I'm starting to think mine isn't coming today. It's still waiting to be picked up. And the snow storm isn't even that bad.
Mine is now out for delivery after sitting in our local office for three hours "Processing". We got a huge blast of 6" of snow in one hour this morning, around the time that UPS normally begins delivery service, and I honestly thought it was a lost cause, but now that things have tapered off (for now) it looks like it might arrive soon. Hopefully you get yours, too.

Try adjust the IPD, it affects the virtual world scale you feel.
I had been thinking this might impact it, I will have a play later this evening.

It matched up nicely on the set-up screen but there is a decent amount of adjustment whereby my pupils still say cleanly within the circular areas so will see what I find.

EDIT:

One other observation, I didn't even notice the headset vibration, I'm unsure if it happens other than on wall collisions? I do have the vibration set low in game because of how that interacts with the G Pro wheel, so possibly some tuning to do there.

Like others, the status of my order was not updated/accurate, a bit dismayed resorting to expecting it by Friday
Yet mine did arrive in little ole Northern Ireland today...

I have had an original Oculus in the past but not done VR in about 2-3 years
Yes this is much better. The initial wow factor of being in the car makes a huge change to playing/enjoying and experiencing the game. it really is rather fantastic.

I am using INZONE H7 which fits fine with the headset and while it takes a bit of time to get used to the headset, the comfort is superb.

Initial First Impressions:

I can agree with many of the positive user impressions given, about how amazing VR can be.
Although I have only done a few races so far.

Grumbles:
Screen-wise, there is some noticeable fine grain, (adjusting the EV helped slightly but then the bright sun etc is too much).

Following what some others also mentioned, I agree the area to move needs to be a bit larger, it's just too restrictive and spoils the immersion by having a big grid appear.

I can answer this. And the answer is yes, well sort of.

The problem with GT is the pre race into in offline races. Where you get that countdown and the camera pans around the car.
This view needs to go imo, never liked it anyway. We need a view where you’re sat in the car before the race starts.

The problem now is that immediately after that camera pan the race or time trial or whatever starts. So if your position is screwed up you either pause the game and adjust or do it whilst driving which is obviously not ideal.

To adjust your view you need to recalibrate the headset which is done by holding down the option button. This re-centres your view at any time whilst wearing the headset. In or out of GT.
So if you’re too far forward you need to lean forward whilst recalibrating or if you’re too low down you need to sit lower whilst recalibrating.
Once done your view should be so that your head is right where the avatar head is. If you look down you can see your avatar’s chest right where yours would be.

Sounds weird I know but it does allow you to get the perfect driving position.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. You too @Sturdy.

That’s reassuring. PSVR2 is officially on my wish list.

Expecting my psvr2 tomorrow. PS Trophy + Logitech GPRO setup here 2. Are you using the recommended Logitech settings? How is the total experience of the package?

Pretty amazing... did Spa first... had to park the car it was so overwhelming.

Now taking a break as my stomach went weird. As others say, hard to find the sweet spot and the strap was hitting my Playseat too. Also I could see some grain over the image (screen pixels?) although not noticeable most of the time.

Incredible to experience and will see if I can iron out the issues, Kayaking next...

Try fixing your eyes in a forward position and only looking with your head. That solved VR sickness for me completely.

So I just tried a 2nd time - went in a Mazda Mx5 around Tsukuba (time trial). When I started I set a 5 minute timer on my phone.
I went really slowly, but still every corner I could feel my stomach not liking it.
I stopped before the 5 minutes were over to protect myself from full motion sickness.

This will be a very very long way

If you haven't used VR before, I'd recommend putting a towel down as you're going to pee yourself with joy and make a mess of that nice new Playseat

I expect you are going to love it. The integration between the two (PSVR2 and GT7) is properly done, it's seamless and you can do the whole thing just using the PSVR2.

I'm not on the recommended settings, I've ended up with a high FFB Filter value because I didn't like the "understeer vibration" that happened and the high filter tuned it out.

There are a couple of things that could be slicker, currently with a high FFB filter setting you get some vibration build up in the wheel that needs a wheel restart to remove. And then when first turning the wheel on GT7 recognises it and forces the FFB settings and 900* angle etc meaning you have to quickly re-set them all again. This doesn't take very long, but it's not very slick.

The pass through camera on the PSVR2 doesn't quite have the resolution that you'll be able to read the screen on the wheel so you may end up getting your profile settings sorted in flat screen mode first. You can make out what's on the screen, but not in fine detail in terms of reading the numbers exactly.

There is a real sense of feeling the car around you and how the body is moving, it's hard to describe (I've said that a lot!) but for me it's a real joy, there is that very natural "seat of the pants" sensation that you get from a real car when the back end starts to step out that I feel is so much better communicated in VR because you get the visual cue of the whole car beginning to rotate in incredible accuracy, it feels a lot more comfortable and natural letting the car slide a little.

It's a fantastic combination that desperately needs a quality H-pattern shifter, the TH8A even would be bliss.

Wal-Mart is still telling me that it hasn't been sent out yet but it's still expected today.

However, the app AfterShip is telling me that it's now expected to arrive tomorrow. Confusing. I don't know who to trust.

And the money has now been taken out of my account, which is a good sign.

Oh boy, they did it again !!! The camera is locked to the horizon like GT Sport with PSVR1 ☹️

I wanted to order mine but this detail could ruin the experience for me because it is totally unnatural (we are not chicken PD) and it can bring a lot of motion sickness.

I have a (really) small hope they will add an option to lock the view to the car....
I must say I watched this conversation earlier with very little understanding of how lock to horizon vs lock to car impacts the experience. I have enjoyed 3 hours and nothing has seemed off to me. Equally, I enjoyed PSVR1 without any issues. However, I went to try and better my time on the current time trial at Daytona and when I hit the banking, that was the first time I thought things themed rather odd. The car tilted to the angle of the banking, yet my head remained straight. Giving the impression that my virtual self is bent in the middle of my torso. I am not actually sure if the alternative lock to car would resolve this. My understanding of the differences is still limited despite having a video to demonstrate which you shared earlier. Unless I actually experience it, I am finding it difficult to visualise how each works. Other than this everything else feels natural to me.

you can change it in the settings. Controller/vibration function. collisions only or collisions and impacts or off

Just did a first lap around the Nordschleife in a Radical, and thought I'd share my experience here:

Wearing Comfort:
The headset is quite comfortable to wear, slightly better than the original PSVR. Lighter than I expected it to be. Still, it's quite tight around your head, so it will never be 100% comfortable. No issues with light coming into the headset. Lenses did not fog up, which was a major issue on the original PSVR for me.

Comfort (nausea etc):
It has been a while since I played anything in VR (over a year), and usually after a long time without, I am quite sensitive to feeling very uncomfortable for the first few hours. Here however, it was not too bad. I developed a very mild headache, but that faded quite quickly. After my session I feel slightly uncomfortable, but nothing too serious. Feels like this will disappear completely once I get used to playing in VR again.
(To be fair, I was already not feeling the greatest this morning, so it might even just be that)

Image quality (headset):
The resolution of the headset is great. The HDR is bright and delivers great contrast. The lenses are not that good though. The edges of the screen get a bit blurry, and I see quite a bit of chromatic abberation. Better than most other headsets I've tried, but still room to grow there.
Field of view is great though. The edges of your vision are still visible, but it feels similar to wearing a helmet. Compared to PSVR1, a major improvement, even if it is only a few degrees.
Tracking seems pretty accurate, no issues so far.

Image quality (GT7):
The good:
GT7 always looked good, and it still looks good in VR. Looking around the car everything is very detailed. The track details look great (at least close to the road). The effects of foveated rendering are invisible to me, everything looks like it is at full resolution. You can see your avatars body move with you if you move your head. If there are shiny surfaces in your car, you can even see the reflection of your helmet move!

The bad:
Shadow quality is not great. You can see the detailed shadows pop in just meters ahead of the car, and it's quite obvious. Trackside details further from the track (at least on the Nurburgring) are visibly low quality. Not something I'd pay a lot of attention to, but there are some places where it is hard to miss.
Mirrors don't change their view if you move your head.

General points (GT7):
Locking the view to horizon is forced on, it would be better as a toggle so that it can be turned off.
It would be nice if there was a way to move your seating position in the car (other than resetting the tracking while bending in a weird way, and hoping you hit that sweet spot) as my head was nearly in the steering wheel in the Radical.
Replays default to 2D (there is a VR replay option afterwards though). VR replays stick you on a fixed position for too long, and only switch to the next position long after your car has passed.
More 3D in the menus would be nice, as they are now all 2D.

Overall:
Pretty great experience, but a few small points in the game where improvements can still be made. Headset itself is good and high quality, but not perfect.

Edit: Small note, I did not get to play with a wheel, only with a Dualsense for now (as I'm currently sitting at home with a broken ankle 😅). Playing with a wheel should still increase the immersion quite a bit

Please report back and compare Kayak to GT7, as I also want Kayak for my kids.
Much more chilled and slow paced... and no hills! Fun to use the paddle. Definitely the one I will be sharing first with the wife and son.

Still made me feel weird after 10 minutes, going to be short sessions for me atm. Found some chewing gum (as recommended in Jordan's article) afterwards and the feeling went away quicker this time.

The showroom VR is a real highlight. GT Auto is so cool. Even down to oil stains on the floor. In fact they’re all amazing locations.
I created a 458 GT3 livery this morning whilst waiting for my headset and being able to see it on the car in full scale is quite something.
It’s an amazing experience just being able to walk around a view the cars.

Whilst the visual immersion is fantastic for PSVR2, the earbuds let it down a little, but for the price you can't grumble. Just adding a decent set of headphones with the volume turned up will make a big difference :)

Anyone found a way to customize the HUD? Its impossible to play competitively with the default VR hud. When you are in the pit you get full information so its not a technical limitation.

I got a set of KZ DQ6 to go with my PSVR2

Showroom is mind blowing. I was browsing around menus after putting on headset, then choose the m4. Noticed VR garage option after selecting it, chose one of the garages and bam, 1st experience of vr.... suddenly in this garage as if I was actually there. Detail is incredible. Went inside car and pretty much spot on... as I have m3 f80 IRL.

Really is incredible. Graphics/clarity not quite as sharp as decent 4k tv, but being totally immersed when driving more than makes up for it. You can look to your side and see passenger seat, seatbelts, every bit of detail. Turn behind you and see rear seat and outside window etc.

I took AR GTAm to Grand Valley (which was okish), then to Nordschleife, before hoping into the Challenger Z1 89 and hot lapping laguna seca. The sound in the z1, and nice bit of oversteer in the vr was simply phenomenol.

And can comfirm cockpit mode is finally totally useable. Being able to look around subtly helps ten-fold with spatial awareness and judgement. You feel much closer to how you do actually driving a car, so feels much more natural imo, rather than learning to drive differently within a game, much more carry over from real life imo. ... much more 'i'm actually in a car' rather than 'i'm driving a car in a game on a tv screen'. Your brain defo feels that, as drops, jumps on circuits actually makes your stomach go funny, as it does IRL.
No more confusion, hoping for the best with some turns (unless I knew circuit really well). Little reason why you wouldn;t want to use cockpit in vr in my opinion... not that theres a choice anyway! This really is a whole new level to things!

Great. DPD tried to deliver my headset today and I was asleep. Bloody marvelous.
I had to go pick it up from a drop off point.

After setting it up, I did two races. The first on the BRZ GT300 at Le Mans. That was nice but the sense of speed was not there. Happily I could see through the screen of the car properly and was happy to see that I set a competitive lap time to normal. Then I got in the GR010 for the one hour race at Spa. I won that as well. I don't know how as I was massively off the pace without the headset.

No dodgy stomach to report.

I didn't even consider this notion!
Shameless plug: if you're interested in a PSVR2 themed livery for a Gr3 RCF, hashtag PSVR2 in the search bar. ;)

Pre ordered mine last night. Arrives at 3pm today. UK.

It's incredible. Just tried mount panorama into a night cycle. Wow. I felt my stomach go at the top of the hill and at night is incredibly immersive.

I'm blown away.

I notice LOD pop in way more but the immersion just completely trumps everything.

Once major annoyance is head positioning in the drivers seat. It's always off on each race. I'm constantly resetting the view position.
