If you don't mess up Class C will just stay ahead of most Class B cars, lap wise. On some tracks the Super GT's will lap the Class C cars and possibly a Class B car or 2. A mishap at the front will just about assure clean Class C drivers they will not see the leaders looming large in the mirror. On Tokyo getting lapped is likely though.

Question for Class C geezers. Do you have to spend a lot of time dodging the fast guys coming up behind you?

Did they lap you, and if so, how many times?

I am SO looking forward to tomorrow's events!!

I had absolutely no problem being lapped by the faster guys. When I saw them coming up on me I would move over when I could but I did not lose any time because they also used consideration in their passing. The only problem is at the end of the race when the computer takes over their cars and you have to do some heavy dodging because you are still racing. All in all it was the most fun I ever had racing online.
Wauk, what an AWSOME, AWESOME, AWESOME job putting this together. The geezers that worked out the cars and tracks another AWESOME job. Doc, an AWESOME job with your replay and streaming work. And to my fellow racers an AWSOME job with your good, clean, and competive racing. I can't express enough what a FANTASTIC experience this was. I hope you guys that race today have the same experience and I look forward to watching. THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL.

Please note my Tee shirt (my avatar) the young man my daughter is dating gave me for Christmas. - yes that is a cane and racing helmet. I hope to wear it on the podium today - as long as there are only three teams that will make it possible! Really looking forward to this event. Viewing was great, thanks Doc, but mostly thanks to Wauk for the vision and determination to get this event done and the others who helped with the planning. See you on the grid.

Peter - aka P. Mallard

I hope everyone enjoyed the racing as much as I did. I had a blast. Great job streaming it all Doc! 👍

I appreiciate everyones efforts putting this event together.

There is someone that should be racing but has no team. :(
With that in mind if there are no objections 💡 I'd like to make up one more team and get Doc in the race today.

Stewy in group A, Doc in group C, and if anyone would like to run group B that spot is open.

What do ya say. Anyone ready for a seat in a group B car please take one step forward. 👍

If no one fills this group B spot (GT500) I will.

I will open a room approximately one hour early in Relics Club Lobby for todays race at 1pm eastern time.

Good morning Possum, I believe you do not and should not need worry  about "dodging" to leave a lane for the faster guys at all partner :nervous:,, they'll be patient and find their own way around if that scenario happens ~ which it did yesterday. 👍 You only need focus on YOUR line and hold it,, :) the faster cars will find their own line around as long as your line is "somewhat" predictable 👍👍. That's racing and unlike the dash and dive driving we see in OTHER rooms, we GEEZERS do our best to make it as real as we can and recognize that in the REAL WORLD if we tap or bump the other car too severely,, BOTH racers likely are out of the race :banghead: so we'll just hold our line until the correct line around makes itself available, then we simply boogie on around.

Those of us who are having a go at the events today,, BEST of FUN, GOOD LUCK and as always ~ GEEZERS RULE!
 :gtpflag:

WOW, what an afternoon of great racing.

I cant believe the total time of close racing in the GT500 group, man, that was fun.

Another awesome event for us Geezers.:cheers::cheers:

Cant say thanks enough to the group for the time that was put into organizing and running this weekends races.👍

What an excellent event, thanks Wauk and all for the great planning and execution.

I apologize for my abysmal performance and hope that I didn't cause too much of a blockage.

Today was not my finest hour, probably because I go in for minor heart surgery tomorrow (if one can ever say minor), and thus my health is not great and I'm a little distracted.

I don't know how much you could hear of my spoken word, the audio was not working too well, however, I have saved replays of all the races, and if anyone wants, I can rerun any replay from any driver's point of view, capture it and pop it up onto Youtube. I won't get to it for a week or so, but I 'd be happy to do it!

Thanks again, I really enjoyed the weeks leading up to today and the events themselves!

Anybody explain the blue time numbers in the center of the screen? :boggled:

Like Stewey said, fun is all that counts and we all had a blast. The numbers are a "glitch"

Possum - Will remember you in prayers, no matter how minor the surgery. Keep yourself healthy, we need all the Geezers we can get! Give us a post after the procedure is finished and let us know how you are doing.

Peter

A huge thank you to all the members that contributed to the car and track testing and selection.

Special Thanks to @waukazoo for having the vision and organizing us cats to get this accomplished & to @Stewyripper and @oldboy1943 for volunteering so I could participate.
Thanks @waukazoo for your kindness!

I indeed had a blast, the competition was intense & well mannered.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days. In light of your situation, I think your performance was world class and certainly Geezer worthy. Best wishes from Geezerdom and please keep us informed.

Many thanks from me also , it was my first time on line & in the first race I was even leading my class on the last lap & when I saw all the a class cars slowing down & it gave Karter an opening & he made an excellent pass on me & I ended up taking him out :dunce: I finished first , but should have been karters win , sorry mate . Great day & looking forward to doing it again .:D:D Cheers Ozi

First, My Hats off to all the guys that worked out a way to put this together. 👍
Also, Thanks to everyone that participated making it two days of excellent door to door racing.👍
We enjoyed it and we hope you did too.

Since the races had an unequal number of teams and drivers,
I haven't figured a way to score 8 teams and 24 drivers in two rooms equally.

For now I'll just list the order of team finishes for each day.

Day 2 room 1
Team Red - 1st place
Team Yellow - 2nd
Team Silver -3rd
Team Green - 4th
Team Blue - 5th

Day 1 room 2
Team Yellow - 1st place
Team Orange - 2nd
Team White - 3rd

So what were the placings of the Class A, Class B and Class C drivers across the sum of the five races in each of the two rooms?

BTW, testing phase at hospital today found nothing which would preclude tomorrow's procedures
.
