Which 6 Tracks do you want for Season 4

Me, Johny and MU have just had a race at Nurburgring. Absolutely awesome. Fantastic for side by side battles. And also in the process I overtook MU round the outside of turn 2 and Johny round the outside of the hairpin. Was very pleased with those moves :P

Yeah yeah but it was great fun. We have to race here! Also, I remembered something. While Jamman and me were 'racing' or bashing into each other for fun, I decided to dive into the pits for a quick tyre change. Jamman was in front and saw me turn in too late, he decided to pit as well. Only to find himself crash headfirst into the barrier on pit entry. :P

Got a new modem installed today, and its working great! finally my speeds are much better and so far no more disconeccts. Im ready for season 4, I hope the tracks are same as last year, now I have the set ups and lots of practice, just need to get good ride secured for me and my returning teammate and I'm set. I like the idea of ballasts to even some cars out, I think that will give us good racing all through the grid.

Suddenly I cant stay in a lobby without being disconnected , I can stay logged into PSN and my internet seems better than ever, I tried 5 different lobbies, could stay in 3 minutes tops before disconnected from lobby server message.

Even your own? Your hard wired? I had that problem with wireless.

I'm wireless, its been fine until all of a sudden. Its comcast, Im gonna go from performance to Blast, see if that helps. I just cant find a way to get the ethernet all the way down stairs. Maybe buy a better modem, im just using the one they gave me.

Just looking at the votes and who cast them. Only 5 of the 16 people that voted for La Sarthe 2005 actually attend regular races. I don't think it is fair that loads of people who are new and may not show (they might show and be really good but you don't know) get to change what tracks raced by everyone that we know shows up and is good. Just a thought. I hope this is taken into consideration.

had a race with jam around nurenburg GP... 749 HP.... god it was tail happy but i believe i was on sport hards not sure :( seb stuffed me though

Yeah, although I embarrassingly did a Vettel. Twice :banghead:
--

Track vote results are looking good. Nurburgring, La Sarthe 2005 and Suzuka are looking likely (which is great as they are probably my 3 favourite tracks on that list :)) The rest are pretty much all within 1 or 2 votes of each other.
--

I think the Bentley and R8 '01 should get ballast but why the GT one? Just beacause it's the fastest in a straight line? :irked:

Imo GT-One should not get a ballast, its not quick enough. You should get one though regardless of car ;)

ballast for the gt-one? nah i think honestly its just the driver and their level of practice.
Me and Jam. Jam said it first. but clearly without practice even a car like the bentley won't be fast as bermuda knows.

The bentley was suposedly the fastest car.....
did it ever win a race. no.
If the gt-one has a "top end advantage"......Does anyone have any idea how much the gt-one sucks coming out of corners....Just absolutely no torque......unlike all the other cars....its balanced out by the top speed...

The 787B has and the minolta have phenomal acceleration(as well as some of the other cars).....so why penalize the gt-one with ballast? so now the top speed is slower AND the acceleration is slower...And the Audi R8 for being an Audi. lol

and the only track where top speed matters is lemans..

Not many people can "like" the gt-one...Its very oversteery and at that point its just driver preference....do you like oversteer or understeer.....

Majority of the races where not won by the fastest person

If your going to ping the gt-one then youll have to ping the Bentley,The 908, and The 905(the 905 should be practically illegal.Setup correctly it wont oversteer on exit and its just dynamite in the corners....and tire wear is fantastic),and the 787B and Minolta for having awesome acceleration and the minolta and BMW and Bentley for awesome handling..

Sooo now all the cars have penalties....which just defeats the purpose lol.

the GT-One isnt getting any ballast...... who said that ???

anyone else have times to add to the spreadsheet :)

I said it should, I find it much quicker than most other cars.

Before anyone says anything about which cars are good and which are not, post times, thank you.

Blaze, me and Jamman do alot of racing together and he talks alot about his setup that you created and how it works brilliantly with all the cars etc. He also talks about how the setup gives the car massive traction out of corners while you say it suks out of corners. So, who do we trust here then?

Also, it the setup on the GT-One that makes it phenomanal so then the only way to make sure it is handicapped is power reduction or weight balast. You can't enforce them taking the setup off. From Jamman's own remarks, I know that the GT-One allows you to get on the power very very early, it allows for a super high top speed and it is sable in the corners. No negatives so clearly something needs to be done. That or Jamman and Blaze are producing those lap times by magic and the car is useless because the last time I checked, Jamm dominated Laguna, which is a high traction, high acceleration circuit, everything Blaze said the car is rubbish at.

Now that I have exposed Blaze's post as the most blatant lie in online motorsport, lets continue testing lap times.

dude. whatchu talking about.......Traction is 1 thing......The acceleration is Another.......

if you race with us..veytime we do standing starts....(guess who passes like 4 carsi inclusing me......The 787 and the minolta.....

The only diff between the gt-one and the other cars is that it has a longer gear box than most other cars.....Thats why its goes to a higher top speed. but the consequence is slower acceleration....you guys cars hit the rev limiter earlier.thats why you stop accelerating..mean while the gt-one is still at like 7500rpm and has 500rpm to go another 5 mph quicker down the straights.
theres a differnce between exit oversteer(handling) and power oversteer(flooring it)....the gt-one stock suffers from handling(oversteer)(when the weight shifts to the rear wheel) under throttle......not power oversteer.(because its not producing much torque in the low end).

anyone who pays attention to little things like me notices the little quirks of all the cars...Thats when your driving it well.....When your driving poorly BoP or with a bad setup BoP wont do anything for ya.

Im not saying this becasue i want to use the gt-one...(Im not using the gt-one this season)

fortunaltely anyone with a good mind for tuning can turn any one of these cars beastly......

If you have traction, you can get on the power earlier meaning you are accelerating earlier, thus meaning you accelerate to a higher speed before the next corner. Else wise, the GT-One would of been blown away at just about every circuit if the acceleration is that bad. And if you have traction, you clearly can't have handling oversteer at the same time. Traction means you get on the power early and the car grips. handling oversteer means you have to get on the power late or else you understeer. Now try to explain how one car can have these same two characteristics in the same corner

Also, in my Top Gear - The Interceptors petition, someone has made an intro scene. Very good

They are very different things. Everytime off the start in practice races the GT one is always poor from a grid start (thank god for rolling starts in the real thing lol). I have done a lot of testing with MU for example and his 908 leaves the Toyota standing at the start. Traction is how well the car can get it's power down. Acceleration is the rate at which it speeds up. So a car can get it's power down well but not speed up at the rate of it's competitors: aka acceleration

Ah, sorry to rain on your parade. This was the 908 with a custom transmission that uses only 4 gears lol. It helps with acceleration and it's fast but I only used this at Monza and La Sarthe. With a default transmission like I used at all the other races, acceleration is dramtically reduced off the line. :)

Blaze: Try and beat a very good GT-ONE time of yours with a MINOLTA at La Sarthe.

The GT-ONE doesn't suffer in turns, who made that up? It's brilliant!

When does pre-season start?

So, i'm going ot be the voice of reason here and say, we weren't arguing like this at all until the talks about regulation changes came along. These regs changes are putting us all against each other, and Racing is a gentlemen's sport.

The GTone has oversteer under the throttle, yes, it can be fixed with a tune. All of its problems can be tuned out to make it a brilliant car. SO CAN EVERY OTHER CAR. EVERY CAR IS TUNEABLE, so, EVERY PROBLEM WITH EVERY CAR CAN BE FIXED WITH TUNING, to make it a brilliant car. These flaming arguments are tearing the series apart, 680hp was the magic number, every car was good, races were all close, and never over til it's over. It wasn't a constant domination by 1 driver in 1 car. The 908 did win as well, every other car came close to winning at least once. Let's just please leave the regs alone before we all end up hating each other.

We aren't arguing. We are discussing and making our points. And also a 905 won last season too :sly:

Jamman came close, but sure, it wasn't the car that made the outcome :)

May I just add: I find your post the most flaming of the ones I've read so far, lol :D

680 = the magic number?
I still say 600. Will anyone please try this? I have a lot of cars pretty close in this class.

Tissimo:
At Monza... 💡 Blaze have the official fastest in that race, but Jamman claimed to have set a faster time than that.
--

600bhp anyone? Still evens it out even more, and maybe a tiny chance to bring back the Audi R8 in some way :)
--

I would like to start at soon as possible, tbh, but I'm not available this weekend though. Wouldn't mind if you were doing a Daytona race or something ;)
--Idk how many pre-season races were planned this time, but I'm sure we'll find a way to make it fit in everyone's schedule.

Just to clarify im only looking for the HP limit that puts.most of.the field within 3 /4 of a second of each other .

And TBH i just kinda guessed at at 680 HP limit. Since i started i knew max 970 hp was too much & and 500 too little. It worked and a ran with it. i will post my times in the next few days and make a decision .

Im going to ask some people to be a steward and help me make some decisions for the series then we should be ready to start !!!!!!!!!!
