After 4 months I finally sold mine PSVR2. I'm waiting for PSVR3.
So, I've ordered it again. Hopefully this time without stuck/dead pixels
That wait for PSVR3 not going great?

About 200 € cheaper than before, in Poland is now big price drop for new units. It costs now about 420 €.That wait for PSVR3 not going great?
No, nothing for GT7 yet.Has there been any specific PSVR2 improvement since it came to GT7?
Still absolutely loving my PSVR2. It's the only way to play GT7, and makes up for a lot of the shortcomings of the game. That said, I really am hoping for many more titles compatible with PSVR (driving games and others) to make this that much better.
That said, I am having an issue with mine, and it's one that has persisted since about the first week, I just haven't felt like losing it for the time it takes to send it in for warranty repair.
The problem is that sound goes out in my left earbud, and it can only really be brought back by moving the headset/viewer back and forth (like you're adjusting it snug to your face) until the sound comes back in. The plug for the earbuds is a wide connector on the top of the viewer on the left side above the upper face seal, but wiggling/adjusting it rarely makes a difference, and moving the headset back and forth is normally the only way to get the sound to come back.
It seems like there is a contact issue. Almost like there is something on the connections that is "worn off" as you slide the headset in and out, as the sound crackles back to life after a couple cycles and usually stays good for the duration of the session (usually 2ish hours).
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Other than that the headset has been flawless.
If it's in the budget, the Playstation 3D Pulse headset is great, and you don't need to plug it in to PSVR2. I find that the way it sits, it also supports a bit of the weight of the headset.Still absolutely loving my PSVR2. Additionally, if you have a pair of gaming headphones that plug in, you can plug them into your DS controller. Prior to PSVR2 it's what I would do once folks were upstairs for bed and ALWAYS for a race.If it's in the budget, the Playstation 3D Pulse headset is great, and you don't need to plug it in to PSVR2. I would rather go this route, insted of sending the VR for replacement. I had two of them and saw how much different they may be. Especially mura effect on the first one was awful. So as long the visual aspects are fine, I would keep it. You never know if they repair your unit or they send you a refubrished replacement. If it's in the budget, the Playstation 3D Pulse headset is great, and you don't need to plug it in to PSVR2. I actually have this exact same problem, although mine came up recently instead. I believe the wide connector on top of the visor conceals the plug for sound (circled in red), which seems to wiggle itself loose on my headset after repeated uses (sliding the visor in/out). Unplugging this and replugging it has returned sound to both earbuds, but I have already had to do this more than once, and expect that this issue may arise again. While this has served as a tentative “solution” I do plan on eventually sending the headset in before the warranty expires.Still absolutely loving my PSVR2. Hi !
IDK if it´s only me, or if it just some kind of mental placebo, but since PS5 8.00 update something has changed on the headset.
I´m not saying something has changed ON GT7, but on the headset itself. It has been updated today and in my opinión it has something to do with saturation or gamma on the screen. It has more contrast and a more "solid" picture now.
Please excuse my lack of english, since it isn´t my native language, but in any case that´s my perception atm. The same happens on No man´s Sky and Synth Riders, to name 2 examples. It´s the calibration of the headset itself.
And yes, here may come the probervial placebo, but the DB5 crome shines even more than yesterday on the TT...

I'm the same and they're decent enough. Not as good as my headphones, either, but they immerse me well.Am I missing out on a lot? I am just using the standard headphones which came with the VR.
I have some good Bose headphones but I don’t want more heavy gear on my head![]()
Buying expensive headphones is certainly not the fix for a faulty headset (I could get a free replacement for) I would choose, but if I was to go down this route I’d wait for the new wireless earbuds as I find PSVR2 + the pulse headset to be really clunky.
Yes, I think you're missing out. I bought a Arctis Nova 1P 7.1 Gaming Headset which is wired, so it's very light and has no batteries or charging issues, and has very good sound quality for its £40 price-tag (when I bought it). It fits very comfortably over the PSVR2 and does not add any noticeable weight even though it obviously weighs more than a set of ear buds. I plug the headset into my controller, which I have sitting on a mount next to my wheel. I can wholeheartedly recommend these headphones.Am I missing out on a lot? Yes..., the headphones that come with PSVR2 have horrible sound quality...Am I missing out on a lot? I am just using the standard headphones which came with the VR.

I’ve just read through the update notes reported on pushsquare.com and the only mention of the VR2 in the long list of PS5 improvements is:So, the update has improved the image quality, it is now sharper, smoother and there is no laggy focus shifting by eyetracking. Nice
There's always some amount of placebo posts after any update, I wouldn't be surprised if it's happening here too, especially since these improvements can come from just positioning the headset a bit better.I’ve just read through the update notes reported on pushsquare.com and the only mention of the VR2 in the long list of PS5 improvements is:
No mention of image quality improvements. I’ve just completed another race this evening and I’m still not noticing any change in the picture, which is still very good.
- We've updated the device software of the DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation VR2 and PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers to improve stability.
That's intersting, and makes sense. I've never been able to use earbuds of any kind for any length of time. They always either fall out or else are very painful (small ear canals I guess). On the stock headphones, sound quality depends on them getting a good seal to your ear canal. I use this type of headphones extensively as a musician. If they don't seal, you get zero bass. Also check the opening on the earbuds, make sure it's free of earwax.
Most in ear headphones don't seal intoy ears. The PSVR2 ones did, though, and sounded amazing. I still got the Pulse headset for the simple fact that Mickey Mouse style headphones always work, earbuds usually don't, plus I'm not shoving anything potentially infected into my ear.
