I've been tring to figure out a better time for everyone and still keep the teams and rooms well matched.
This may work if everyone is ok with these changes.
Change team Yellow to Stewyripper, Nosoks and Karter995.
Change team Orange to Old Boy1943, Rock-n-Soul and Fun at Sixty.
Change team Silver to daduce1947, Mots63 and WheelerTurner.
Change team White to Waukazoo, Macdog54, Ozirules12

Move team Silver to room #1.
Change room #1 event start time to January 11th 10am Saturday Los Angeles time, in New York 1pm, in London 6pm, in Finland 9pm. Hopefully someone will check these times to make sure I have them figuered out correctly.

This also leaves nosoks in a room of 9 and hopefully a better chance of a decent connection and may be able to work out a better new time for room #2 as with the changes it is not spread as far around the globe. I'll work on that tomorrow.
Any feedback is more than welcome.

Thanks to all that have fielded some of the questions that have been asked. And everyones patients with this.
Excuse me Waukazoo but January 11º is not Saturday, is Sunday in London , Lisbon,Finland or New York.

Lets see if I can get this right this time around.

I sure hope i got it correct this time.

I have Practice rooms set up in Relics for those that wish to use them.
Each is for one of the five tracks. The settings are as they will be on race day including the rolling start lap. But with two additonal laps at the end.
The two extra laps will allow you and your team to exit from the track without the results showing in the comments section. That will allow anyone not wishing their practice times or which car they are using on that track not to be seen by anyone.

Things to take note of while practicing.
Know where the Start/finish line is. With a rolling start lap one is go sort the grid order. As you are ending the 1st lap crossing the line and starting lap 2 that is the start of the race.

Know where the pit entrance's are for the five tracks. During practice take note of your tire wear and fuel consumption. Deciding when you should pit can either help or hurt. It does make a difference.
Failing to pit will draw you a big pentalty.

Glitches.
Occasionally traction control will default to 5 on cars. Make sure you check the driving options before every race Making sure they are set to your preference.

Occasionally when changing from one car to the next the rest of the drivers will see you on track driving the last car you were in. Leave the track, enter the garage and change cars. Then re-enter the garage and change back to the car you need.

The reasons for a manual grid rolling start are to avoid any glitchiness and complete programmatic asshattery. The organizers are rightly taking responsibility for control of their event out of the hands of arrogant programmers, who think they know what's best, and also not relying on antiquated hardware being overtaxed by those same programmers.

Manual grid rolling starts are the only right way to do it. They will take a bit more time and require folks to pay attention and do what they're told.
BUT...don't forget when the lights go green....DO NOT FLOOR IT.....AND AS YOU PASS THEM ALL....then it sinks in...you brake...and slink back into position....no one will say a word. Been there...done that....TWICE.

Ozi,
Check out Waukazoo's post #1033 on page 35.

You will only need the five cars for the driver group you are in. The group you fall into will be based on the results of the three time trials in Relics garage.

Class C
Subaru BRZ GT300 Base Model '12
Autobacs Garaiya GT300 Base Model '08
Lexus IS 350 GT300 Base Model '08

Class A

Nissan GT-R R35 Touring car
Citroen GT by Citroen Race car
Pagani Zonda R '09

All cars must be stock as they were when purchased. No tuning or added parts allowed.
With only these exceptions. You may do an oil change, you may adjust the brake bias, you may use custom wheels.

The car classes are not equal. Group A drivers in super GT cars are only competing among themselves. Group B compete among themselves and group C among themselves.
The cars in a particular class are not equal. They are fairly close in lap times but all offer different caricteristics. You can choose which of the five cars in your class to use in which race. Practicing on the different tracks to decide which car suits which track best for you can make a big differance in how well you do in the races.. But, you can only use a car once. 1 car, 1 race. 5 cars, 5 races. Once a car is used it must be retired and may not to be used in any of the remaining races.

The Tracks. Not in the order of the races.
Fuji Speedway GT - 9 laps plus 1 rolling start lap
Tokyo R246 forward - 9 laps pluse 1 rolling start lap
Grand Vally Speedway forward - 11laps plus 1 rolling start lap
Nurburgring GP/F - 9 laps plus 1 rolling start lap
Twin Ring Motegi road course - 10 laps plus 1 rolling start lap
There is 1 manditory pit stop in every race.

Event lobby settings.
Where. Relics Garage
Fixed host
Microphones enabled
Weather set at 0
Track time set to 11:00
Boost off
Penalties on weak
Damage off
Grip real
Slipstream real
Tire wear very fast

Skid recovery force Prohibited

If the Zonda is stock be VERY CAREFUL as its mid engine rotation is pronounced. I raced it in WGTC last season and hope never to see its beautiful visage again. My partner was one of the GTP's best tuners so he Tamed It for me. I have the tune if anyone wants it. It reduces rotation and makes it more predictable( but slower) for your own use..not in the event.

As soon as I get control of our Endurance Team again..I hope to spend a whole bunch of time here with my peers....some of these kids are SCARY FAST....faster than my synapses can fire!

Selamat tahun baru or Happy new year Geezers.

It is 2015 now so,as I will reach 60 this year (if I don't get hit by a bus), I would like to officially apply for membership in your fine group. Some of you already know me, others feel free to FR if I have room.
My psn id is nosoks but you can call me soks or my real name which is Les. Just don't call me late for dinner.

Here's the race info for the next event planed for early January.
I'm sure there will be many questions about this race so ask them as early as possible don't wait till race day to ask.

This one is a team race with three drivers per team one driver from each of thr three groups A, B, and C. Hopefully with enough entrants to have five teams. There will be five races on five tracks with three car classes. Each of the three drivers in each team will be driving a different class car.
For this to work drivers have to be split into three groups A, B, and C.
Anyone planing to participating in the event in January must run all three time trials so I can split the drivers into groups. Each time trial is a different track using a different car. The car is supplied for you. When you open the garage there will only be one car in it. Make sure to open the driving aids check and set the traction control as you like and any assist you need. The only aid prohibited is skid recovery force.
I will have the time trials set up tomorrw (Saturday) in Relics Garage if you want to join in the race in January send me a message on the ps3 or post in the thread so I can send an invite then you can join Relics garage and run the time trials.

There are five cars per class and three classes, GT300, GT500, and SUPER GT. 15 different cars in all.
Each three man team has one driver from each group. Group A drivers will drive super GT cars. Group B drivers the GT500 cars and Group C drivers GT300 cars.
Once everyone has compleated the time trials and the driver groups and teams are set you will need only the five cars in the driver and car class you are runnning. You will be useing all five in the five races.

There are five different tracks one race per track. All three car classes racing at the same time on the same track with all the drivers. Hopfully we will have five teams of three men each competing in three classes at the same time making a fifteen car grid.

The cars. All the cars have detailed interiors, with the exception of the Ford GT all of the cars are paintable, team colors anyone? All of the cars can have any numbers you choose.

You will only need the five cars for the driver group you are in. The group you fall into will be based on the results of the three time trials in Relics garage.

Happy New Year everyone! Glad to see this one close, still praying 2015 will turn the corner & not spinout.
In my previous life I had a profession which was not necessarily conducive to longevity ( USAF Tactical Pilot during and after SEA) and then I tried Racing ( which while satisfying was not a financial success). Neither promised a long life....thus every new year is a great gift to continue were others could not.
Hope Im not too late, but I'd like to take part in the January race. Talk to you in the meantime in the practice room.
Me too...what do I need to do.

@Nail-27 Thank You for your service! I flew Submarines, different medium for sure & NO window.

re the upcoming event I'll alert @waukazoo, there are now 3 inquiring that makes a team depending on skill levels.

You're the first squid who has ever said he flew a sub....exactly....only the medium is different....it took the designers a long time to figure that out...and most modern subs have yoke ( poor excuse for a stick). Only the up down is reverses. Lol .

Someone on the other channel recommends the new Mazada ( reset to 600 pp....use ballast for the last little bit). He was CORRECT... Much easier on tires. Intermediates for both stints and pit around 6 or 7. I took the lead somewhere around 5 or so and never lost it. The key is its being nicer to its tires...also MUCH better in the wet. If this has been posted before...sorry.
Edit: Sorry...this is for both survival races....$2 mil....sweet.

Hello Wauk,

Has a track order been determined yet or is it the order of the tracks in the Relics garage practice? I want to make sure I have everything written down so I don't try to use the same car twice

The tracks will be in this order.

Race 1. Motegi road course 1 lap to set the grid order + 10 laps of racing
Race 2. Fuji speedway gt 1 lap to set the grid +9 laps of racing
Race 3. Nurburging gp/f 1 lap to set the grid + 9 laps of racing
Race 4. Tokyo R246 forward 1 lap to set the grid + 9 laps of racing
Race 5. Grand Valley speedway forward 1 lap to set the grid + 11 laps of racing

Two questions:
Why there is not Nurburgring in the Relics Garage?
What is the order (position) of differents cars in the rolling start?:banghead:
Thanks
