Great driving MarkWebber. But it makes me wonder how realistic gt5d is, no braking for turn 4 and last turn?

I can't enter but I am 99.9999999999999999999999999% sure i won't make it into the top 20 for the uk!!-I'll set some more times soon!

Pay attention to his braking... and yes he does brake :) Exactly where he should and just as much as needed.👍

Maybe its the bad quality of the video that make me miss his braking, but it looks like he is not braking for turn 4 and last turn in the normal car.

Ok now I see what you mean.
I'll have to view the replay when I get home tonight. Maybe I'll learn something :)
I'm still on a terrible 1'37.510 with the tuned and my next goal is to reach 1'36.xxx

Yeah he brakes for turn 4, but it's just a stab to get the weight shifter forward on the fron wheels to meet the apex.

I'm not sure we are seeing the same corners.

Last one (T13) is the banked part of the oval. Done flat out. 2nd to last also (T12, usually considered all the same, 12 and 13).

3rd to last (T11) he is the flying over the corner with a little touch of the brakes. I think you mean that one :)

Turn 3 there is definitely no braking, or in T2. I think you mean T4, and yes, a small tap to turn it in is needed. 👍

Actually both corners look the same, not "round" but sharp in. These need bravery and to carry loads of speed to maximize speed in next part of the track. I'm loosing a second from T11 to the finish line...

I can not spot that, so terrible quality. What about turn 11? I cant see braking there either..

hornet_burnout : yes I ment t 4 and 11. I cant see him braking, maybe Its my tv lol

Hum...

Still 28th in PT, even after sitting out the whole weekend.
GTP_BurnOut 1'50.315 1'37.869 3'28.184

Gonna try to give it another go tonight. 1.49 low and 1.36.high are attainable... don't know how many hours (translated into days) will it take, and if I'll have the time (before the TT ends on the 24th), but I'll get there :)

I've noticed you improving constantly ;)

You can make it full screen to see it better, problem is red is the worst colour for image/video compression so it is harder to see.

Turn 11 he also brakes with just a dab, only about 1/4 of the brake bar (smaller than turn 4). lets it coast for a bit though rather than using too much brake.

On turn 11 he is really "brave" and smooth... almost no brake.

Thanks, U2. Slowly familiar names start to become on top ;)
Mestreandre is on a roll... no surprise there. He uses a controller I believe! :s

Doh, the battery of mine contoller is empty so I will be done today.

Tuned: 1'37.218 Goal (1'36.9XX)
Normal: 1'49.665 Goal (1'49.4XX)
Overall: 3'26.883 Goal (3'26.4XX)

BTW: Takeuchi01 reclaimed the No. 1 spot.

I tried for few hours the tuned Nissan and I have to say the grip of that thing is unreal. It reminds me standard physics of gt5p.You need to have very big imagination to go fast. It’s totally wrong. This car has more grip than a f1.Look at kimi @Indianapolis:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxp...FD98D0C5&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=73 and compare that with holl's lap.
Mr Yamauchi you’re going the wrong way.GT5P is almost perfect simulator don’t ruin that. You can compare any hot lap from gt5p with real life video and you see exactly the same inputs. That’s the real driving simulator.
If they drive like the demo at Silverstone, there’re going to be a lot of big accidents.

I agree that in some aspects the tuned car feels very arcadish, especially upon corner entry where you can really fling the car into a corner. Although I'm not sure how you can say the tuned Z generally has more grip than an F1 car when its lap time is nearly 26 seconds slower around a relatively short circuit :odd: I definitely agree that is has too much front end bite considering it's not all that heavily modded from what I can tell, and doesn't really have any massive aero devices, or crazy tires...but it's still nowhere near an F1 car IMO.

I think the stock Z on N3's generally shows a big improvement in physics over Prologue, in terms of weight transfer, low speed physics, and more edgy handling at the limit. However I will say that the car has way too much throttle oversteer for a bone stock 370Z on OEM tires. No way in hell does a stock 370Z need serious throttle modulation in 3rd gear in just about any corner 👎 So in that aspect I'm also left a bit dissapointed. But Maybe the S1/2 tires would be a much more realistic tire for a stock Z 💡

Look at the inputs for the brake and acceleration.
Look how much more Kimi breaks and how late accelerates compared with holl.

Of course this is the case - Kimi's F1 car of that year had over 900hp and half the weight of the tuned Z, making the speed approaching the corner much greater, thus requiring more brake.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldnt the variation of speeds have something to do with that ??? The acceleration of an F1 is more then the tuned 370, yes/no? So by going on that the braking and accelarating points will be different.

My 2c worth, maybe I'm wrong

Beaten to it by TA

Brock are you kidding with the 26 second difference?? If the tuned had 300 hp more the gap would be 6 secs, and we are talking about a 80% heavier car... Don't you wonder why they made the tuned so little faster than the std on a straight line??? GT5D is a joke. Too arcady with the tuned and wet racing with the std.

You can’t drive any car like the gt5 demo in real life.
Watch any real lap onboard.
Or try to drive like that

Before you jump to conclusions, try watching the video in discussion and pay attention to the final laptime, 1'10.xxx. Now going on a 1'36.xxx lap in the tuned, lets do the maths.... 36-10=26 :dunce:

Some people just amaze me.
