GTP Exhaust + Car best Combo's

Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe '04: with racing titanium exhaust it sounds like a
nascar.

New Mini Cooper 2011 sounds nice with racing exhaust.

The way I see mclarens is that sleeper supercar style, they are super fast but have no true character to them they drive like they are on rails
(didn't take time to see the vid)

Hi,

last night I do the seasonal event 650pp with a Viper GTS-R Team Oreca Race Car #51 '00 and I have been surprised this car have an awesome sound in stock 👍

This sound is just crazy (that's the same sound that should have the ZR1 RM like the C6-R in real life)

hey MOTORTRENDmitch, for the 370Z and R34's sounds, it reads "Titanium Exhaust", which includes semi-racing and racing. Does it mean both of them are alright? :)

I have a couple.

Audi R8 4.2 FSI- Stock
Audi S4 4.2 '03- Stock Exhaust, Sports Cats
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG- Stock Exhaust, Sports Cats

The R8 4.2 is largely overlooked, but I think sounds better than the V10. The S4 and the C63 have that marvelous 90 degree V8 sound that makes them both European muscle cars.

Yes, I believe that's what the poster meant by that, Edit: I actually don't know now that I look at it, I will check with them to be sure

Can we get confirmation of this please, I like the Exhaust note of the R8 with almost every exhaust so I just want someone else to confirm stock is the best.. With the titanium exhaust it sounds NASCAR like  kinda like the M5

Just tried the Lambo Countach 25th Ann. '88. I found it hard to choose. For me the best one is the semi racing, which seems to sounds a bit like the stock one but more powerful and angry.

Yeah, I know what you mean, that car sounds pretty nice with a couple of them.

I did a quick Fix of the OP list, I noticed a couple mitakes, Fixed a few errors, Made it look a little neater, And added the Manufacturer To the Skyline.

Keep 'em Coming 👍 This thread seems to be going quite well, If anyone has any suggestions as to making this thread bigger, let me know, PM me if you'd like :)

I'm not sure, I just put premium there in case there was any confusion. I don't think I ever tried the standard RX-7's yet.

nor have I, Alright, I will add it in there, But I must agree, they sound alot like Snow-Mobiles.. But without it it sounds like an air compressor.

I am becoming a bigger and bigger fan of rotary to be honest.. I love the idea behind it. I'm saddend that they stopped producing rotary though :(

The concept of the rotary engine is amazing! But the sound coming out is horrendous!

I just tried the RX-7 standard and they have different sounds, the racing exhaust isn't as bad as on the premium car. The premium sounds kind of like a quad rotor with racing exhaust.
I always like the sound of a tuned rotary in real life, I also like 2 strokes.

Mazda RX-7 (standard): racing titanium exhaust

I also like 2 strokes.

I <3 my two smoker. The sound, the smell, and the POWWWEERRRR!!
(/affaire) :sly:

Just remembered, I love the sound of the silverado ss with the racing exhaust. It rasps and crackles like a drag motor! Also it's EXTREMELY laud, not to mention it pushes over 2 tons to 200+mph.

Yes the smell and the power when they come into the power band, I used to own a Suzuki RGV 250:sly:

RE Amemiya RX-7: titanium racing exhaust

After trying a few RX-7s it seems the spirit type R is the only one with the weird sounding racing exhaust, all the others I have tried sound the best with the racing exhaust either premium or standard. I haven't tried any racing cars though.

Hmm... Let me discuss some of the suggestions in previous posts...

Some mention that the McLaren F1 sounds good in stock form. It sure does, but haven't you notice it's the same sample that the Cizeta has? Btw, the Cizeta is the closest car sounding like the real thing... So I would say that the stock exhaust for the F1 is absolutely wrong... There is one exhaust that makes it sound more like a V12... But i'll have to check later. My GT5 file got messed up thanks to the update...

Another one that some are mentioning is the Lamborghini Countach. The old one is fine with the stock exhaust, but the newer one also shares the same sample with the Cizeta... So wrong... I'll have to get this car to see if what exhaust can fix it.

The Audi R8 4.2 sounds good with the stock exhaust. I have no idea if some have noticed, but it's a sample that has been used before in Gran Turismo 4 for the old Audi RS6. It's fine because it's a V8. The Semi racing makes it sound like pretty much every other V8 car in the game.

Another car that people are discussing here is the RX-7. I've only driven the old FD, and it sounds glorious with the stock exhaust. Just what you'd expect from a Wenkel engine. I like the stock exhaust on the RX-8 as well since it still sounds like a rotary, but you can notice the difference between the RX-7's Wenkel and the RX-8's Renesis. I haven't really bothered to try othere exhaust with these. I would expect the sound getting messed up...

As I build up more cars in my garage I'll keep on contributing with the thread...

yes it is.:ouch:

At the beginning I didn't notice, because the McLaren being a premium, I drive it in cockpit. And the sound is much more different from that point of view. But then I started driving it (when I had it) with chase cam, I noticed that it was the same sound...

Even though it's wrong, I must admit it does sound absolutely amazing, and you just want to keep on pushing it. Cockpit view somehow muffles the sound, making it sound different from the Cizeta.

Oh, and speaking of the Cizeta, it's funny that both exhaust available for it sound exactly the same. If I'm not mistaken, that car comes with the Titanium Semi Racing as the stock exhaust. But nevertheless, that car sounds exactly like the real thing. Let's see if I can find a vid... :)

EDIT: Yes I did found a vid.

Behold the most accurate sound sample in the game. Why PD can achieve such an accurate sound with a completely unknown car, and not the rest?

So there is no discussion. Leave the Cizeta how it is... well, the sound wouldn't change anyway.

Yes, they drive on rails, it's actually hard to get it sideways, sort of

Edit: sorry for being off topic

Man, I want some of your drugs! They must be good! The McLaren F1 is twitchy as all hell!

Back on topic - The Ford XR8 V8 Supercar sounds right, though not quite loud enough.
