rage
I think I raced against you, you were glued to my rear end and I was sweating for 5 laps! 😁

I have to say, I do remember great races

I hope you stick around 👍

Edit: this really bugged me, the guy said I put him in dirty air etc

He tried to spin you 2 corners earlier. The nice and friendly way, like the police does, when they want you to refrain from driving any further. He was all about your disposal, overtaking was never on his menu. ... Sad,, this move, (contact to the side at the very end of a car) is just sad... But, sorry, .. It looked pretty cool seeing you crash in his
rear view mirror (the one inside a car)

Yeah haha, watching you wipe out was a pleasing part of this debauchery lol

Sorry that tickled me @Charmantha

Sorry @newmedia_dev my last race of the day had me being put in the wall, I got 6 wins today so it’s all good

I’m away next week, might have a few hours before lunch tomorrow but enjoy your racing week guys 👊

Been a tough week for me but yeay

It varies by car. You have to understand that what you see in the VR feels totally different to what you see on a replay screen. But I would add that some positional control would be nice. In the M6 you can’t see the shift lights unless you squat low. They’re completely pointless, but you learn to adapt. The M6 is actually not that bad compared to some, but it’s getting there. Some cars look like you’re staring down the length of an oil tanker.

As to finding apex, I find that much easier in VR than bumper. One tip is that you can use position of track against the dash for positional reference. For example, in the m6 the passenger side of the car is at the edge of the track when the track is center dash.

Tip it to sit up an inch or more straight before it switches to the in car camOh I know that, but tired angle of the dash makes it to see the lights you have to be really low, which makes visibility out of the car atrocious. I’d rather have good visibility and not see the light. I can gauge when to shift of sound and the rev gauge.
I know that. But the issue is that to see the lights you have to sit really low and then visibility out of the car is atrocious. I’d rather sit up, have good visibility and not see the lights. I can time the gear shift of auditory cues and the rev gauge.

There is an angle for me that lets me see the bottom of the Rev counter lights but also have the proper dash/bonnet height.

It’s not ideal and it’s even worse if you recalibrate the camera holding start that position puts the wheel in your chest 🤣

To be fair you can see the actual rev counter so it’s easy enough to see the shift point just before the line.

It’s no longer available Chris sadly PD changed the code from public to private.
I have no idea where you got this information from, my departure from GT as a whole has nothing to do with this.
Thought i'd clarify since I've been pointed to this.

To my knowledge absolutely nothing has changed. I just happen to have been the only person looking into it.

I got this information from other sources GTSH-Rank who explained that the APIs had changed or the permissions had.

My post had absolutely nothing the hell to do with you, it didn’t imply you, mention you or even infer you.

So if you wanna argue with someone go argue with those people.

Edit we can still see the TTs a day or two early. Which other people “looking in to it post”

Ultimately it doesn’t matter if we know or not so it’s is importance is limited because what will be will be.

Edit 2:

We were being given this information after you left mate I don’t think it was like exclusively you that is the only reverse engineer or computer scientist. Why pick on my post?

Good Sunday at Glen. Managed only 9 races, cause I was really struggling with turn 1, wich was making me inconsistent. I finally unlocked it (at least the minimum required to be consistent) and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of racing. I consolidated my DR thanks to some podiums and a really sweet win from pole; my 1st in a full A/S lobby. There were 2 racec btw where the server's connection was so poor that I raced looking the other's car jumping all over the place. One made combo with also a bugged start where the 2nd in grid was "smoked" from me (3rd) and @Barney Da Dog. I lost it from 2nd due to lag at last corner of T3 and "saved" for a 5th at the end. In general it seems to me that Sunday is less rage and more fairness, lately.

Managed a couple of wins already this morning,

First in the G70 which have a marginally faster time with, then in a GTR which I managed a 1000th of my G70 time.

Not sure which one I prefer, I think the GTR takes the final chicane better in 3rd but let’s see how the week evolves,

Catch up with you guys Friday 👍

Decided to switch to bonnet cam (instead of chase cam which I used up until now) and did some quali laps on Road Atlanta and I'm within 1.8 seconds of the world's top time. Maybe this car/track combo just suits me, but I've got the feeling I can spot my braking and turning points better with the bonnet cam. I always took a liking to the chase cam because of the overview, but it's harder to see what's right in front of the car (harder to race really close and not hit someone in the braking zones).

I read posts like this and my gut reaction is "try TC1". No TC is tough sledding, yes it is faster if you are a fantastic driver but it gives you very little margin to lean on the car, TC1 is not too intrusive and you can now deal with a less stable BB setting and turn in faster. TC1 only really kicks in if you get it wrong exiting slow corners, it doesn't engage through esses or fast corners for example.

Onto this week, I am not a fan of Road Atlanta or Deep Forrest so may try Race A, but open to all three, will see how I feel.
