Adjusting the headband higher was a huge help. After that I moved the headset slightly away from my nose, and everything felt perfect. I was able to play 2-3 hours straight without issues. I also used your write up to connect my 4 bass shakers and get them working through Simhub. Thanks again for the help!I have a wide nose bridge too, and I find that the pupillary distance of the lenses is not as critical as you might think. I open the LPD until I can't feel the headset on my nose, even though the adjustment tool says it's wide (but still showing blue circles) and I don't notice any drop in picture clarity. The other thing you can try is adjusting the top band such that it sits higher on your head.
Yes, I fit the headset in its natural position, raise the rear band to where my head is proudest (in a rearward direction), pop the visor out a notch (because it is now too tight), then tighten the back adjuster. This gives me a comfortable fit and good optics.Adjusting the headband higher was a huge help. After that I moved the headset slightly away from my nose, and everything felt perfect. š So you're trying to make a comparison of your pace on controller vs wheel, but you're making any judgment about that by comparing times around Le Mans in the wet on the wheel vs dry on the controller? That doesn't make any sense. Why not just go to Le Mans and run in time trial mode if you want to use that track and want to make a direct comparison?Had my first race around Le Mans in my new Playseat Evolution with my G29. I normally lap the field in my F1 '97 but this time I finished 2nd. I'm about 30 seconds slower with the wheel than I am with the pad. That could be down to the immense amount of rain though.
I'm still slower with the wheel than I am with the controller. It's going to take laps and laps to get up to the same pace I have with the controllerš So you're trying to make a comparison of your pace on controller vs wheel, but you're making any judgment about that by comparing times around Le Mans in the wet on the wheel vs dry on the controller? In VR? No I don't see any artifacts on screen.Do you also see a purple artifact in the shape of a square in the center of your field of vision when looking at a darker area, such as the area below the steering wheel?
From what I've read, every headset has them.Do you also see a purple artifact in the shape of a square in the center of your field of vision when looking at a darker area, such as the area below the steering wheel?
Why do you think 3 weeks? I'm in the UK and was very impressed to get it sent to them and replaced all in about 4 days. I believe it went to the Netherlands.Had to send my PSVR2 back for repair. It was the buttons of the right Sense controller not responding in game, but you have to send the whole kit in. Tried to press for sending back only the controllers, but no luck. Unfortunate, as 99% of my usage is GT7, so headset only. I've become so accustomed to racing in VR, it's going to be a long 3ish (hopefully) weeks.
Zeiss lens wipes and a microfiber cloth. What do you use to keep your VR2 headset clean?
I just got one and following the advice on here I've had great fun using it. But it's rather warm here at the moment and my headset got sweatier than I expected.
These and also a lenspen kit were my go to.Zeiss lens wipes
Careful with the lens pen, some can leave a residue. I found always following the pen with a wipe prevents buildup. These and also a lenspen kit were my go to.
I had a similar issue, grip button on right controller wasn't working so I wanted to send it in. Did not find the option so I called the support. "Since the controllers aren't sold separately but as a bundle with the vr it has all be send in together." After about two weeks I got the package back, but they didn't replace the controller, instead I got a whole new vr plus controllers... I hope they don't put the vr in the trash, would be such a waste... at least now everything works fineHad to send my PSVR2 back for repair. you might be glancing rather than tilting your head a lot maybe. in 2d looking up at the far corner where the lap counter is I think is enough to sometimes knock the allignment out.I'm always looking down at the fuel setting at the start of a race. It has never reset the VR doing it.
I might not have ever clicked that event if you didnāt say what you said. Quick and easy $2M. Events like this are exactly (obviously) what this game generally lacks so badly. Took me a few tries mostly because the AI dumped me twice LOLHead's up: Slightly off-topic I know, but there is currently an Olympic Esports Special Challenge on the GT7 home page/map (white box, top-right) featuring a Toyota GR010 racing 8 laps of Deep Forest Raceway. A win is worth 2 million credits and if I can do it on the second attempt (almost on the first attempt, in fact) having never driven such a car on this circuit, anyone can! The AI cars hold their lines come-what-may, but they always brake early into the final hairpin so as long as you don't spin-out, and are happy trail-braking, it's a very quick and easy 2M credits.
I based this on their website indicating that they attempt to turn around repairs within 14 days of receiving them. Why do you think 3 weeks? I'm in the UK and was very impressed to get it sent to them and replaced all in about 4 days. I believe it went to the Netherlands.
