That matters not Gaviao..... i remember when i broke 3'25.000 thinking i was at my limit...... i'm now at 3'24.084:). Now i'm nowhere near the greats, but i'm very very happy with my efforts.

Keep pressing on mate, there's more time:tup:

Thanks osg
There's only 3 more days left, my goal is just to improve a few tenths yet and hopefully defend my place in the portuguese top 20

What happens when you do it?

99% sure it would be clean without even watching your lap, soon as your 4 wheels off the track on that turn your lose alot of time, plus i think this is how they wanted the demo to be, wanting people to see how far they can push the boundaries and find extra speed than looked possible, like turn 11, you can cut the corner big time and not be DQ'ed, like takeuchi takes a big chunk off but i dont recomend it as it basically a invalid lap, depends how strict they are.... chances are as long as its not invalid on the game (i.e red lap) it will deemed to be clean. I prefer to take turn 11 with atleast a wheel or two 'on the track' so there is no doubt thats its clean for me, ok i probably lose 0.1 but least i have peace of mind.

Well i suggest you watch the replays first.

Maybe your right you might lose time, but the real question is, do you lose less time going off circuit hammering the throttle trying to straight line the corner and getting wheelspin or having to ease right off the power to avoid oversteer and obviously running off track and compromise your exit speed down the straight?
Now in my opinion thay gain an advantage, maybe not on the top guys but on there own best laps. If they do lose so much time like you think, then they surely would have binned the lap and restarted.

All the best.

Ok i will watch the laps later... but like myself and others have said, i cant see them DQ anyone unless there delibratly gaining a big advantage by cheating.

I couldnt believe my eyes a minute ago, thought id have another go in the normal car, not perticulary excepting to improve but after very little time nailed a 1'47.777 to my amazment:tup:. Was stunned because i was over 0.15 down at T1 and did a big power slide in T3, didnt feel fast atall, maybe its because im trying to be abit more laid back and calm and not expecting to much. Puts me up to 5th in GB.

I've had at least 2 or 3 laps on the board where I had a wall touch, 4 wheels off, or a big corner cut. In every case, I had probably some hard-earned hundredths that I wanted to keep in the ghost lap I was building, so I definitely wanted to finish the lap so I would have a slightly better car to chase afterwards. Like I said in my earlier post, the mistake was not on purpose, and it always got replaced by a faster, cleaner lap.

Just improved my lap time in the normal Z. :D

1'47.768 | 1'35.777 | 3'23.545
Gotta be feeling safe now Dan!

I won't be able to get into the 3'23.5's...No way.

Would anyone else be up for sitting in "online racing chat" on Sunday night waiting for countdown? Even if I don't make it, it'll be fun to be in there when the clock hits 12 and waiting for the final re-fresh of the tables!

I'll be there anyway :)

That attitude wont help, think + or even better dont think about it, just relax and drive the laps. ;) 👍

I might be there, I got Monday off so I can sit up and see if I make it or not. :D

Thanks osg

I'm currently 13th.... but about 1/10th ahead of 20th... Tonight if i get the time might be my last shot at squeezing the 0.085 i need to go Sub 3'24.

I've got a funny feeling the cutoff for the Top 20 here in Australia will be 3'24.000:nervous:

Good luck in getting those 1/10ths gaviao...

Good luck for you too osrg, I hope you make it, you look well placed :)

Fortunately for me the cutoff here looks like it will be at 3'25

I know mate, but I'm good at getting up to speed within a few laps...you take it for granted that you can put 14minutes in and improve lol. My laps now are lottery/bingo laps...!

You'll definately be there at the UK finals mate. Hopefully if I make it too, and if I don't I find someone willing to take me as a guest :D

Edit;

Our British leader EDDSKILL is now ahead of all GTP world wide competitors. Fair play to him - another reason why I'd like to go to the finals, just to see these top level players, that are totally out of our reach!

I'm starting to believe that a top 3 is very much possible here:

1.35.381
1.47.547
3.22.928

According to sectors there is a 1.35.25 hidden in me somewhere.

Ian I think you deserve congratulating anyway, you have grown so much in this competition. I hope I helped you decide on buying a wheel lol (Piston Heads)

That's me finished with the tuned car for this competition, unless I get miraculous results after one day in the normal tomorrow.

N: 1'47.991
T: 1'35.850

>> 3'23.841 [19th in UK]

The 1'35.850 was run from a 25.082 T1 and a 48.32x T2, which is incredibly annoying as I have managed countless 48.11x T2s, but when it won't happen, it won't happen and I've run out of time in this car. See you all at the business end of the weekend ;)

All the best
Maz

1:37:289 - rank 152
1:49:691 - rank 131

total 3:26:980 - rank 125

Haven't played in a few days, ranking slipped a lot, but I'm back up. Chased Kaz's Tuned ghost today and I'm so damn close to beating him!!
Switched to the no.1 guys ghost and can finally keep up with him in some areas. Finally managed to slash some time, but there was 1 attempt where I was 0.4 sec ahead of my PB, but stuffed a corner and spun out :(
So it looks like I can eventually get under 1:37 and beat Kaz :)

Learned a few tricks today, and now the Time Trial is not so bad. I even managed to beat the no. 1 guy through the first 3 turns on one run! I reduced Force Feedback to 2 on the DFGT, seems to work better

1:37:089 - rank 116
1:49:691 - rank 133

total 3:26:780 - rank 115

Damn, what was a fairly ordinary lap on the Tuned Z, at least slower than my last PB in the first half turned out way faster in the 2nd half! I gained a ton of time the last S section somehow, because as I came out of it I saw my 1'37.3+ something ghost turn into a distant object in the rear view mirror!
I also did a totally different exit line out of the last turn, semi-drifting it which seemed faster...

Thought I had finally beat Kaz, but he has improved his Tuned Z time from 1'37.1+ to 1'36.8 :P

More work to do, I just might crack the top 100 before time is up. Who would have thought! 👍

My final time will be a 3:24.2. I'm sure I could get into the 23's but I can't get to Melbourne on the 3rd anyway :( Gave up a few days ago because of it, so just dropped out of the 20. GG and good luck to those going to melb.

I am a GTP competitor, I just forgot to reset my username before this competition :P

Well guys, thats me. I'm away from tomorrow until after deadline.

Tuned: 1'35.972
Normal: 1'48.112

Total: 3'24.084

I ran again for one last time in the Normal tonight, was up by .100 or so over my .112 splits for 5 or 6 laps but butchered the Turn 9/10 complex every time...... my frustration got the better of me :(.

It just wasn't meant to be i guess.

If i'm meant to make the national finals.... that's all the big fella upstairs gifted me with timewise......

Good luck for the last 36 or so hrs everyone.

Takeuchi 1'47.2 with stock car 👍

What the hell! probably more chance of a 1'34 than a 1'46, nearly every driver is about 12.1-12.2 up on the normal time.... so maybe he has a 0.1-0.2 left in the tuned car but these laps are outstanding. Im now 0.9 off again!

1'35.942
1'48.150
---------
3'24.092

5th in Belgium, 247th overall

Still hope to improve my time with tuned, so I can stay in the top 250

I am done since Thursday, I am back home and I left my PS3 at my other place so I won't be able to use it untill monday after the deadline.

Tuned: 1'36.374 (Possible: 1'36.250)
Normal: 1'48.668 (Possible: 1'48.500)
Total: 3'25.042 (Possible: 3'24.750)

Puts me in place 30 in the Dutch rankings as fastest Sixaxis user :). And place 38 in overall ranking of Sixaxis users.

//Edit: I just found the currently fastest laps of Takeuchi01 on youtube to bad it is in car view, but its good quality film.
Normal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GboyDP5YgM
Tuned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyCy7UbAHM8&feature=channel

Have fun watching ;)

Your welcome :). Ohwell it just happend to be this way I must admit it hard to see myself drop out off the top30 slowly :D. But maybe I will go to the finales anyway as a spectator and maybe get to know the Dutch scene abit:tup:.

Goodluck for u through this weekend dough.
