GTP Exhaust + Car best Combo's

HuskyGT
The old Lotus Elise sounds correct with the stock exhaust but it lacks some punch, so add the Sports Exhaust and you'll hear that little 4 cylinder come to life.

The new Elise sounds very close to the real thing with the Stock one.

About the older Elise, I guess if it sounds similar than the Toyota Celica.

Hi MOTORTRENDmitch, just checked your updated car list and I've got a little suggestion here. As the Mazda RX-7 has got different generations in GT5, what about adding (FC) or (FD) tags besides the car? so that we know which generation you're talking about. ;)

PS: if possible, giving those cars with NONE or ANY in bold letters would also help. :)

I verified about premium vs standard RX-7 (FD) and can confirm that the racing titanium exhaust sounds best on the standard car, although I can't confirm if it is accurate from the real sound.

For the Mini Cooper S '05, the stock exhaust works best. It gives it a nice, aggressive, but quiet exhaust note, whereas the racing exhaust is too loud and crazy, and the semi-racing exhaust just sounds weird. The sports exhaust sound similar to the stock exhaust, but the stock exhaust is the best choice. 👍

You're welcome mate! I'm more than happy to give a little help! :dopey:👍
Just thought that would look a bit more clearer for all viewers. 💡

I was just cruising around with a regular M3 E46... we all already know that the CSL with stock exhaust is good, but the E46, we dont know why, comes with the E92 V8 exhaust sound. :ouch::scared:

Listening to the sounds, I think the semi-racing exhaust its the only one that sounds a bit like a BMW inline-6... specialy from 1000 to 5000rpm.

It lacks some details in the sound, to be like the real one. Well, it lacks a LOT :( But, its better to have an inline-6 sound in a car that actually uses this engine than a V8 sound.

What you guys think?

I would like to add the '03 Chevrolet SSR. STOCK It's probably one of the most realistic V8 sounds in the game.

Does anyone have Data on the RUFs? If not i can do it tomorrow

Il try and do some testing tomorow. I'm off work I just have to remember gt5 and not skyrim lol

I love the RUFs with stock exhausts. All of them seem accurate with the rumble of the Boxer-6 in all. The CTR2 is a bit muffled tho. May be my ears. I'll try the ones you guys are saying 👍

BTW, just want to add one car that most probably don't use, but its a car with a really accurate sound: The Fiat Coupé. With the stock exhaust, the rumble of the Fiat Fivetech 5 cylinder engine is perfect. From 2000 to 5000rpm its really awesome! The semi-racing exhaust seems to keep the 5cyl rumble but raises the volume and I seriously think that the Audi Quattro should use this sample as the current sound it uses doesn't resemble an inline-5 :nervous:

Talking about inline-5 engines, the standard Volvo S60 T-5 Sport have a good inline-5 sound with stock exhaust too if I'm not mistaken. Gotta check it and give better feedback.

Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R R32
Exhaust: Stock/Sports/Semi-Racing

Reason: Titanium exhaust sounds somewhat like a chainsaw in San Andreas.

Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R R33
Exhaust: Stock/Sports/Semi-Racing

Reason: same with R32 (titanium sounds like a chainsaw)

I would like to add something to an existing entry:

Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
Exhaust: ALL

Reason: They all sound sweet and realistic.

And fix the Mclaren part of the list, bro. There's something wrong with the formatting.

GTP Exhaust/Car Best Combo's

Chevrolet

Chevrolet Camaro SS 69' - Titanium Racing Exhaust
Chevrolet Camaro SS 10' - Semi Racing Exhaust
CHEVY CAMARO Z28 ´69 - Stock/Sports/Racing
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) - Semi Racing Exhaust
CHEVY CORVETTE Z06 C5 - Stock/Semi Racing
CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE C3 ´69 - Stock (only one that sounds like a V8)
Chevrolet SSR - Stock (one of most realistic V8 notes in Gran Turismo)
Chevrolet Chevelle 454 70' - Sports exhaust.

IMO the sports exhaust sounds best on old muscle cars. It gives them a meaty mean growl that screams this vehicle gets 8mpg and I don't care!

Thanks for Catching this! I don't know that happend

I would like a comfirmation on the RUFs before I add them to the list, I haven't driven any except the BTR yet :dunce: Also, For the Chevelle, many people say Sports is the best, but are the other exhausts still realistic? Let me know guys, the List is coming along Very well! Thanks for all the feedback, this thread seems to be growing well & I know it's helped many users pick exhausts, it's deffinatly helped my a bunch 👍
