And for me personally, the “lack of content” is very subjective. I have gotten tremendous replay value out of all the events
Lmao if we follow this logic, it's possible to imagine a game with a single track, a single car, and a single 1-lap time trial event in which some player in the world could argue "it has a lot of content because I haven't put the controller down".

But anywho, now I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing lmao. You've implied that what we even define as subjective, is itself subjective. Now I disagree with this on a fundamental level; it's paradoxical. For the sake of civility, however, I'm willing to agree to these terms  hahaha

I do, to an extent, know what you're saying though. For me it was the Le Mans and Spa 24hr events. ****ing fantastic racing with the pit strategy that comes into play, which didn't really exist previously. The raw quality of this style of event was outstanding. Got a garage full of different cars tuned specifically for these two events. They inspire time investment and reward with a sense of achievement.

We defo need a full on tuners online sprint, not sure why they don’t unless it’s a cheat thing going on, when it first came out there was an tuned online race with the mini - great racing for a week

What tires are you on ?

Hard. I’m gonna have to pit on lap 6.

They’ve also most definitely changed something about TC and the front end feels very different. Oversteer on corner entry and understeer mid corner. I’m gonna have to adjust. And pit a lot.

I got mine. I’m guessing everyone will get one.

Oh no.

New update and another proof that there is no interest in single player content. It's only about buying new cars which they add in updates for a complete collection and not about driving or racing them at all. Buy them through mtx and then wait until the next update. And they are already planning to raise their prices. Virtual matchbox collection, not driving simulator. Because if you want to earn credits by racing and playing the game, you have to keep playing the same events since the release, which gets boring very fast. And in the future, when car prices will rise even more, even the Le Mans or Sardegna event will probably not be enough. 😞

Like the new content, especially cool to have MP4/4. I also like adding circuit variations to enrich locations. The Rallycross circuit addition adds something different. A good monthly update for me.

So yes, “lack of content” is a highly subjective term.
No, it really isn't. Content is the sum of "things" in another thing. Pages in a book, sausages in a packet, races in a game. If one game has 200 races and another has 50, the latter absolutely, objectively has less content.

What IS subjective how much each person gets out of any given content, yes, which I assume is what you mean. Someone who eats small portions can get more days out of a small box of cereal compared to a family of 8 eating the same box, but the box is still factually smaller than a large box of cereal, it lacks content.

So yes, you may personally get a lot out of the content in GT7, but it's 100% objectively lacking in content compared to other GT games. If you want to, you could add the unique qualifier, "lack of unique content", but it's really not necessary.

Honestly, I'm kinda surprised about updates in GT7. Have nothing really to complain, I'm really enjoying the game, still far away from buying even my most wanted cars and also far from completing all menus and missions, but still those updates surprise me.

Alright, they slowed down on cars/tracks content in GT7, comparing to GTS, and slowed down quite a lot, but I can at least kinda come up with an explanation for this (which is them purposely holding back on some of it so they can support GT7 longer and still have plenty of new stuff to release for GT8). What is really surprising me is what is happening with the rest of content, like new events and missions, features and all that. Of course, we know nothing about how the game coded and maybe it's really hard to implement something like car selling (which I personally can't care less about, honestly, but it is a very suggested feature and PD aknowledged it many months ago; though I can imagine PD may go their way and instead of just adding a simple button they are trying to do something more complex, but either way I don't expect selling cars to be any profitable, considering the history), but I really find it hard to believe adding new events requires much more than some imagination to come up with a name and restrictions, and maybe draw a logo for it. And doing that thing alone would give them much less bad feedback. So yeah, I'm surprised they are not adding much more events and other smaller stuff.

Considering racing games are being delisted from stores left and right nowadays due to expiring licenses, I don't see how GT7 can possibly be surported for longer than GTS when 99% of the car list (and I would assume the licenses for them) was ported straight over.

As far i know GTS is still active , only Forza 7 was delisted recently and now Project Cars 1/2 will be

So we won't know if selling cars is part of the update until then.
So, the neverending story.. never ends. The changelog is here, its nothing of substance. Not a single main issue of the game has been adressed. For the sake of completeness:

  • Lobbies are lagging, often races cant be started
  • Cars cant be sold
  • BOP is broken
  • penalty system is broken

I am looking forward to read what great imaginative reasoning you will deliver this time. Your last one "cHaNgE lOg iSnT hErE" didnt hold up for even 24h.

What's your point? It's still valid to remind people that we don't know what's in an update until the patch notes are available. Yes, update is disappointing, but that doesn't mean people are psychic when they're claiming we're not getting car selling yesterday??

AKA: "Now that I have hindsight, others have no excuse for not possessing foresight"
