The 325, 325i, and 325is all have 2.5-liters. The 325e and 325es are the economy cars, so they have bigger motors, more torque, but way fewer rpm and less horsepower.

Regarding the intercooler, I'd highly recommend putting a screen on it. The fins bend WAY too easily - and then they look horrid. I've got a nice screen I ordered (but you can make your own very easily) and it's got some nasty chips in it that would have mangled my fins.

It's always nice to know you have something covered either way. I'm crossing my fingers for ya' that SOA gives you some lovin'.

Where did you get this intercooler screen?

I couldn't even tell you. I bought it a few weeks after the car, so it's been a long time. Just do a search on NASIOC for "intercooler screen" and I'm sure you'll find plenty. Or, just get some chicken-type screen from Lowe's or something. Double it over and stagger it so you get very small squares. Then, just fold it over the edges of the IC. You can paint it black, like mine, if you want - it looks nice. You could always stencil the STi logo on too.

Now alt I love porsches (air cooled 911's) more than anyone of this baord probably for their charm and throaty exhaust and character, but I own a 944 turbo of the same year and I have to say that i think you are wrong. A good 944 turbo of the latter years (post mid 88) will go for 7-10k (remember this is a good car normal mileage and well maintained). Anyways bang for buck there is definitely no other porsche that offers the handling and performance of this 10k car. Even more over with 10k you could buy it and bring it from 240 to 300 horses easily... I read enough mags that i should know.

Anyways I don't know about porsche wanting you to believe that because its a porsche its a good car (I mean its not like that was ever a car they could rest their laurels on as its certainly no 911) and its definitely better than an ok car. With 7-10k i would like to know what you would buy (stock please).

The only other porsche that comes close to bang for buck would be the 930 sc or is it cs i always get those letters mized up (its older and more expensive to upkeep). Anyways i would like to hear what you think would make a good substitute for this car (anyone who buys a 944 becuase its a porsche has the wrong idea in their head. You buy a 944 because its a good sporty car maybe not the absolute best but a dam good one).

Works in Mozilla too . And since I think I am dragging this thread off track, I'll say what I driva again (although I'm pretty sure a already posted it 50 or so pages back....)
