No, I get in my car, use it, put it back when I am done. I have already agreed that in missions they do indeed disappear.

That's what I've been saying all along. That is why I think customizable cars are a waste of time. And I have already linked proof that others have experienced cars disappearing from their safehouses. You're really just arguing the toss right now.

I initially accepted that you didn't have any source, but I am going do guess this 'houser' didn't really exist.

You expect me to link an interview that I read in a magazine almost a decade ago? In my 4, 500 odd posts at GTP, I have never once posted a lie. Do you honestly think I'm going to start lying now?

This is now way off topic, so please if you reply keep it on topic from now on.

You're not a moderator. Don't act like one.

No, you said you used the save car function, I use it, others in this thread use it. I read what is written.

I never claimed that I didn't use it.

Yes they were my words as if they left it out due to cars disappearing that would be due to bad programming.

But I never implied that they left it out for that reason. I simply stated that in order to make it worthwhile (IMHO) they would have to fix the documented issue of cars disappearing.

Yes you also said the reason they left out more customisation is because nobody keeps cars.

Look. It's something I read in a magazine years ago. I have no proof of that. Do you keep all your game magazines lying around? I moved to the other side of the world, and even before that, that magazine was long gone. At the end of the day, I read it and I stand by that. However, I am not suggesting that you take this as proof, because I have no way of finding the magazine. Either believe an irrelevant snippet of information or disregard. But do not call me a liar.

The rest sounds great though, although not being able to buy property is a slight downer.

I'm sure the game will give you access to several properties.

I love the 3 characters concept, if they can pull it off that is.

And no property doesn't bother me, 'Michael' has a big house according to the preview anyway.

@F1, Drop it, I am not having the discussion with you anymore.

On Topic.
Almost don't want to read it all. Sounds great, just wish I didn't have to wait until March. It will be so good to be able to just cruise round off road again. Having only one property may be a bit of a pain in such a big map, but I'll cope. Too many spoils it too.

Probably going to be closer to May than March.

Not sure why I put March, probably just in my head as I was thinking spring. Kind of expecting april as iirc that was when IV was released? April or May though doesn't really matter, until that last few weeks which will be painful.

Well i'm just being pessimistic really so I don't get excited expecting it in March and it arrives two months later.

Hallelujah.

I wouldn't start making bets on the release date. :sly:

Heh don't worry, I'm not one to make actual bets I won't stand by.

The only way I can see this game not being one of the greatest games of all time is if the 3 character thing spoils it, I have a feeling it will improve the game though as long as switching between characters doesn't disturb the free roaming. For example what if I'm being chased by the police and I am low on ammo? could I switch to a character with more ammo and no wanted status? :odd:

I'm sure the game will give you access to several properties.

Probably, 3 characters could easily have 6 or 7 houses between them.

EDIT: Someone has scanned the magazine and uploaded images to youtube, you probably want to turn up the resolution on the video ;)

Los Santos is bigger than RDR, GTA IV and San Andreas combined.

That's all I needed to read,

th

Wonder if you can just steal houses.

"It's mine now, get out!" :sly:

👍

It all sounds fantastic except I am not totally sure about 3 playable characters. Besides that, wow this could very well blow GTA SA out of the water.

Is the 2nd trailer (14/11/12) date confirmed? Or is that speculation?

And a note to PD, you can release GT6 anytime between now and Spring 2013. Otherwise save her for the PS4 as I'll be to wrapped up with this (here's hoping it lives up to expectation) and your "new" game wont get a look in :D

Date confirmed by Rockstar.

Nice one, looking forward to it.

Also about the properties, just because they say you wont be able to buy any I doubt each character will have just the one. In gta4 you had 4 although one was taken from you, maybe they will go down that route.

I see a divorce in the story line already.

Maybe you will be able to use hotels/motels to save

I seen some different pictures in this link so decided to post it :). Also a few bits of extra info..

No girlfriends but there are regular friends/family for each protag:
Lamar: crazy friend of Franklin
Amanda: Michael's wife in a rocky relationship
Jimmy: Michael's pothead son
Ron: Trevor's paranoid neighbor

Near the middle there is a one of a Sanchez and a nice looking Mustang :D.

Bit worried about the 3 protagonists, but I'll wait till I play it before deciding I don't like it. I'm sure R* have thought it through, they don't leave half assed features in their games. Improved car handling and a fully explorable Mt Chiliad sound good too

Looks and sounds fantastic! The idea of having three playable characters is however alien to me in a GTA game, but as said, I too am sure that Rockstar has thought it through. Can't wait.

Am i the only intrested in the realistic car physics? Or did I just see things?

Nope, they said they have update the driving physics and as it almost feels like racing game. :D:tup:

When this game comes out, I won't need any other. It's going to be so epic if R* will manege to pull this three-character thing, which I believe they will.

Honestly, I'm not wildly impressed by the three new characters. They're just ... not interesting. It's nice that they've broken out of the "trying to escape the life" mold established with CJ and Niko, but each of the protagonists seems to be missing something. You could easily merge any two of them together to create someone much more interesting.

Me too.

That was what they kept on harping on about with GTASA compared to VC. What it turned out to be was a two-thirds empty map (some parts of which had one mission or one driving challenge in them, becoming empty once you'd completed them) and a poor game.

It was a big selling point for GTAV too. Apparently that time it meant "we've put pigeons out the back of beyond, so you have to visit places you don't really get near in the rest of the game" - and a poor game.

Bigger isn't better. Bigger is bigger - and unless they've filled the map with things to actually do, bigger is more time spent getting to places. Rockstar's track record of making things bigger is exactly that.

The trio of protagonists seems to be intended to address that, at least partially. Each of the three live quite some distance from one another, and while their stories all intersect at some point, they also all have their own story arcs, which will likely be concentrated on their home neighbourhoods. I'm guessing you may even be able to play the entire game as any one of the three characters without encountering any of the other two, or only having minimal contact with them. And for people who quickly settle on one character and play as that character almost exclusively, it's possible the outcomes of certain events in the over-arching stoyline might be changed based on how much progress the player has made into each character's individual storyline.

The idea being splitting them up seems to be to get the player to explore more of the world around them, and sooner.

Actually, I think the characters are meant to be together in missions a lot. The idea is to switch between them during the mission to tackle different parts, like the driving or the shooting.
