Just to clarify im only looking for the HP limit that puts.most of.the field within 3 /4 of a second of each other .

And TBH i just kinda guessed at at 680 HP limit. Since i started i knew max 970 hp was too much & and 500 too little. It worked and a ran with it. i will post my times in the next few days and make a decision .

Im going to ask some people to be a steward and help me make some decisions for the series then we should be ready to start !!!!!!!!!!

680 was good, 600-700 its where it should be.. I think different then the 680 though just to change it up a bit.

I'll volunteer to penalize who ever is ahead of me in the drivers championship ;)

Did the GT-One even set fastest lap in any of the races?

Well the Minolta has one at Laguna Seca at the hands of yours truly :D It's the only race i've made this season, so don't know about any others. I know the Bentley took fastest lap at Daytona, the pre season race, at the hands of LR-VEGASRACER, a few tenths faster than my time I set on fresh tyres with 3 laps to go after my epic fail strategy

Is anyone interested in some practice now?

Exaclty, I want to switch it up just to see if there's a better figure to go by.
Looks like we are close though, I hope some drivers pick the
R92
C60
GT-One
Sauber C9
BMW V12
908
Audi R8 2005
Speed 8
Minolta

Also to promote the teams constructors championship - The team that wins the championship will each get a car of their choice ( up to 1 million) :)

I'll go Audi 05, V12 maybe R92. GT-One if I need too.

In terms of pace, every car there is at least within a second of each other, or at least can be in good hands and with a bit of tuning, at the 680hp limit. But factor in tyre wear and you then cross the Nissan R92CP off the list, because that car is a tyre murderer, then highlight the Minolta and Sauber because they both also wear tyres down fairly quickly.

I expect to see all cars run in Season 4. Almost all of them were used at least once this season.

I'd be happy with the GT one or Audi 05.

Do me and Blaze get a prize? :sly:

I'm hoping we don't start anytime soon. I'm going to miss 2 weeks mid-August if we start then. Keep on arguing lol. :P

Kind of same for me although I'm only going to miss one week. Next Wednesday I'm going on holiday to Majorca. So if we do the Pre season this week I'll miss round 1 next Saturday, but I'm not too bothered to be honest. I can miss one round and still win the title as I've already shown :P Although I hope it's not nurburgring as I love that track.

The thing that worrys me more though is going on holiday and then coming back to find out the final driver list has been made, and I missed it :nervous:

600 bhp puts the cars closer to each other. That would mean that the tuning and the driver is the two major factors to who is fastest, and not which car you have.

That's what I think.

We should "hire" some people to take pics after the races. Maybe take turns or something, 'cause it takes a damn long time to take good pictures in GT5 ('cause you can't rewind).

I would gladly (personally) bribe people who take pics with some sort of car if that's what it takes :sly:

I really enjoy taking photos BUT you very rarely see a bog stand photo of an overtake done by me because, to bef air, it boring. I use colour filters and blur and fireworks (see my rallycross pictures) and angling the camera massively. You get the idea. The photos would look great but they would be more artisitc than informative

Well golfer, from previous experience, normally all your overtaking moves end up something like this:

a2658634-235-explosion.gif

So it doesn't really make for much of a picture lol.

I was passing Jamman to take second while Kirk went on leading the race. As we went over the jump, I was a bit too sideways to catch it and hit Jamman. I have no idea how the explosion that resulted was so big although Jamman did break the series regulations by carrying fireworks in his passenger seat so he was immediately disqualified.

Yea

im thinking about a 7 race season, i know its long for me, but 7 races and 2 pre-season may be good.

Anyone else running a 908? I might as well run one cause I like its handling characteristics. Either that or the Bentley, but I'm not sure if it's legal.

Team Peugeot Total btw

Let me know if you want me to make the spreadsheet again.

Yes Please

* i created i new thread , but something has come up and i g2g, just dont post anything it it yet

Why use La Sarthe 2005 in the season if we're doing 2009 anyway? If anything, it should be a pre season race. That, and Fuji I guess. It's such a damn shame Fuji isn't a weather change track, it'd be absolutely fantastic.

Lol :D I thought you had problems with sorting :P

Who said the problem was fixed. I created a half working work around which is awkward to use. Not great. Still, I think each season should have the points reflected in a new style of spreadsheet. We had the written in post style. Then Mike. Then bombe. then my flawed work

Are you saying it didn't look good in S3?? :(

I am making changes to its looks though, but the colors will be somewhat the same.

I'm saying that each season has a different feel to the spreadsheet due to the way is designed because a different person designed it. Like F1 or Le Mans in real life. While two F1 cars do the same thing, they appear different due to the way they are designed and worked better in different ways. I'd like my shot at designing one. I'm making one for Jamms F1 as well.

He will come to write in the finishing positions and then the whole thing will error for no reason.

Also, I liked the spreadsheet for S3 but didnt love it because it was better than mine

Speaking of F1 league, it's going well. The social group and thread for it over at CM forums has been up for 2 days (Yes just 2 days) and already I had 14 people signed up. Just Maldonado's Williams and Sutil's Force India left. I knew it would be quite popular but I've nearly got a full field in 2 days. Brilliant :D
