Despite not carrying financial concerns in game, I still tend to wait a couple of days and see what still retains lustre in my eyes. Unless the car is a proper fit for a particular collection, in which case how it drives, etc may not be important to me anyway.

Very sound and reasonable advice.

With that in mind, is the hangar a sound investment. I've heard that it's really not good for much besides, quite literally, storing aircraft.

I quite enjoy having a hanger, very glad I purchased it. It is not an efficient profit maker, though. I enjoy the hanger sourcing missions as a change of pace from the more profitable grinding. I’ll run a couple missions while waiting for I/E cool downs or waiting for friends to show up for bunker sales and it eventually shows profit, though small in comparison to the other businesses. Those missions have also greatly improved my flying ability. I use the PV aircraft quite often during all forms of gameplay.

It is as you described. The crate missions, while I find to be perhaps the most fun missions of that type in the game, are not profitable. Even the discounts are so-so in the time value equation, unless you plan on buying all or most of the new stuff.

So yes, the hangar is useful only as an aircraft storage facility and additional hangout/tv to idle to.

Edit: Mudd replied in some greater detail while I was typing; I as well greatly enjoy my hangar, and I bought every fixed wing craft from that update. There hasn't been an update since the Yachts that I have personally been more fond of, however I didn't want to beat that drum too loudly as the hangar does provide little to no strategic benefit(PV aircraft is about it) and I know that my personal playing style is generally not found amongst others here. In short, I love it but it provides no real benefits to me other than fun with toys.

Stop bragging.

Save up for the Cheburek instead, only 145k
I've been wondering for a while now, since you do this elsewhere on GTP as well; what, to your mind, does the line through the text signify? No objections, mind you, I just suspect knowing your motivation when doing it will help me (and perhaps others) to understand points you're trying to get across.

To me, it seems like their way of showing sarcasm. Some use italics, others type “/s” at the end of their posts, and CSMDuty11 uses strikethrough.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"Fixed an issue that caused collision problems with several vehicles added with the Lowriders update."

Can anyone test the Faction to see if it's been fixed? This could be the biggest change for me in this update.

"Ongoing improvements have been made in GTA Online to prevent crashes, improve the quality of matchmaking, and reduce the number of network connection issues such as disconnections and split sessions."

Can someone test to determine if this prevents firewall rules from creating private public lobbies?

Can't play until Saturday....

That's one consideration I have, another is using it as a spoiler to denote unimportance: "I want to say this without it leading to off-topic discussion."

So much for that. :P

I've done a quick test with the Faction Custom - no collision issues that can't be explained by logic. Took 'em long enough.

And yes, in case you're wondering, as of right now, doing 5-lap races by yourself will count towards having participated in 20 Hotring races. So guess who's just unlocked all the liveries?

Do I need to own a Hotring to unlock the liveries? I know that I can participate in events without owning one.

Just rested a bone Stock Faction and it still crashes over kerbs

Very happy to hear the Faction is useable now, as that is my daily driver in real life and my in game version has spent most of its time in the garage.

The bit about streamlining matchmaking is included in every update. In the past, private public sessions can be more more difficult to keep and maintain after an update(which spawns all the omgwtftheypatchedsololobbies crap on that other forum) but so far they've been unable to patch it. Other than altering the matchmaking to allow terrible connections to match with others, I don't see them patching it successfully. If they were to do that, the complaints from the mainstream player base would be overwhelming due to the numerous adverse effects.

So I've just had a race at Trenchaway. The concept of it reminds me quite heavily of demolition derby from Grid. To the point where I'm fairly certain I saw someone perform an aerial overtake and I managed to clip at least three cars coming from the other direction.

I ain't even mad. This is good, silly fun. Especially in a good lobby.

Edit: Had another at the Sandy Shores one. Quite messy, but only .008 seconds off victory in the end.

Edit: AND ANOTHER at Vespucci - .05 seconds, four wide across the finish line.

By nature, ovals as tracks are quite boring - but this kind of racing does produce some moments!

.008 seconds off? That's basically a landslide...

I‘m still terribly mad at the „catch up“ thing that‘s enabled in every fckn race lobby. Others crash themselves off, I get a 10 second lead only to be able to reach half the speed of the guy behind on the next straight 🤬 It‘s pure luck if you win or not with these races, got stolen 3 wins by it today
Other than that I had some close and (kinda) fair races, good fun. Also it‘s a huge advantage of the car that it seems to weight 10 tons as it‘s almost impossible to spin out others unless you apply brute force 👍

EDIT: Why do hookers not like my Volvo? :(

In a straight line, it doesn't.
Racing with turns is where it seems to get a disadvantage.

I've read that it takes turns better than a Pfister.

We've seen pictures of the Cheburek. But we haven't had pictures of the rest.

Issi Classic will be mine. I don't play very often anymore but have always thought there should be a car like an old mini.

Shame the tightarses at Rockstar don't put the cars into SP anymore.

I wonder how well it will perform compared to the modern Issi. Hopefully it will have sharp handling for more technical tracks and everyday driving.

I mean, datafile leaks say that it has 0.3 offroad traction loss so it'll atleast probably be surperior in off-road races
...And heck, while there are no performance tests with the unreleased cars yet, according to the FoxySnaps customization video you can also make it into just about anything that somewhat looks like a classic Mini.

Is it me, or does the XXR look like they used the original Entity's geometry model as a base and modified it from there?
They did it with the Comet SR so I wouldn't be surprised.

Also, @Ken just saw your edit, and I regret to inform everyone that the 4x4 Caracara is a mod, you can only get the 6x6 with a gun in vanilla.
Same for the wheels of the new Dominator, but everything else should be possible ingame.
