Why is it when you're up 0.265 on your days current best of a 1'48.070 does your girlfriend decide to let the cupboard door in the corridoor slam at aproximately 7000 decibels?

Hopefully I can calm down after dinner and get my Normal lap into the 47.8's... :(

Just improved my normal time to 1:47.716. My method? I had the opening credits of the Cannonball run on in the background and I ate a load of Haribo Sour Mix for a mad sugar high. I haven't checked but I don't think I've broken any rules. Highly recommended. ;)

Well done Hyper - a solid return on 14 minutes! 👍

1.35.474
1.47.547
3.23.021

Finally top of the International Leader board, 7th overall on the Global one. Will need a miracle to maintain my position. These last few days are going to be frenetic.

Very nice indeed 👍,close to getting into the 3'22.

Looks like I'm out as I won't have a full license by the final event in the middle of Feb and a provisional isn't enough to play on a PS3 at London 👎 wasted a lot of time on this but time to call it a day due to this clause below, all my own fault for not reading every bit I suppose ...

1.2.4. hold a fully unrestricted (not provisional) valid driving licence issued by the relevant national driving licensing authority (for example the DVLA in the UK), with the appropriate category of vehicle (car) clearly indicated;

That's me fooked :sly: anyway good luck to all in the finals and the lucky few who go beyond  Absolutely gutted here! :yuck::ouch::crazy:

Cyas on track when GT5 comes out in about 2 years :sly:
Cheers
Ron

I hear ya. I don't have a full license for a car either, only a motor bike.
It all depends on when the Belgian finals are and if I can stay in the top 20 until Monday.
I have my driving test in the middle of February. 1 day after the UK finals to be exact.

I thought you were like in your 30s? or am i wrong...? lost your license?

Hurried to include David's fantastic laps into Luxy to show how fast he is - even faster than the flying Dutchie Dan!!!

Well done David, I hope this will help you in your pursuit to an international race career.

Damn...!

:(

Would you go to the UK finals, if someone from here invited you as a guest? I know if I don't make it, I'd love to just go and watch and would pay for fuel/food for anyone who would take me!

It's what I'll be doing if I fluke a top 20 slot by the deadline...much prefer to go with someone who shares my hobby than a friend or family member who doesn't!

Sorry mate, I wouldn't waste my time going to a venue to watch people play in a comp I qualified for with lots of effort, yet basically robbed by some small print ruling that will only really come into play at Silverstone yet is in effect at the national finals on game consoles?

So it's a definite no way I wouldn't travel so far and watch my seat filled by someone with a lower finishing position and a big cheesy grin  ... not for me Thanks ;)

Trying to get my combined into the 3'24s.. I jumped into the black car and managed to shave off nearly half a tenth - which yielded a combined time of 3'25.000 dead lol.

Normal = 1'48.659 / Tuned = 1'36.341 / Total 3'25.000

:)

Just looking back through the times and it's stunning to see some of the laps you guys have put in 👍 I stopped running over the christmas period and kinda lost interest but no way would I have been able to match some of the laps you lot have put in.

The UK leaderboard looks awesome. Alot of GTP names up there and congrats to you all  John, Dan, Ian, Maz keep pushing 👍 Common Chris you can find .014 to make 20th atleast ;)

Best luck into making the top 20 guys

I just saw that now, it's insane stuff.

....and to think i carried on like i'd won the lottery when i broke into the '35's at 1'35.972:ouch:

Ran again for 40mins in the Normal, dropped the time to a 1'48.112 from a .176.....

Total: 3'24.084

Just finished a productive session with the normal car. Maybe it's the last day with the red one before having a last go on the black.

1'47.835

Splits

28'128
54'471
1'16'014
1'33'977

I know the exact splits because after the lap i kept seeing how much i was going over/under them on the following laps.

Lost a bit on the first and on the last sector, so i'm not sure if i should move on to the black. I get confused playing with both cars in the same day:crazy:

Anyway, it's a shame Mister P won't be able to make it to the finals. Ron is a great driver ever since i started OLR, so i'm sure he's gonna have another chance next year:tup:

Just took a tenth off normal car time, which puts me 27th overall. Huge pat on the back for you guys in the 3.23's. I always thought i was quick and had lots of confidence, but holy ##it guys your laps are insane. I'm not that far from the top 20 which i never ever thought was possible, even with the confidence i had, so whatever happens i'm more than happy for what i've achieved.

Good luck to all !!!

Finally broke the 3'25 barrier :)

10th (PT ranking)
Gaviao_GTPT 1'48.591 1'36.391 3'24.982

Although that's only about 700th in the world ranking:ouch:

That matters not Gaviao..... i remember when i broke 3'25.000 thinking i was at my limit...... i'm now at 3'24.084:). Now i'm nowhere near the greats, but i'm very very happy with my efforts.

Keep pressing on mate, there's more time:tup:

Takeuchi lowers the Normal WR to a 1'47.374...... 3'22.688 Total:crazy:

His will to win and drive knows no boundarys......

Waffle, you're still in the top50 using a Sixaxis from a time set weeks ago 👍

Cheers Jack, this weekend is going to be lastminute.com for a lot of us.

Common Chris you can find .014 to make 20th atleast ;)

Looks like he's done it :)

All the best
Maz

Hey guys, i have been looking at some of the TT replays with the tuned car and there is a couple of people (GTGENIUS1982 & alexpez1977) using the runoff area at turn 7 (all 4 wheels off track).

Have a look at the replays, is this fair for people trying to get into the top 20?

All the Best.

Hey Russ, although I'm sure it is arguable, in my experience having all four in the yellow is a guaranteed spin-up, resulting in some level of tire-squeal and loss of speed down the whole straight when you come back onto the unpainted surface. I don't think anyone would mean to go off there, and if they do it probably hurts rather than helps their times. Anyways, you may very well see those replaced with new replays as most folks will probably put in some serious effort this weekend.

Great times being put up by everyone, and congrats to my fellow competitors on the US board for the recent improvements.

EERS, welcome back into the top 10. 👍

EDK, all you have to do is let your belt out a notch and you'll be in the top 20 :dopey:
