Like a Landcruiser Or Nissan Patrol or Jeep Cherokee or Range Rover

As can all of those - the first and last being so adept at it they're used in countries that have no actual roads.

So what the point of being an SUV

SUVs are family cars that look like 4x4s and can occasionally be used as one, if it snows heavily or there's some reasonable flooding.

No it's not. It's built on the Volvo P2 platform - like the Volvo S80, V70 and XC70. It's very similar to the Ford D3 platform, used for the Taurus and Lincoln MKS. There's no Volkswagen anywhere in it.

Cool because I drive a Volvo myself. And I have driven this and I can say its a fairly nice ride.

What's that got to do with coolness. Think of it like this, TopGear Cool Wall. Coolness has got nothing to do with what the car is like to drive, or looks, or build quality or anything like that. Yes? And anyways it's uncool.

It's a typical Volvo. It's boring! I always think when here Volvo is: boring, dull, bad drivers, beige.

I would, if I were to find myself in the market for anything they build. I'd be more inclined to ask who wouldn't want a Volvo. (Although I certainly wouldn't buy an XC90, if I were in the market for one of those I'd either go the Land Rover or Toyota route. A C30, however...)

The excursion gets 16/22 with the 5.4. My school uses one for transportation a got that. It's really only a F250 with a cap and seats. If you think that's bad, well my pickup gets 3mpg.

Thats just from taking it on trips at school. With it fully loaded it gets closer to 9 but its hauling a lot of people.
