Yep they patched it. The game just drops off to a endless loading screen upon joining your friends invite-only session.

I think they patched it less because 'we can make money off of this' and more because 'you're not meant to go here in MP and we have no idea if save data could get corrupted if someone was forced to save and quit in the area'.

After mobbin around for an hour I managed to get ahold of a sultan, it's not fast and the handling kinda sucks, but I'm stoked to have a Subaru type of rally car. I drove around red wood track to test it, figured that's the best type of rally style course and it was pretty fun....we should do a rally car meet sometime and do the whole map

Tried making a game of soccer but I nothing really could be a ball except a barrel and I ended up makin a demo at the soccer field but gonna make one again with trucks and a prius as the ball

We wouldn't mind at all, James, but we usually use "closed crew sessions" for off roading so we don't have to worry about being attacked. Joining the crew is easy, just go to http://socialclub.rockstargames.com to register and then do a crew search for Los Santos 4x4s. Or once you've registered on the social club, just provide us with your social club name and we'll send you an invite. 👍

Naah! The sultan is awesome! Maybe you should mod it a little. It's not the fastest of its class (sports) and if you compare it to the other sports cars, then of course it is a delusion. It's fast compared to the other sedans, even those in the coupe class (except maybe the Exemplar).

But it's the only real 4wd car not for off road in the game, with 40/60 power distribution (the others have 80/20), and when the weather comes in, you really feel it. For example: I'm not a good racer, but I'm racing with a racing crew. I'm always in the last places at arrival. On Xmas day, with the snow, I decided to race the Sultan, while all the other guys sticked to Feltzers, Carbonizzare, Comets etc.. I started winning races very easily, and they all switched to the Sultan. ;-) (racing with stock cars)

I climbed Chiliad and Gordo with it no problem, and that was mildly tuned.
So happy this truck is making a comeback. Hopefully the clean Rebel follows suit. 👍

Has anyone tried doing this before?
You can hit the ball off the roof by hitting it with a melee weapon like a baseball bat for example. I parked the Sandking up on the stairs and it should roll into the truck bed if you have the stock chassis equipped.

The ball acts really heavy and pushes the back suspension down a lot... The ball will stay in the truck bed if you keep it on level ground but will fall out when it's uneven.

Alright guys, here are the details regarding Sunday's meet.

The must-know stuff:
-Meet at 3pm EST (unless you guys want to do 4pm EST)
-Lifted vehicles only (Merryweather Mesa, Sandking, Rebel, etc.)
-Passive mode WILL be required. If you have a bounty on your head, me or @ZDUPH will take care of it. Please, do not retaliate. Doing so will get you kicked from the room, and crew.
-Absolutely no helicopters. If you insist on flying to the meet, then calling your mechanic, PLEASE land your helicopter away from the meeting point and traffic. And please don't blow it up either...it's not 4th of July.
-Try and stay together. I know, some of us will get seperated if we do a steep trail. But do your best to stay in a pack. If you get stuck, let us know. If you do not have a headset, you can assume the person behind you will give you a push (and that's fine).
-We will be going slow for the most part. Unless it's a steep trail or crossing a river, then some power will be required.
-We will also be stopping for pictures a few times. Behave yourselves. You are encouraged, however not required to, get out, walk around, admire the view, look at everyone elses cars, eat a snack, smoke a cig, drink some beer, take pictures...whatever. As long as it does not involve guns, weapons, fists, or pushing cars (unless someone is stuck).

Now, with that out of the way, here are the trails.

Trail 1. Same trail we did with the Sandking meet, only this time we will branch off and do the yellow portion.

Trail 2. We did this one last week. But alot of you said it would be better suited for lifted vehicles. After we reach the top, we will go down the east side of Chiliad.

Trail 3. For the first time ever, we will be blazing our own trail. It will be in this general area, around Sandy Shores and Trevor's Airfield. The terrain is perfect for our lifted vehicles.

Also...after our meet, I thought we could do drag races at Trevor's airfield in our trucks, to see who is fastest. We will be nearby when we're done. You are welcome to come, but not required to.

I should be able to make the meet Sunday seeing as I don't have work, but maybe we could have an unofficial meet Friday or Saturday night for the people who won't be able to? Same rules and all, if anyone would want to do this / would be interested I'm sure we could work something out.

Besides, I don't know about you guys but I'd love to have organized off-roading meets more than once a week 👍
