GTP Exhaust + Car best Combo's

Personal favourites include,,,

Volvo S60 T5 Sport - Sports Exhaust. Very base-of-the-throat warble when you get into the redline.
Alfa Romeo 8C - Sports Exhaust. Similar to a Lamborghini's notes.
Toyota Supra RZ - Titanium Racing Exhaust. An angry, aggressive note that sounds amazing.
Toyota Supra SZ-R - Sports Exhaust. Another throaty warbler, really nice.
Oullim Spirra - Titanium Racing Exhaust. For that authentic (Korean) Ferrari sound! (or the semi-racing for that authentic (Korean) German V8 sound)

Feel free to tell me these are rubbish, but I like them >:0)

Ok, everyone. Here a couple of cars I've tested one by one to hear which exhaust is more accurate.

I've been as objective as possible and won't suggest which one you should use. This was strictly done just as a study to see which cars sound closer to what they should sound in real life. This will be useful as a guide for those (like me) who want their cars sounding as the engine they have, no mattering if they sound loud or not.

This is first part of my premium garage. Later I'll post the rest as well as the standards.

If an Alfa Romeo 8C (with a V8 engine) with a sports exhaust sound like a Lamborghini, then something is DEFINITELY wrong...

I'd keep the 8C stock.

That is Agreeable I wont lie.. I like the sound of both, I will allow debate before I edit it on the OP.. Huge thanks to Husky either way 👍

You're welcome. I'll keep working on this tomorrow. I hope we'll reach the 1000+ cars someday. And I'll take out the recommended thing...

Thank you so much for your hard work there Husky! 👍
That must've taken a lot of time to sum those sounds up.
And huge thumbs up for this thread!
I hope this thread would get stickied some day! ;)

Oullim Motors Spirra 4.6 V8 '04 has one of the best sounding exhaust in the game, so, if you do manage to find one, leave the exhaust stock, or, if you must, the sports exhaust is the best option, the other 2 ruin the noise IMO. Also, it sounds pretty good with a supercharger :sly:

I hope this thread would get stickied some day! ;)

We can only hope :sly: hard work will always pay off, This thread will contain that of about 300+ cars soon, Until then, it won't be a huge help to people. We will try and gain information on the more popular cars first :)

Well I finally got my g27. Which means I finally got to drive like a madman lol
My favorite car sound of the night *drum roll*

Camaro ss 10 with semi racing exhaust!!!
Sounds strangely like the z06, and the z06 sounds strangely like the zr1... Like they should 👍

@Husky, A while back I tested the 67 Cobra GT the same way you did the cars listed above. I thought it was the only car that kept the V8 sound. Now I'm going to go buy racing exhaust for my mach 1 and rumble.

I hope this thread gets stickied some day. After the list gets going I think it has the possibility to greatly enhance the gt5 experiance for anyone that reads it.

Yeah, HuskyGT had a lot of great points, not going to lie.. The only thing he posted that i may disagree with, and it's really not even disagree-ing is that the Mach 1 is the only V8 that keeps it's sound, I thought the Cobra did also, the Ford GT is right on the border of the achievement as well.. But he obviously knows what he is talking about.. At least when it comes to the Sound of an Exhaust note ;)

How could I have forgotten to post in the original Ford GT40 Race Car!? Possibly one of the most brutal sounding engines in the game, even when idling!
(Sure, it's a race mod car with no changeable exhaust, but worth a mention at least!)

Great thread and thanks for putting this together in an objective manner.

I really wish there was a way to turn up the exhaust sounds (only) in the sound menu. There is sooo much missing in my opinion with regards to exhaust sound. True muscle cars (and similar American V8s) have such a low but loud idle that really sounds great. Drag cars REALLY hit this mark - nothing like the sound of that low but loud intermittent rumble with timing adjusted so low that at idle it almost sounds like the engine is about to die.

Once that throttle is pressed, you get such a satisfying ROAR - not rumble, ROAR. With bass, that eventually hits across mids but never hits hi's.

The premium Vipers kinda get this but the damn racing tranny ruins it!!!

You have M5 twice in the OP ;)

Interesting about the MACH 1, have to test this in the weekend, would love to find a loud V8 sound finally in GT5. :)

'69 Camaro Z28 RM has a fantastic sound too! Is it the same sound with just bolting a Semi-Racing on it or does the RM change the noise too? Haven't checked.

Actually dug through cars for the "Stars & Stripes" seasonal and found the Camaro '69 SS to be the best choice after some tinkering. Fully agree on Semi-Racing for that one too.

" '67 Cobra GT " ?

70hemi
I think you mean '66 Cobra 427... lol No such thing as a Cobra GT until 2000...

Yeah I was wrong 👎 I build the kit cars in real life and that's what I have always heard them be called. I muffed up one of my favorite cars' names :( I hope Caroll doesn't smite me...

Some cars I've found that sound very nice, IMO.

  • Acura DN-X- Stock. A nice throaty sound.
  • Mazda MX-5- Stock- Not as throaty as the Acura, but still nice.
  • Nissan mm-R- Stock- Sounds like a V8! :dopey:
