We need a button to put the hd on/off while racing…that we can turn on and off instantly
Best idea ive heard yet…i havent used HUD since gt6. I do customize endurance races so i have to pause the game and turn it to check on tires and fuel…then turn it back off…its kinda annoying

Again, i cannot believe that people who does this as a work, they do not have those ideas. Really easy to implement, it keeps the screen really clean and in one touch u have all the info and then u turn everything off.

Best not try to get inside the mind of KAZ and PD. I learned that long ago, it'll drive you 🦇 💩 crazy. 😉 Just enjoy what you can from GT and don't spend too much time thinking about it. Haha. (IMO)

The good thing is this game has finally tipped the scale imo, and it seems clear to me that VR racing will be part of my life moving forward indefinitely.

I am firmly in this boat. Played this game since Gran Turismo on my PlayStation. This is an entirely different experience for me now.

Bonus, I feel like - now that I'm used to VR and can do very long stints - the control I have of each car on the track is better than before.

Yes the VR aspect is the only thing that got me to purchase and play this game. Luckily I don't have a ton of spare time to play, so I don't feel upset about the update pushes since Im about 3 weeks apart from each time I play the game. So each time I play I feel like PD is making the game a bit more complete.

Im hoping that devs learn from the cyberpunk 2.0 launch, that game seems to have wiped clean a lot of initial negative reviews and made an incredible game that made people get back into it.

Indeed.

Downside, if you can call it that, is I have no interest in trying the new forza or playing acc, motorfest etc as I can't imagine driving being fun/engaging on flat screen after experiencing gt7 in vr.

I also feel that VR has ruined all other racing games for me, but I enjoy playing GT7 so much that I don't mind its faults or that it's my only VR option, it keeps me entirely hooked and satisfied.
I only play the WRC games and I still play it as frequent as I do with the GT7 VR. There are certain aspects of flat screens that I still enjoy

I actually jumped back in ACC PS5 for a GT4 race and then Porsche Cup, at Bathurst. The main thing about ACC, in cockpit, is the attitude of the bumpiness. It’s simulated so good. The cockpit environment without the steering wheel, makes driving enjoyable. It can’t replace VR, but I feel that’s about as immersive as a flat tv console game can be. Racing versus 93/90 AI, it becomes an exercise of keeping pace to not lose position. Good stuff. However, that game would be incredible in PSVR2.

Anyway, setting up a field of 20 Mazda3 Gr.4 around Bathurst, in VR, is giving me more of TCR feel, than running a TC field, in PC2.

I'm not good enough, currently, to have AI difficulty as high as you. Maybe something to do with migrating from flat to VR ...

As you say, though, ACC would be utterly amazing in VR. Would console be capable of processing the data, though? My belief is that GT7 is likely going to be THE title for VR2, but I am REALLY excited about WRC. I've preordered it. I'm hopeful it will (eventually?) be on VR2 as well.

I would say no. Unreal 4 is notoriously difficult to get good VR implementation in racing sims. I played ACC in VR for a good two years on my Rift S with a i7 processor and a RTX 2060 graphics card and it runs like garbage, even taking into account the low refresh rate of the headset 80Hz native and 40Hz reprojected.

I had to run the lowest settings, no shadows, opponent cars limited to six ahead and two behind, locked at 40fps reprojected to 80fps, and it was still an ugly, blurry mess. Loads of fun, though!

EA WRC uses the same engine so I wouldn't hold my breath for it to arrive on PSVR2.

Just about the AI, I get left for dead. I run it that high because, I don’t want to be racing for first…. at all! ;)

Im under the assumption that gt7 will probably be the only vr racing game for ps5 for a while.

Does anyone known of psvr1 had more than just gtsport for vr racing

Unfortunately GTRRevival aleo runs on UE engine, and AC2 i doubt they will make an extra effort for PSVR2… The only hope is F1 game if they keep Ego engine…

Too bad we can’t get Dirt Rally 2 in VR…

Man did the Manufacturer Cup race at the 24HNur(GT1) in VR… It was truly amazing!! There is nothing topping this sensation in my opinion… I can’t talk about CPU sims but on a console there is nothing like GT7 in my opinion! I hope you gave it a try!

Best experience ever, and first time I enjoy rain! Placed 4th in my GT2 slot, 3rd, 4th and 5th crossing the line together just miliseconds apart. Congratulations on your podium!
