I hope they do another Independence Day update for GTA Online this year, do you guys remember it?
Beer hats, monster trucks, fireworks, last year was awesome, round 2 please!
And the musket is my absolute favorite weapon in the game.
I love the musket. I just wish you could see further with it, since it basically acts as a single-shot sniper rifle, but with a long reload time where you can't switch weapons.
I forget the exact numbers, but the Z-Type's top speed is 125-point-something MPH and the Adder is a fraction slower than that.
I'm sorry, but that is hilarious.I was literally just minding my own business and two scrubs in a pink cargo plane swoop down and kamikaze me...

Didn't R* say they would in New Gen/PC but never happened? Was one of the reasons I got it for PS4.

I don't understand why they left that one out. We all know that the 747 is essentially an afterthought, seeing how incomplete it is. It's also weird that we were never able to fly the Twinjet in singleplayer either. They're just boring static props.

Rockstar is waiting for Part 2 of the most recent update to include the new Gold Edition 747 playable online at a cost of *only* $55 million.

That is one of the reasons I didn't buy the Luxor; the unknown other half of that update. What solidified my decision was when I found that if you drink in the back of the Luxor and then attempt to fly it or drive another vehicle the game kills your buzz immediately. Drink beer outside the jet, jump in the pilot's seat; and the game lets you fly as it always has. I'm not sure why they created an additional script just to remove the effects of the champagne in the new aircraft when you attempt to operate any vehicles. My intent was to use it as a travelling bar that I could land anywhere, hop in the back for a few, and then carry on my way. R* Killed that intent. If there was more than one bar in the game where you could buy a drink it wouldn't have been of much interest but between that and limiting beer inventory to 10 is a buzzkill.

One of the reasons I got a PS4 was to get the new vehicles, play with 747's online and all the other really cool stuff that was available for PS4 & next gen, until I played, and realised that practically everything I wanted was only unlockable if you use your PS3 account on the PS4...

An independence day special doing actually bring up a dilemma as it would be around then that I'd reach my 1,350,000 target to buy an insurgent but with a limited time offer of a monster truck thrown in I wouldn't know which to blow it on.
Also is anyone else doing the daily challenges. I'm going for the 28 day accumulation bonus. If anyone plays at around 20:00-00:00BST and wants to team up to make them easier then PM me.

You get an extra $500k (I think it's 500k at least) for doing all the daily objectives for one month (or it might just be 28 days). That's $1.6 mil if you take into account the weekly bonuses + 25k per day.

I like the payout from dailies, I just wish the objectives weren't sometimes really annoying... tennis is the absolute worst. Boring minigame that lags like hell, takes an age to complete since the minimum is 1 full set, and can't be played solo at all which means you either have to find a friend or a random to do it with. And if one of you disconnects or decides to quit then the objective isn't completed. I've chosen not to do dailies a couple of times simply because tennis was on the list (I wasn't going to get the monthly objective at the time anyway so)
