Great video I am not sure about the
Alien (or some other sort of Genius or higher intelligence!) I just enjoy playing the game I was surprised at being in front of ET I would like to no what the build quality of your new wheel was like I was going to get one they need to be good for me I have broke Two G27 & a fanatic csr I am currently on DFGT With G27 Pedals and so far all good keep up the good work with the videos I enjoy watching while eating breakfast but the down side is less practice LOL
Thank you for your nice words about my Videos, I hope they make your breakfasts enjoyable!?
As far as the Thrustmaster T300RS-wheel is concerned:
the Quality is superb (real metal rim, solid state, only 2 pedals (which is good for me as I only drive automatic-shifting unlike in my real-life-car, where I would NEVER accept Automatic, but in GT6 I just can't handle it)).
There are 3 reasons why I gave the wheel back:
1.) The Rotation angle cannot be adjusted (I use a 200 degrees Logitech wheel and used to that); well... the Rotation angle CAN be adjusted, BUT NOT IN GT6! I found out that it can also be adjusted in GT6, but every time you start the game, start a race or even just RE-start a race, you have to do it again, and that is just ridiculous.
And I cannot handle the 1080 degrees Rotation angle, as e.g. in Willow Springs (Grand Willow) you have to cross-grip or even Change the grip in sharp turns (like e.g. the hairpin on top of the hill at Big Willow). This makes me looking like a monkey trying to steer a car (not that anybody would be watching me, I just don't like it, in fact I HATED IT!).
2.) The resistance of the pedals is way too high, if my real-life-car would have that resisance on e.g. the gas-pedal, I wouldn't get far because I would have a cramp in my right foot! Same goes for the brake-pedal.
3.) One cannot Switch off the Force Feedback! And the Force Feedback can only be put to a Minimum Level of 1 (no Level 0), and one cannot Switch FF off by just pulling the cable, since the FF and the wheel have only one power supply, so if you pull the power-cable (only leaving the USB-cable connected), the whole wheel is dead and doesn't do anything any more.
Apart from that: even on Level 1 the FF-effect is totally unrealistic and ridiculously strong, tiring you after 5-10 minutes (asking for a cigarette break). If my real-life-car steering wheel gave me that sort of force Feedback, I would stop at the next Garage to get it repaired (whatever the damage may be).
But if all this is not hurting you, you can find a good in-depht Review of the wheel on YouTube here:
