Excuse me. I made am honest error with one corner at suzuka and got rightfully penalised. No body is 'perfect' your consist but slow. I am quick but inconsistent. That's how it goes. Tbh we should just get drop on the thread, listen to what if has to say and take that. Its no offense to mule, a points system is a great idea but I reckon its a little harsh.

I really struggle to see why Kens going on a hissy fit here.. Spurgy wins damn near ever race he does CLEANLY and is extreamely fast. (Was in top 16 UK in GT-A 8-5 iirc, Him or Smuffy)

Same for Nel and Gokart both extreamely fair guys so how you can try to make them out as the dirtiest racers ever is beyond me.. :indiff:

I think the BST pics are what the rules should be.......

I understood the 2 wheels on the curbs rule and thought well surely common sense will be used on old tyres and DEFINATELY with it being Monza. You're taking the fun out of Monza if you arent allowed to attack the curbs as such, there is a different between using them fairly and just plain corner cutting.
You just cant not use the curbs, they're for cars to use them, wouldnt be there otherwise. And I still dont think we were the only 4, no way.

6 points is stupidly unfair 👎.

Theres 'hammering down' on corner cutting (2 wheels on curbs isnt even corner cutting!) and then theres just being plain void of any common sense.

Probably spurgy as I dint know what iirc is

As for your point I agree. Neljack and karman are probably the most clean but fast guys I know and with spurgy everyone knows he wins every race.

It was me god dammit  6th in UK, 39th in the world, obviously because of corner cutting ;)

! Yeah those cones did nothing to stop cheats at all... :dopey: (I was only around 900th.. I suck)

seems like it's turned into TOCA vs NASCAR :indiff:

I dont think so, just inconsisantcy in penalties as Carb highlighted and questionable rules.

What the hell am I/we supposed, brake and steer to avoid curbs we're supposed to used?

The more I think about it, the sillyer it gets.....

Never said they were dirty. Just said they didn't follow the rules that where set forth. Never declined them being fast. Infact, I said I was proud of my slow finish. I'm sure they are fast, great and win all the time. I have no problem with that. I just don't like loose ends like this. It makes the race IMO almost worthless.

Kinda like when Mark McGwire broke the HomeRun record of 70 HR's in a single season but was later to have found using steroids during his career. Its just dissappointing. To think that the great Spurgy cut a bunch of corners. Now I am not perfect, I may have even cut a corner on accident, lose of focus, not to gain time or make a pass. But for someone to be that fast and still just about do it every lap makes me mad. And it makes me more mad that you guys think it's still an honest win. I play in other leagues where this would be a DQ! But Whatever, I'm done with this argument. I will have stats updated by end-of-week. And see ya at SSRX! And Spurgy, your pace is great but your attitude sucks, courtesy and respect goes a long way. I hope this doesn't bite your arse in the real world. Or at SSRX

Actually, yes, IRL would you go drive up on a curb at full throttle? Now that's kinda silly. Maybe that cockpit view you are using isn't too great if you are driving on curbs.

Yawn. Cheap shots. And just saying its not TOCA vs NASCAR, we obviously have differing understandings of the rule. That's all. And spurgy lodged a valid point. Such attitude ken does not help :)

Is this IRL?

There you go.

EDIT: Sorry, didnt realise you meant "In real life" (couldnt you have just typed that for goodness sake)
Have you seen how flar the curbs are on GT5, particually at Ascari? And no, I dont use cockpit view.

iirc or IIRC is: if i recall correctly, IIRC :P

I was trying to emphasise on their fair and clean driving not what your making them out to be. (Nel is one who would never even think of cheating.. He just doesn't have it in him.) I didn't get to where I am today without having a good attitude and generally I'm a good judge of character due to my previous experience. (Real and online) I pretty certain that these "cuts" are minor at best and chalk up to .1/.2 at best not the amount your making it out to be.

Sorry to say but from where I am sitting seems the poor attitude rests in you Ken. Nel, Spurgy and Gokart (Smuffy too but never raced him so :P) all have great attitudes to racing and respect every single other driver on track.. Even if they sometimes don't respect them back.

I'll hush now as this arguement will get the thread no where. (It would be nice if Mule has a look at all the racers though, to be fair on everyone)

Cheers, but track limits should be added to that to, all of us. 👍

Neljack has been racing in my series for nearly a year now and not ONCE has he cheated nor have I given him a warning.
Neljack is a very clean and respectful driver 👍

Thought good attitudes to racing covered that.. Bad attitude to racing = Cheat to win etc..

My interpretation of this is:

Two wheels should stay outside the white line which indicates what is racing surface and what is not. By the outside wheel touching the curb means it has crossed the white line, therefore it is an infraction of the rules and subject to subsequent penalties.

I think MÜLE was fair to give 7 chances.

I agree, nobody is saying that Alex or Sam would cheat knowingly, hence the 'accidental' part. It's simply that there is a rule and it should be upheld, irrespective of whether the drivers are known as generally clean or not.

👍

Nel was my partner and also my lover.

I'll add to the above that the reason these normally clean guys are chalking up penalties may be due to the fact that the cutting rules in other series are so much more relaxed compared to here. You're not used to it, you shouldn't take it personally.

But this is my point now, the rules are so frickin stupid :ouch:

Ill respect them (the rules) for the rest of the season of course, but it's stupid, my opinion of that wont change.

Shall I attack that Curb that I normally use in many other race series fairly without gaining any advantage (maybe a few hundreds)? Nah, not allowed.

Im not saying the pens mean Im an unfair driver or my reputation is damage or any crap like that, I just think the rules are stupid, and clearly they arent going to be changed this season, but im not keeping my opinions to myself, whether anyone likes it or not.

EDIT: Yeah I know Tom I understand that mate 100% not happy with guys like Ken making us look like Scape goats which hasnt helped.........

Well sorry for calling out the "Corner Cutters"(p.c. from the term "cheaters" I was using).
